When you have a parenting movie set in New York, you should know better than to expect a warm-'n'-fuzzy story about the joys of having kids. In fact, Motherhood is out to prove that mothers have it rough.
The film follows Eliza Welsh (Uma Thurman), a Manhattan writer dealing with a cramped apartment, busy husband, and side-street parking while raising her two kids.

The Beaver, a dark comedy about a depressed man "who finds solace in wearing a beaver hand-puppet," has been in the works for a long time now, with Steve Carell originally attached to play the lead role. At some point, Jim Carrey was rumored to be taking over the role, but now it's official: neither of these men will star in The Beaver — Mel Gibson will play the lead instead.
Jodie Foster will direct Gibson in the comedy, and she may also play the man's wife.

Jennifer Aniston looked stunning in silver at the Women In Film 2009 Crystal And Lucy Awards in LA on Friday. Chelsea Handler sneaked in a joke about John Mayer as she presented Jennifer with the Crystal Award for Excellence in Film. Aniston responded by making fun of her own love life saying, "I have a strange parallel with movies I was doing and my life off screen.

The inspiration for Peter Jensen for Spring 2009 wasn't exactly a secret. The show was titled 'Jodie' and the collection contained many references to Jodie Foster's onscreen '80s style. If there's one movie I'm anticipating the most at the moment it's Tropic Thunder, and the male stars were out in force for last night's LA premiere. The movie promises Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr, Steve Coogan and a career-reviving cameo from Tom Cruise – so, basically, I'm in. There were some great manly bonding moments at the premiere, with Tobey Maguire and Robert greeting each other, Robert nuzzling Ben's shoulder, Jack getting close to Nigel Lythgoe(?!) and The Office co-stars Ed Helms and John Krasinski showed up on a Bromantic date.

Last night in Rome at the premiere of her new movie Nim's Island, Jodie Foster sported a darker-than-usual hair color. I'm not sure about you, but I've always pictured this Oscar-winning actress as a blonde. However, after looking at photos of her over last decade, I've learned that she has regularly switched from blonde to brunette.

Gerard Butler redeemed himself in the hotness department on Sunday at the LA premiere of Nim's Island. Of course, it didn't hurt that he was accompanied by two lovely ladies fresh off the Kids' Choice Awards orange carpet: Abigail Breslin and Jodie Foster. As a former child actor herself, Jodie Foster has nothing but praise for her eleven-year-old co-star, saying, "Abigail doesn't need my advice.
