A little bit of rain didn't scare Rachel Bilson from heading out for some breakfast in LA. Everyone's gotta eat, right? To fend off the raindrops, the actress donned a cozy, rain-proof outfit consisting of a khaki trench, white tee, oatmeal cardi, skinny jeans, and Jimmy Choo for Hunter rain boots. For accessories, she donned her favorite bag-of-the-moment: a Phillip Lim studded bow bag. Functional, yet totally cute.

I recently heard about a new bar in SF that's right up my '70s-loving alley: Kozy Kar Bar. Apparently, there are waterbeds, hard drinks, shag carpet, and Playboy pinups all around. Sounds like a cheesy good time, no? I rounded up some friends to check it out, and asked you to dress me up according to the groovy theme. ICYMI, Hussein Chalayan partnered with J Brand to deliver a collection of forward jeans. This J Brand Hussein Chalayan Circuit Low Rise Zipper Jean ($258) is one of them. It's different from other skinny jeans due to the bunching at the center of the leg. I can't see it being flattering on many body types, but it would work for an experimental gal. Are you that gal?

There are some funkier-than-funky jeans out there right now. What started with a few holes has now taken off into all-out shreds, colorful paint splatters, psychedelic tie-dye, see-through mesh, lace-insets, and so on. One of my favorite denim brands, Siwy, takes the prize for designing some of the most daring denim - these Sheer Mesh Skinny Jeans ($242) are '80s sexy but only fit for bold fashionistas. J Brand Designs David Bowie-Inspired Denim

J Brand and LA designer Henry Duarte are teaming up to bring you some rockin' denim. Three low-rise skinny jeans, due out in December, are inspired by David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust album. Cool! The jeans, retailing for $250, have details such as exposed zippers, topstitching, and Duarte's signature lace-up front. "I wanted to combine my signature details with the simplicity that J Brand is known for, while keeping the jeans wearable and affordable," said Duarte. Sounds good, can't wait to see them live.

How Much Is Too Much When It Comes to Shredded Jeans?

Seeing Audrina Patridge's crazily shredded jeans made me wonder: how much is too much when it comes to shredded jeans? Surely everyone has their limits. Since I'm not into the overly '80s thing, mine is three medium-sized shreds, max. I don't like my denim too brash. I'm curious, what's your limit when it comes to shredded jeans?

I much prefer walking around Bloomie's than perusing its online site, but I always make an exception for a sale. Its sale section currently houses designer clothing and accessories from 25 to 40 percent off. I can roll with that. What I dig about these J Brand Cut-Off Shorts ($106, originally $141) is the slightly longer cut. True, itty bitty shorts are hotter, but these are good for those times when you're feeling subtle (or for more professional matters).
