The lovely Jessica Biel was spotted by the paparazzi in New York City with newly lightened reddish-looking locks. I'm definitely curious to see her hair all done up because it's hard to tell just how much the sunshine is influencing this new hue. Jessica has proven that can pull of a trio of shades, even looking gorgeous as a brunette with chunky blonde highlights too. I have my opinion of my favourite shade, but I want to hear what yours is. Easy Virtue: Sparkling Cast Can't Help the Center Star

Easy Virtue, a film adaptation of Noel Coward's jazzy 1920s-set play, pits the old traditions of Europe's landowning gentry against the brash modernity that America had come to symbolize. The old guard is represented by a wealthy British family led by the brittle matriarch Mrs. Whittaker (Kristin Scott Thomas). When her son, John Whittaker (Ben Barnes), marries a sexy race car driver named Larita (Jessica Biel) several years his elder, the entire family is thrown into a tizzy.

Once Biel's character arrives at the Whittaker home she's meant to represent a vibrant and mesmerizing new way of doing things that is utterly offensive to this family so steeped in tradition. But alas, Ms. Biel doesn't quite have what it takes to hold down the center of a film like this and the whole endeavor suffers. To see why, read more.

The cast includes the kind of immensely talented actors who can take on the old-fashioned, quick and witty dialogue with one hand tied behind their backs. Biel tries to keep up and at times she succeeds, but most of the time she simply appears to be swimming upstream. As you might expect, Kristin Scott Thomas deliciously inhabits her icy character with ease and delivers each line as a stinging backhanded compliment. Colin Firth plays her long-suffering husband still hurting from memories of war, and delivers an incredibly funny yet soulful performance. Even Ben Barnes, who is handsome but stiff in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, displays pizzazz as the prodigal son returning home.

As the movie clicks along, though, more and more is asked of Biel as she navigates the cruel and ruthless landmines set out for her by her new mother-in-law and sisters-in-law, and she's not quite able to rise to the occasion. As the tone shifts in the final act from a comedy of manners to a darker drama, the talented ensemble cast does all it can to prop the movie up, but the center can't hold in the end.

Justin and the Timberlakes Appreciate Jessica's Virtue

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel looked like a Nike ad as they jogged along the water in NYC yesterday before JT got dressed up this morning. The couple is perfectly in sync these days with Jessica declaring her appreciation for Justin's controversial but hilarious SNL skits. Justin showed his reciprocal support by declining to take pictures with Jessica at the Easy Virtue afterparty because he didn't want to take any attention away from her. Justin's family also attended the actress's film screening, so it sounds like JT and Jessica are going strong after recent rumors of trouble.

Winners and Stars Spread Out the Afterparty Love

After the Oscars were all the afterparties, and while Vanity Fair and Elton John may have drawn the most star-studded crowds, there seemed to be a celebrity attendee at all of them. Hilary Duff swung by Leeza Gibbons's 1st Annual Night to Make a Difference where she was joined by Paris Hilton and Jessica Biel, who was out of her worst-dressed contending gown and into something more bright. Elsewhere in town Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth walked the red carpet at a party benefiting Children Uniting Nations.

The Slumdog Millionaire kids were still giddy from their best picture win, staying up way past their bedtimes for a party honoring their movie and The Wrestler. Freida Pinto danced the night away while Dev Patel kept an eye on his younger castmates. Mickey Rourke had other things to do on the big night, despite the fact that he was beaten out by his friend Sean Penn. The parties went on until the wee hours of the morning - it looks like no one wanted the night to end, especially the winners.

Jessica Talks Wrinkles And Whitesnake

Jessica Biel is the cover star of the Christmas issue of Marie Claire UK, and inside she opens up to the magazine about her fears for the future, acting, her lack of music knowledge, and much more. Jessica's also the star of Easy Virtue which is premiering at the London Film Festival - and YOU could win tickets to a special screening of it, so enter now! In the meantime, here's some extracts from Jessica's interview:

On posing for photographers: "It’s taken a few years to feel comfortable doing that sort of stuff. Even now I still feel sort of ridiculous."
On music:"I like all that fun music, lots of old-school stuff and yes, some Whitesnake. Absolutely."
On her recent interest in popular music: "I was sick and tired of not knowing who people were talking about."
On becoming a movie star: "I never thought to myself, 'I’m going to do this musical, then I’m going to be a movie star' I never made that jump. For a very long time I wasn’t thought of as anyone with any credibility in the film world. Everyone is tramping through the swamp everyday in this business."

On working in TV: "I was really uptight, when you work on television for a long time you’re in a really organised situation; in film, it’s so much more improvisational and relaxed."
On being in the film The Illusionist: "I was so thrilled to get that part, it was such a joy for me, oh it was great."
On asked how she feels about aging: "I don’t know - I better start figuring it out. I feel my knees changing - like, why do I have this pain when I’m running on the treadmill? What’s going on with my lower back when I wake up in the morning? I just feel changes.... I’m definitely fearful in a very vain manner about aging. I think its freaky weird to look at a picture of your grandmother when she was a young woman then look at her now."
On plastic surgery: "I’m really afraid of blades on my face. That freaks me out beyond belief. I would way rather have wrinkles than some slice up going on."
On her high profile status: "It’s hard. The hardest part of this whole wonderful, bizarre lifestyle and profession. You have to be Zen about it, because it can make you crazy."
On marriage and having kids: "I kind of go back and forth about marriage and kids. I feel like if it’s an organic way for me and the right time in my life then, yeah. If it’s right, it’ll be right – but at this moment, that seems totally foreign... I have so many friends having babies and getting married and they just want to put me where they are so we can go to nursery together and stuff. I’m like 'Noooo!' I’m resisting!"

Thankfully Matt Damon ditched the hideous mustache to accept his Spike TV Guy of the Year Award. His character Jason Bourne also won for Biggest Ass Kicker. It's the second time the network has had the Guy Choice Awards which included categories such as The Hotter Eva (Mendes won), Decade of Hotness (Cameron Diaz), Hottest Girl on the Planet (Jessica Biel, really?), The Next Big Thing (Megan Fox) and Luckiest Bastard (Brian Austin Green). While the show is still new, it drew big names such as Matt, Cameron, Harrison Ford, Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Adam Sandler. It doesn't air until June 22nd but you can enjoy tons of pics here now.

Colin Joins Jessica and Ben to Show London Their Easy Virtue

Following their appearance at the Rome Film Festival, Jessica Biel and Ben Barnes were joined by Colin Firth and their other costars Kris Marshall, Charlotte Riley and Kimberley Nixon for the gala screening of Easy Virtue at the London Film Festival last night. Director Stephan Elliot even brought the chihuahua along for the ride! As well as appearing on our screens from 7 November, Jessica is currently on our newsstands too on the cover of Marie Claire, where she says she feels "sort of ridiculous" posing for photographers. Looks like you've got the smile perfected to me, Jess. My girl Bella UK wants to know what you think of her makeup look: do you love it or hate it?

Jessica and Ben are Easily Elegant in Rome

Jessica Biel walked the red carpet in Rome with costar Ben Barnes yesterday, ahead of their appearance on our shores this evening for the UK premiere of Easy Virtue at the London Film Festival. The pair also joined the director of the film for a press conference earlier in the day, with Jess showing us how to do smart chic as well as gorgeous glamour. As there was no sign of her usual companion when in Rome, Justin Timberlake, I'm not holding my breath that he'll be visiting us either, but Ben will surely bring his manjoyment factor to London. Fingers crossed for Colin Firth too!
