There has been a retro feel on the set of Gossip Girl recently. The cast and crew are currently working hard on the third series but my girl PopSugar UK has been providing us with sneak previews of the action happening in the Big Apple. Hilary Duff has joined the show and got in to the '20s revival. I noticed that both Hilary and Taylor Momsen have been spotted in layered necklaces which is sure to spark a comeback. On Our Radar: Daisy Lowe Launches Jewellery Line

Do you remember back in 2007 when everyone was releasing clothing lines? There was Lily Allen for New Look, Kate Moss for Topshop, Madonna for H&M... Well, now the trend has developed as instead of full collections it seems that celebrities are opting for just jewellery. Lily Allen already unveiled her collection and yesterday it was announced that Daisy Lowe would be following suit.

Daisy is collaborating with Swarovski for the small capsule collection that is expected to launch in January. Daisy explained to W Magazine,

"It’s four pieces – a necklace, bracelet, ring and set of earrings. They’re kind of magical in a dark, romantic way. I’ve incorporated black and white, star and moon crystals and multiple strands of chains. I wanted it to be about the earth, moon and planetary movements, all that kind of weird stuff."

The idea of a clothing line isn't completely out of the question either. "I’m so in love with fashion and playing with clothes, so I would never say no [to designing fashion.]" Her Mother, Pearl Lowe, has just completed a line for Peacocks which Daisy is the face of and she thinks it would be "really fun" if they could create something together. Sneak Preview of Lily Allen's Jewellery Line

Last week, Lily Allen began revealing details about her jewellery line which most of you are excited about, and today she launched it at Claridges. The singer has become synonymous with playful, gold jewellery which she is rarely seen without, so it makes sense for her to venture in to design. She created a line of dresses for New Look in 2007, but this is the first time she's ventured in to accessories. As promised, the pieces feature quirky animal pendants (including a panda influenced by a photoshoot) and some of the collection was inspired by her tattoos. Fab Blab: Lily Allen on her Jewellery Line

Cast your mind back to May when I asked you if you'd be interested in a Lily Allen jewellery line. Well, two months down the line and it seems that there is some truth to the rumours as her venture in to accessories design is confirmed! Lily has been speaking to Vogue about the range which she seems excited about.

"I love jewellery, always have done. I feel that it completes an outfit. You can change your whole look just by changing which jewellery you choose to go with what you're wearing," she explained. The collection will consist of nine different ranges featuring unique themes. She will combine the unusual (road signs, acid faces and poodles) with more classic elements such as flowers, medallions and coins for the pieces which are inspired by Chanel (naturally) and Dinny Hall.

Lily added, "I'm really pleased with all of the designs, we worked hard on getting them exactly how we wanted them from choosing the right chain length and thickness to deciding what should be in gold and what looks better in silver. I do love the animals though – the pandas are fantastic." The range is due to be released in September with images released soon.

Do You Wear Jewellery When You Play Sport?

Perhaps it was all of Serena Williams's good luck charms that won her a third Wimbledon title! On Saturday, the 27 year old played on centre court wearing a large diamond heart pendant, hooped earrings and a bracelet.

Whilst her all-white ensemble was tennis apropos, the jewellery wasn't something that I expected to see. I would think all of that clanging would be distracting, plus it could cause an injury if you were to fall.

At least she looked good, and it has me wondering if her baubles are from her own Serena Williams Fashion Jewellery for HSN collection. Tell me; do you wear jewellery when you play sport?

Glitterati: Gold Starfish Necklace

If you can't spend the whole Summer on the beach then Emilie Hagen's jewellery might help you along the way. The designer has created a cute starfish necklace that is sure to get you in Summer mood. Hagen usually creates long necklaces with nature themed pendants including leaves and sea creatures and this season there is a golden starfish (£108) in the collection.

A Few Fab Words With Alayna Salter

If you haven't heard of Alayna Salter yet, you'll soon be hearing her name everywhere. The Oxford born singer has been likened to Avril Lavigne, and has many strings to her bow. She is still working hard to break in to the world of music, but is also a budding jewellery designer whose pieces have been already been snapped up by Katy Perry, Paris Hilton, Heidi Range, and Gabriella Cilmi. I caught up with her to find out about her jewellery, her style icons and her favourite sweets!

What inspired you to start creating jewellery? I've always loved fashion and I started designing outfits and jewellery to wear on stage at my gigs, people started asking me if they could buy the jewellery and Punky Allsorts was born!

Why did you chose to make it from sweets? The jewellery isnt actually made from sweets, some of the designs and colours are inspired by my favourite sweets though!

Which are your favourite sweets? I am more of a fizzy cola bottle girl!

Who were you most excited to see wearing your pieces? It's always exciting to hear about stylish young women loving the brand, Lady Gaga's outfits are mad, so it's great she's been spotted in my designs.

How do you balance being a singer/songwriter with creating jewellery? Well music and fashion go hand in hand for me so I feel privileged to be able to do both and I'm lucky to have people to run Punky Allsorts whilst I focus on my album. What’s exciting is I am featured on the brand new Sony compilation called She Rocks out next month and so people can enjoy my music alongside Britney and Girls Aloud, which is a huge honour for me!

Who are you style icons? I love cartoon Glamour - so Betty Boop mixed with Marilyn Monroe!

How would you define your style? Eclectic- it changes on a daily basis, I get bored easily so I try to look different everyday. My style is quite girlie and playful.

What one item could you not live without? I adore eyeliner, I feel naked without it!

Where are your favourite places to shop? I think Topshop is a fab highstreet store, I also love Betsy Johnson as its so me and Vivienne Westwood 'cause she's so bold.

Glitterati: House of Harlow

Pregnant Nicole Richie starred in the look book for her jewellery line House of Harlow. The brand is named after her first child and have been popular on both sides of the Atlantic. The pieces have now arrived at Mywardrobe making it easy for you to copy Nicole's bohemian style.

I am a big fan of the Aztec bangles (£75) which look great alone or piled up – for a more affordable alternative you could mix them up with a cheaper selection. The great thing about this celebrity range is that they really are made in Nicole's style and she wears the pieces all the time.

The earrings are great too and very easy to wear. I particularly like the plated medallion earrings (£46) which would make a great gift! What do you think of the House of Harlow range?
