Do You Think a "Friends" Movie Is a Good Idea?

After the success of the Sex and the City movie, we weren't that surprised to hear the rumor resurface that Friends could be the next TV show to hit the big screen. There's been talk of the project for years, but Jennifer Aniston supposedly hadn't expressed enough interest in doing the film until now. Friends is still one of our favorite shows ever, but do you think it's a good idea to make it a movie?

Friends Reunion Rumors Again

Here we go again. I have written about this one a dozen times but I won't stop until we know if it is for real. Jennifer Aniston was interviewed while promoting The Break-Up and once again the Friends reunion question came up. She said she would like to play Rachel Green again. She said, "The only thing I can think of doing is maybe for fun doing a Thanksgiving episode... Our Thanksgiving episodes were really fun."

Hmm, wasn't hubby Brad a guest star on a Thanksgiving episode? Well it shows she has some good memories with Brad involved. Now that Matthew Perry is about to star in a new sitcom on NBC we think it may be harder to get the group back together but we still look forward to the chance that we'd get to see the gang again.

Jennifer Aniston took her shiny Bentley for a spin in LA yesterday afternoon. She was chatting away on her cellphone, though she stayed within the limits of the law by using her hands free device. Jennifer is back in California after a relaxing trip with friends to Cabo, where she was spotted soaking up the sun in her favorite purple bikini. It's already time for Jennifer to get back to work, and she was spotted heading into a meeting with a prepacked meal in hand.

Jennifer Aniston in Her Bikini Is an Easy Choice

Jennifer Aniston continued her relaxation and bikini time in Cabo on Friday, spending time with friends and basking in the sun. Jennifer said that she would be heading off on an adventure before starting work on Goree Girls in the New Year, but it looks like she stuck to her favorite vacation spot in Mexico. By Sunday she was back in California with her new glow. Last week, Jennifer scored a People's Choice nomination for Favorite Movie Actress, an award she's won in the past. She's up against some tough competition like Kristen Stewart, though Jen's already beaten out one up-and-comer recently when you all shot down the notion that Blake Lively's haircut is as iconic as "The Rachel."

Jennifer Aniston Had a 2008 Full of Love, Friends, and Health

Jennifer Aniston graces the cover of People's Best of 2008 issue with a puppy draped over her shoulders and a smile on her face. It's been an incredible year for Jennifer romantically and personally, and she's ending it with a bang releasing Marley & Me. In the magazine she answers questions from fans, including a cute one about your favorite celebrity pet of the year, Norman. Here's highlights:

On Norman and Dolly being jealous of Marley: "Oh, play it for me, Misti! Dolly didn't travel to Miami because she is too young at 2 ½, and to put her in a trailer didn't seem fair. All Norman wants to do is just lie at my feet, which is what I like. [The trainers] were strict about letting the Marleys play with other dogs. But there was no jealousy because Norman is very secure. Norman is now 13, but even back [as a puppy] he was as cool as a cucumber. He's just a person in a dog suit."
On favorite holiday traditions: "My favorite tradition is picking out my tree and then the tree trimming. I just got mine! And there's eggnog, Christmas carols, usually chili, cupcakes. I've cooked the chili – my mom has a great recipe. But now I have a lovely lady cook it because I want people to be happy!"
On remarrying: "I don't know! I honestly don't know. I'm not against it. Maybe (smiles). Maybe, sure."
On turning 40: "I'm very excited. I had more of a panic going into 30. I think you realize that it just gets better. When they say youth is wasted on the young, it's so true. Oh my God, what I wish I'd known when I was 30!"
On getting over bad days: "You just have to love your life. I have my health, I have my friends, I have my loved ones. I'm extremely lucky."

Methinks Feb. 11 can't come soon enough so Jennifer can stop answering questions about her 40th birthday, but of course she answered with grace and her famous sense of humor. As for the holidays, between her chili and John's baking sounds like they've got the makings of some new traditions of their own.

A Friends spinoff movie appears to be closer than ever after comments made over the weekend, by James Michael-Tyler who played Gunther in the hit show. He said, "Friends: The Movie is definitely on. I still keep in touch with a lot of the cast and they say that they are really keen." With the success of the Sex and the City movie, and the second one on its way, it must be tempting to the cast although as Lisa Kudrow pointed out, the shows had very different formats. Still, she says she remains open to the prospect of it, fifteen years later. I'd like to know if you would like to see Chandler, Joey, Ross, Rachel, Monica and Phoebe reunited on the big screen? Let me know!

Is the Blake the New Rachel?

In the '90s, one hairstyle reigned supreme: the Rachel. When Jennifer Aniston debuted this layered bob for Friends, it seemed like half the women in America followed suit. It truly is the era's iconic haircut. Now, The New York Times makes the case for Blake Lively's hair being the It style for this decade. "Her hair right now is a big trend," said New York stylist Nuri Yurt, adding that it works only for tall, thin women.

Blake Lively does have beautiful hair, but is it groundbreaking and iconic the way the Rachel was? I'm not convinced. What about you - do you think this is the new iconic cut, or is it just a bunch of buzz?

She may be back on the same coast where John Mayer recently spilled his guts about their breakup, but that big smile tells us that she might not have her ex-boyfriend on the brain, and even if he is there's nothing better than being seen looking so hot. Jennifer Aniston showed off her perfectly toned arms and always-impeccable hair - though I must say some oddly-fitting pants - visiting a friend's house in LA on Friday afternoon. After her boyfriend John Mayer's impassioned plea to the city council to regulate paparazzi instead of finding him around town, they spotted his lady. While Jen has been more frequently photographed out, about, and looking fabulous since hooking up with John, she's certainly never one to court the media like he does. Even so, we're never ones to complain about the extra doses of Jen these days.

Jennifer and John Make Time For a Play Date

After a night out at Villa on Sunday, Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer slipped back into their basics to hang out at a friend's house in LA yesterday. John has one more show in California tonight before heading to Arizona tomorrow on his slow trek back east. As much as we'd love to see Jen and John heating up the desert, we can't expect busy Jen to play groupie to John for every one of his gigs. Tonight, though, maybe watching her man up on stage can help keep Jen's mind off the fact that today would be her 8th anniversary with Brad Pitt.
