While her lawyer was back in court today rescheduling the deposition and next custody hearing, Britney went shopping for Christmas presents for her boys. Back to that in a second, but wait a minute-does that OK! cover say that Britney's 16-year-old sister Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant!? TMZ has a few more details from the article including that Brit herself doesn't even know yet and the father is Jamie Lynn's longtime boyfriend Casey Aldridge. Wow, just wow. There's another Spears baby coming our way? If it's true, talk about a shocking pregnancy. As for that custody hearing for the big sis, it's set for February 19 and Brit has to actually show up and give her deposition sometime before then. Seriously though, who would have thought that for today, Britney's not the biggest news-making Spears girl around?

UPDATE: Nickelodeon has issued the following statement: "We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being."

Pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears Finally Comes Out For Fresh Air

Jamie Lynn Spears dropped a bomb on us with her shocking pregnancy at the tail end of 2007 but she has been in hiding ever since. Now we finally get our first peek at the pregnant teen holding her GED book while supposedly leaving an adult education class in Kentwood, LA yesterday. While Jamie Lynn can barely lift her head up in her oversized sweatshirt, momager Lynne was there to provide just enough of a smirk to show she is getting somewhat of a thrill out of all of this. Well at least Jamie Lynn is staying out of trouble unlike another Spears we know.

Jamie Lynn Talks About Her (Admittedly) Shocking Pregnancy

Yesterday we were totally taken off guard by the news that 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant, and now we have some details from her surprising (and probably lucrative) exclusive interview with OK! Magazine. It sounds like she wasn't expecting the news, and even kept it to herself to process for a while before telling anyone. Plus, she's planning to raise her child in Louisiana so he or she can "have a normal family life." Maybe she learned something from Brit after all? Here are highlights from the interview:

On learning the news: "It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected...I was in complete and total shock and so was he...As soon as I found out for sure from the doctor, I took two weeks to myself where I didn't tell anybody...Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone's opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me."
Lynne on her daughter's pregnancy: "I didn't believe it because Jamie Lynn's always been so conscientious. She's never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby."
On premarital sex (why even ask): "I definitely don't think it's something you should do; it's better to wait, but I can't be judgmental because it's a position I put myself in."

Still, wow. Also, Jamie Lynn was supposedly seen going to see Juno in NYC on Monday. How appropriate. In related news, Lynne Spears' parenting book has been "delayed indefinitely." Um, surprise? Britney seems like she's still in denial and I will say that I can't wait to read the rest of this interview - still in serious shock from the news.

Jamie Lynn Spears has laid pretty incredibly low since announcing her teen pregnancy to the world back in December, but these days she's been stepping out more back home in Kentwood, LA. She's still not showing off that baby bump in any skin tight shirts, but, uh, I guess she's not grounded anymore? Maybe Lynne Spears gave her younger daughter some leniency after passing her GED. Hey, let's hear it for the Spears girls on the up and up?

Jamie Lynn Spears is apparently showing off some bling to go with that growing baby bump. According to People, the 16-year-old future mom is engaged to her 18-year-old boyfriend Casey Aldridge. Ever since we learned of the pregnancy, there have been rumors of rocky roads between the young couple, so this comes as a bit of a shock - but I guess we're used to surprises from Jamie Lynn at this point. While we understand wanting to tie the knot before having their baby, it still seems a bit rushed considering their youth. Jamie Lynn's a Single Momma to Be

It's pretty clear that Lynne Spears is not a mom we'd take advice from. As if Jamie Lynn's shocking pregnancy wasn't already sad enough, Life & Style is reporting that that she and the baby's father Casey Aldridge aren't even seeing each other anymore.

Apparently the couple has broken up a few times in the past, and they have no plans to get married. According to Jamie Lynn's interview in OK! Casey has been supportive even though they had not planned this and were both shocked by the news themselves.

Jamie Lynn also discussed her desires to learn the sex of the baby, morning sickness and her hopes for a healthy baby. To read more quotes just read more

Here are some highlights from CBB:

On the sex of the baby:
I want to find out as soon as I can because I'm impatient. I just want a healthy, happy baby, so the whether it's a boy or a girl really doesn't matter.

On names:
I haven't thought about baby names yet. I would have to hear some options!

On morning sickness:
I definitely had sickness, but it's getting better. It was at its worst a few weeks ago.

On believing she'll be a good mom:
I love babies, and I have my nephews that I love. I have a great mom and she has raised three kids, so if I take lessons from her, I think I'll be great. All my friends have little brothers or sisters.

On Casey as a father:
He has always been good with babies. He's like a big teddy bear, especially around babies, so I know he'll make a good dad.

Her hopes for 2008:
Just to have a healthy baby and a healthy pregnancy and for everything to fall in place and to become a stronger person from here.

Jamie Lynn Spears may be getting into the home stretch of her pregnancy, but she's not letting that get in the way of matchy matchy accessories running errands with Casey in Kentwood yesterday. From the earrings to the bangle to the shoes, JL was getting in the spirit of her upcoming baby girl with all the pink. Between her two baby showers and frequent shopping trips little Jamie Lynn has to be almost ready for her daughter to arrive - or as prepared as one could ever be, I suppose.

I don't know if you watch the highly addictive and ridiculously snooty show Gossip Girl, but last night's episode touched on the teen-pregnancy hot topic (Jamie Lynn Spears anyone?)

With a baby in tow, I've definitely lost my fear of walking up to the counter with a pregnancy test but before a child entered my life, I was a nervous wreck - even with a ring on my finger! As a teenage high schooler, I probably would have puked all over the counter from a bad case of nerves.
