British and Irish Manjoyment Comes to Toronto Film Festival

Lots of gorgeous men from our side of the pond travelled across the Atlantic to make an appearance at the Toronto Film Festival this weekend, following Dominic Cooper and Paul Bettany's lead from last week. Ewan McGregor and George Clooney continued their bromance promoting The Men Who Stare at Goats, and travelled from Venice Film Festival to Canada, as did Matt Damon and his wife Luciana. Cillian Murphy was joined Brendan Gleeson for the premiere of Perrier's Bounty, while Colin Farrell was on the promotional trail for Triage. Ben Whishaw was at the Festival for Bright Star, and Ben Barnes premiered Dorian Gray.

While others flocked to New York Fashion Week, Penelope Cruz, Amanda Seyfried, Megan Fox, and Jennifer Connelly made their way to Canada for the Toronto Film Festival. Each lady showed off her unique style, donning pretty frocks in a rainbow of colors. Penelope's seafoam one-shoulder confection complemented her amazing tan; Amanda's Brian Atwood pumps added a hard edge to her berry frock; Megan looked decadent and dangerous in her lace minidress; and Jennifer radiated sophistication in a tomato-red sheath and Yves Saint Laurent platform pumps. Does Jennifer Connelly ever not look amazing? When it comes to complementary makeup colors, the actress is a very lucky gal. While she has cool-toned features, like icy green eyes and deep, dark eyebrows, she's also able to wear warm tones, particularly with that golden tan she's got in the last two photos. Yesterday at a press conference for her new flick, Creation, the actress wore a poppy-pink lip color, while the day before, she walked the red carpet at the 2009 Toronto Film Festival with an amped-up rosy red. (I do also believe she is one of the rare people who can pull off a reddish eye shadow.) What's your favorite lipstick shade on Jennifer? Do you prefer a pretty in pink? A sexy red? Or, would you go with a basic nude?

Megan, Amanda and Penelope Shine at Toronto Film Festival

Stars of the big screen were in Canada last night to premiere their movies at the 2009 Toronto Film Festival. Megan Fox, Amanda Seyfried, Adam Brody and Diablo Cody came together for Jennifer's Body. Amanda changed outfits to join boyfriend Dominic Cooper for the premiere of his film An Education, which was also attended by his costars Peter Sarsgaard and Carey Mulligan. InStyle UK's current cover girl Jennifer Connelly and husband Paul Bettany looked totally loved up at the premiere of their film about Charles Darwin, Creation, while Penelope Cruz dazzled in her bright dress at the Broken Embraces premiere.

Jennifer Connelly's Kids Are Free to Curse at Home

When a child first curses, it's how parents handle it that makes all the difference - some are shocked while others choose overlook the slippage. There are even moms and dads that allow their kiddos to express themselves with four-letter bombs in certain circumstances.

While Jennifer Connelly, mom to Kai, 12, and Stellan, 6, sat down with Jimmy Kimmel last night, she tells him that she is adamant about making sure her kids are well-disciplined and polite, but that she has given in to use of curse words in certain contexts. According to the actress, words that are considered "forbidden" in most homes are tolerable in hers, as long as they are not directed at an individual and they are not used in public forums. Do you have different sets of rules for inside and outside the home?

Jennifer Connelly stars on the cover of InStyle's October issue, looking rather stunning in silver. While she dressed down in a t-shirt, jeans and biker boots for her interview, by the time she was in front of the cameras she was glammed up in head to toe Balenciaga - check out those scarily high wedges! She talked to the magazine about living in New York with her hubby Paul Bettany and their children, and also about her new movie Creation which she costars in with Paul - will you see it or skip it?

On Paul: "He is a really good person - he is funny, he's smart and he's kind. He will surrender without vanity or ego to the story, which I really admire."
On how their relationship helped their roles in Creation: "Darwin [Paul] and his wife Emma [Jennifer] knew each other since childhood. They were first cousins, so the relationship I have with Paul and our degree of intimacy supported the ease and comfort our characters have with each other."

Jennifer Connelly has returned as the face of Balenciaga this Autumn after a brief hiatus. She last appeared in the campaign in Spring 2008 in an impressive heeled gladiator boots. I am happy to see her return to Balenciaga, but can't help but feel that this campaign is a bit awkward. Fellow blogger Sassy Bella was less than impressed by the shot, which has also been described as looking like she'd passed out drunk. One things for sure, it certainly shows off the clothing well. Otherwise, I'm not sure about this image which was shot by Steven Meisel – what do you think?

Jennifer Connelly is back as the Balenciaga muse. For Spring '08 she was standing proud, she sat out two seasons, and for Fall she's sprawled out on a couch. Many are commenting that her pose this time around is awkward and too sexy for the house, but I think her pose last time was equally stiff and awkward. Let me paint the picture for you: legs spread, arms stretched, and nearly falling off a couch, albeit in ultra chic polka-dot tights and killer shoes. Just looking at it is giving me a pain in my neck. What do you make of this?

Jennifer Connelly Makes Time For Bikinis & Boys in Bora Bora

The family is enjoying a break before the boys head back to school this Fall, when Jennifer's latest round of ads for Balenciaga will also be out. She and Paul, who met on the set of A Beautiful Mind, will get to work as well promoting their latest movie together, Creation. Jennifer's not a contender in this year's bikini bracket, but she's a shoo-in for next Summer's contest.

Creation: See It or Skip It?

Starring Paul Bettany as Charles Darwin, Creation tells the story of the publication of The Origin of Species. Described as "part ghost story, part psychological thriller, part heart-wrenching love story", the film depicts young Darwin's struggle between his revolutionary discoveries and his love for his deeply religious wife (Jennifer Connelly). Also starring Jeremy Northam and Benedict Cumberbatch, it is due for release at UK cinemas in Autumn 2009, so check out the trailer below and let me know whether you plan to see it or skip it.
