The Flintstones would be so proud to see how their Stone Age fashions have influenced some of fashion's best. Peep Jeremy Scott's Spring '10 collection to see what I'm talking about. The quirky designer featured an awe-inspiring line based off the hit '60s cartoon complete with bone barrettes, bright colors, and animal prints. No doubt, Wilma and Betty would be super stoked to wear his kitschy confections. Thankfully, you don't have to buy designer to achieve the Flintstones' archaic look. London Fashion Week, Spring 2010: Jeremy Scott

New York designer Jeremy Scott opened the final day of London Fashion Week for Spring 2010. The show was a real pick me up with bright colours, funky music and the craziest beauty looks I've seen all week. The line was heavily inspired by the stone age, or more specifically The Flintstones with cartoonish animal prints, jagged hemlines and a bright neon colour palette. Famous models packed the catwalk with appearances from Liberty Ross, Pixie Geldof and Daisy Lowe who commented it was the "best hair n makeup ever!" All of the looks were styled with bone sandals and leather gloves.

Gareth Pugh to Launch Fragrance

Young British designer Gareth Pugh recently took his collection to Paris Fashion Week but it seems he now wants to add more to his CV by launching a fragrance. Along with the equally controversial designer Jeremy Scott and London based duo Preen the designers are turning their noses to creating a perfume as part of the Six Scents Fragrance Initiative.

The initiative raises funds for the Designers Against AIDS International AIDS Awareness Education Center in Antwerp, Belgium. Only two thousand of each unisex fragrance will be created and available by the end of the year from stores such as Colette in Paris and Seven in New York.

Pugh named his fragrance 'Diagonal' (supposed to represent the ambiguous slant of the fragrance which has dark masculine tones and feminine elements) whilst Scott titled his 'Sex'.

Back in October, I witnessed Jeremy Scott's cheeky Spring '08 collection at LA Fashion Week. Lindsay Lohan, pictured with good friend Jeremy, wore his traffic-sign mini skirt to the party for her Paper magazine cover. It's such a relief to see LL in something other than leggings! Here, she looks mature and funky at the same time . . . an ideal combo she should try more often.

Fab Flash: Superheroes at the 2008 Costume Institute Exhibit

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has chosen "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy" as the theme of its Spring exhibit. The museum plans to explore the superhero's iconic costume of cape, mask, and bodysuit as it has appeared in fashion. The exhibit, which is co-chaired by Giorgio Armani, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and Vogue editor Anna Wintour, will run from May 7 to September 1, and the accompanying gala, known as the Oscars of the fashion industry, will be hosted on May 5.

Approximately 70 ensembles will be featured, from high-performance sportswear and iconic movie costumes to avant-garde couture looks spanning the decades, all inspired by Catwoman, Wonder Woman, the X-Men, and more. Designers represented include everyone from Balenciaga, Armani, and Alexander McQueen to Jeremy Scott, Pierre Cardin, and Nike.

LA Fashion Week, Spring 2008: Jeremy Scott

Jeremy Scott is never one to shy away from bold and racy designs and his Spring 2008 collection was no exception. Though there was no ass-slapping between models like there has been in his past shows, there was lots of drama. Namely, all the female models walked out with large garbage can hats.

Backstage, watching them get ready before the show, I wondered why they had dirt-like makeup on their faces, legs and arms. Upon show time, it all came together: the concept was construction chic. Imagine Grace Kelly was a sewer employee, collected from the dirty work conditions and thrown onto a runway. She'd still be glamorous and gorgeous but with some dirt around the edges.

The silhouettes were nothing new but the prints were avant-garde and edgy. They included street signs, boot prints, pipes, rulers and tools. The inspirational aspect was that these tough prints were plastered on rather feminine dresses, blouses and skirts. The most unwearable piece was a black bubble tiered dress made of what looked like plastic; it rivaled the famous Lanvin silhouettes.

What was your inspiration for this show?
I was really inspired by construction workers, trash cans, back alleys, junkyards, road signs, work boots; all these brute, masculine images. All the things that are overlooked. I wanted to take all these elements and make something beautiful out of them.

Who would you say is the Jeremy Scott girl?
I would say that Cory Kennedy is the Jeremy Scott girl. She's definitely one of my muses. She keeps me on my toes.

What's a staple every woman should have in her wardrobe?
I great pair of high heels.

What are your favorite pieces from the collection?
It's like picking between babies! I like the boot stomp pieces a lot.

Let's talk about the beauty.
We took elements of Grace Kelly, the matte red lip and the hair. But then it's like she's been on a construction site.

What was your biggest struggle with this collection?
I can't really think of one. It's kind of like clockwork and connecting the dots. My advice would be to stick to what you believe and to follow your instinct.
