It's been waaay too long since I've posted a hunka-burnin' techjoyment hottie, so I decided to spice up this week's matchup with a touch of testosterone. This guy is so hip with his iPhone, that he's even got a lime green colored case like Reese Witherspoon (although hers is the BlackBerry version). Know who it is?

A recent survey released by Retrevo (an electronics shopping site) comparing iPhone and Blackberry users paints an interesting picture. The respondents are 445 iPhone and BlackBerry owners distributed across gender, age, income, and location in the US. Highlights include:
- 35 percent of iPhone users would be turned off by a date with outdated gadgets.
- iPhone owners use their phones more — they claim to consume more adult content, videos, news, and sports scores.
- iPhone owners text more often than BlackBerry users.
- iPhone owners claim to be more extroverted, bigger jocks, and more intellectual.
I use both a BlackBerry and an iPhone, so I'm not sure how I feel about the results of the survey.

On a recent episode of How I Met Your Mother, Marshall and Ted decided to take a road trip to Chicago, while leaving Lily back at Crumpet Manor. While the guys were gone, Marshall called Lily several times to apologize for taking off without letting her know. Luckily for her (and him!), she was so caught up in her relaxing treatments that she didn't even know he was calling (even though her phone was on vibrate).

You already know that you can brush up on a language by changing the settings on your gadgets, but what if you need to start from the beginning and learn the basics of a new language? The good news is you don't have to drop a fortune on one of those learn-at-home courses, but instead, you can download the Byki app for your iPhone and study up on the basics of 15 languages so you can be prepared for your next trip abroad.
Using flash cards, quizzes, phrasebooks, and a Perfect Recall program that tracks which words you're having trouble with, then gives you those words more often, you're sure to impress the next time you visit a foreign country.

I love the Kindle because I can not only read books and blogs, but I can download newspapers and magazines. The downside? They don't have some of my favorite periodicals, and let's face it — it's a pretty pricey gadget whose only function is reading.

It's a rare treat to see a celebrity with an iPhone because we're usually bombarded with BlackBerrys! This famous actress was recently spotted breaking a sweat with an iPhone and a pair of signature Apple white earphones. Have you figured out who it is?

I like using Loopt because it connects me to my other Loopt buddies in a snap. Plus, it shows me their reviews and favorites so I know what bar to hit up on my next girls' night out, or where to go for the best cup of coffee in the city. I loved the Loopt update from a few months ago, which made the easy to use app even slicker, but now with their next venture, it will be even easier to meet new people and expand your social circle.

Ever wish you could try out a paid iPhone app before you bought it? You may be able to soon! Apple recently sent an email to developers stating in-app purchases would be allowed in free apps.

Pepsi's Amp Up energy drink (another one?!) has created a free iPhone app that gives players "up-to-the-minute info, feeds, lines" so that they can talk to their favorite kinds of women — "24 in all."
Basically, men can either get tips before they score, or they can upload details of their hookups as a result of these indubitably useful apps after they score. Nice touch, Pepsi.
