Most of the time, Jay Leno's jokes fall under the category of "dad humor." (Maybe that's your thing?) But his headlines segments get me every time. I love found humor, and sometimes these newspaper ads make you wonder if people are high when they write this stuff!

One of my favorite segments on The Tonight Show is when Leno busts out his absurd and insane newspaper clippings. Here's the best of the best, from a buffet crack bar advertisement to an announcement about mangled forks up for resale. In most cases, people actually pay to print this garbage, and in other cases, it's just too good of a headline for the paper to pass up. Example: "Local Child Wins Gun From Fundraiser." Who wouldn't run that story?

Jay-Z sported a Louis Vuitton hoodie as he walked out of his hotel in Glasgow yesterday. He has a reason to put a little extra pep in his step - his new Blueprint 3 album sold 476,000 copies, scoring him his 11th number one spot on the Billboard charts. This breaks the record for most top spots held by a solo artist, a title Jay-Z took from Elvis Presley. Between this news, headlining the VMAs on Sunday, and performing on Jay Leno's new show, this week is shaping up to be a great one for the all-star rapper.

Ryan Phillippe Has a Few Wounds to Nurse

Ryan Phillippe isn't usually a sunshine and rainbows kinda guy, but he was looking particularly down both at the airport and at the gym this week. It wasn't exactly the greatest weekend for him since his Stop-Loss bombed at the box office. There's also the whole Reese and Jake trip to Cabo - even though Ryan said he was happy for his ex-wife, seeing Jake vacationing with his little ones has to hurt just a little. To top it all off, Ryan's name is being dragged into headlines thanks to Jay Leno's gay jokes which made even Ryan uncomfortable. Jay has since apologized but it's kind of sad that no one will remember Ryan's appearance on the show for anything other than this controversy now.

That's why there's workgrrs, a website that lets you vent about everything you're holding inside. Sharing your anonymous office gripes on the site may just help you from having a "did I say that out loud?" moment at work from holding it all in for so long.

Another job site that I recently came across is Not Hired, an amusing site that was created by some good-humored "HR monkeys and hiring managers." The site compiles and picks apart real resumes, Craigslist job wanted ads, and interview antics, all which are fatally flawed. The premise kind of reminds me of the headlines that Jay Leno reads aloud on his show - it's hard to believe some of the entries are real!
