The much talked about Victoria's Secret show took place yesterday afternoon in New York City. There were a lot of questions raised about who would walk in the show as many of the Angels, including Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima and Karolina Kurkova, are either pregnant or have just given birth. The Fall '09 campaign, shot by David Sims, catches Isabella absolutely breathtaking in a windblown stance wearing a cozy Chesterfield coat from the collection, which by the way only costs $155! The black-and-white image match +J's simple aesthetic, and check out how her crazy, tousled hair adds a cool twist. Love what you see? The new line, debuting Oct. 1, will also include knitwear, denim, shirts, button-down jackets, and sweaters all priced from $20 to $150.

Fab Ad: Roberto Cavalli, Fall '09

Roberto Cavalli's Fall ad campaign is a scene we're all too familiar with: paparazzi shots inside nightclubs. Models Isabeli Fontana (a Cavalli favorite; she was in this Fall '09 campaign, too) and Karen Elson reenact today's celeb craze inside the El Morocco nightclub in NYC. Photographer Steven Meisel, whose first time it was working with the designer, was there document the chaos. The guy in the back is clearly choosing to stay out of the altercation, but Isabeli takes matters into her own hands by splashing alcohol at the pesky photogs. And Karen looks like she's about to cause some damage as well. What do you make of all this?

Fab Ad: Missoni Spring '09

Natasha Poly and Isabeli Fontana's serious faces in Missoni's Spring '09 campaign immediately caught my attention. Shot by Steven Meisel, the models look mannequin-like while wearing an array of Missoni's colorful clothes and accessories. The contrast between Natasha's punchy, pink short set and Isabeli's slate blue ensemble complement one another to perfection. I also fancy their matte makeup palette and ruby red lips. The beach scene is nothing new in Spring campaigns but it works. After all, what girl wouldn't like to picture herself relaxing on the sand in Missoni?

Isabeli Fontana to Replace Natalia Vodianova For Chanel

There are plenty of rumours flying around today that model Isabeli Fontana will replace Natalia Vodianova as the face of Chanel Beauty for Spring 2009. Chanel have neither confirmed nor denied the rumours, but 25 year old Brazilian model Isabeli was quoted on Fashion Spot talking about flying to Paris to shoot the campaign. Meanwhile NY magazine The Cut has ran with the story, stating that Natalia has been knocked off the Chanel campaign to make way for Isabeli.

Earlier this year Natalia and Isabeli both won the Versace ad campaign and it was suggested that the choice of two (relatively) curvy supermodels and mothers was a bold move for Donatella. Personally I think Isabeli is a great choice for Chanel's seriously seductive Spring line, but lets not write off Natalia just yet. What do you think of this news?

Fab Flash: Gisele Tops List of High-Earning Models in 2008

Forbes' annual list of the world's top-earning models is out, and Gisele takes the top spot again this year.

She has accumulated $35 million (!) in the last 12 months from her former contract with Victoria's Secret, her ads for Versace, a lucrative deal with Max Factor, plus those popular sandals of hers; and that's just to name a few of the sources.

Heidi Klum trails behind in second place with $14 million in earnings, which is no surprise between Project Runway and her Victoria's Secret contract. But the real surprise - to me, anyway - is that Tyra isn't on the list.

Fab Flash: Natalia and Isabeli Snag Versace Campaign

Donatella Versace may be all about celebrities to front her mens line (cough) Patrick Dempsey, but over at Versace womens, it's all about the models. Fab favorites Isabeli Fontana and Natalia Vodianova have been tapped to replace Gisele Bundchen for the Versace Fall ads.

The new duo is shooting with photographer Mario Testino today in Manhattan - perfect, since Donatella's in town for the launch of Versace's menswear. I can't say how glad I am to see models in campaigns again!

Welcoming Karl With Folded Arms

Folded arms are usually associated with nonchalance and/or moodiness.

While it was somewhat surprising at first glance, it's not entirely shocking that Karl Lagerfeld had the models for his Fall '08 collection walk down the runway with folded arms. It's ironic that the robot-like designer was the one to encourage human qualities in his models.

You will see cue cards backstage telling models to smile and have fun, but you rarely see them mentioning arm movements. It's about time they put those long limbs to use! Karl's girls - Anja Rubik (right), Natasha Poly, Isabeli Fontana, Raquel Zimmermann, Ali Stephens, and Karlie Kloss - all did just that and brought some real-life emotions to the otherwise stiff clothes. So is folding arms a new catwalking trend? I guess we'll have to wait and see . . .
