Jade Goody's Family Win Legal Damages
The late Jade Goody's family have won legal damages after they settled a High Court action regarding photographs taken at Jade's private burial. While the photos from the public funeral were part of the family's wish for the public to be able to say goodbye to the reality star, the private burial was for family only, but a photo from the day was published on the front page of The People.
The newspaper group and a photo agency agreed to pay £35,000 in damages, as well as legal costs.

Sugar Bits — Victim Angry at Jack Tweed's Short Jail Sentence
- Stephen Wilkins, the taxi driver who was attacked by Jack Tweed, has accused magistrates of going easy on Jack because of the publicity surrounding Jade Goody’s death. He believes Jack was let-off lightly with a 12-week jail term, and his solicitor has said they are considering an appeal. — Mirror
- It has been revealed in Jade Goody's diary, Jade: Forever In My Heart, that the Queen sent a message through her secretary conveying her "warmest good wishes" to Jade and her family.
Jack Tweed Jailed For 12 Weeks
Jack Tweed — Jade Goody's widower — has been sentenced to twelve weeks in jail today, after being found guilty in March of assaulting taxi driver Stephen Wilkins. The assault took place in Essex in May 2008, and Jack had denied the offence.
Jack assaulted the taxi driver while already on bail for hitting a boy with a golf club — which he also denied.
Jade Goody Is Laid To Rest
Jade Goody's funeral took place at the weekend, with thousands of mourners gathering along the procession route, and outside St John's Church in Buckhurst Hill, Essex to watch the service on a large screen. Jack Tweed and Jade's mum Jackiey Budden were in attendance, while Jade's sons Bobby and Freddie did not attend the service — they are currently away on holiday with their father, Jeff Brazier.
Jack helped carry the coffin into the church for the service which included some of her favourite music, and a poem written and read by her husband.
Jade Goody's Life in the Public Eye
Jade Goody's funeral took place yesterday at St John's Baptist Church in Buckhurst Hill, Essex. She showed remarkable courage as she faced the end of her life with her typical openness. Ever since she entered the public eye on Big Brother in 2002, Jade has been happy to share her life with us, through various reality TV shows and honest interviews.
