We Talk to Matt and Josh While the People Speak

Matt Damon and Josh Brolin stepped out last night for the NYC premiere of The People Speak. The program, which features celebrities reading important documents from America's past, will debut on the History Channel Dec. 13. Both Matt and Josh are producers of the project that features Danny Glover, and John Krasinski made a late, low-key entrance to pose for photos before heading inside. Emily Blunt was there for the afterparty, lending her support to both her fiance John and her The Adjustment Bureau costar Matt. We had a chance to chat with Josh, who said working with Matt is easy and fun - and they're also set to star together in an upcoming Coen brothers film. Matt, meanwhile, said history is a big hit with his girls at home, though his youngest two daughters are still a little too small to show much interest just yet.

Emily Blunt Films With Matt and Poses With John

Emily Blunt joined Matt Damon Monday for a long afternoon on the NYC set of The Adjustment Bureau. After working on a few scenes, they took a quick lunch break before heading home afterward in the dark. Emily had another late night yesterday, when she joined fiance John Krasinski for a premiere of The Red Shoes. We've been pondering what it would be like if John's The Office met Mad Men, but he was all about posing and smiling with Emily as they checked out the movie alongside newly announced Oscar host Alec Baldwin.

Katie and the Women of Hollywood Celebrate With Elle

The Elle Women in Hollywood Awards brought out some of the town's biggest names last night. The ceremony was held to coincide with the magazine's similarly themed upcoming issue, and cover girl Katie Holmes hit the cream carpet to show her support. Apparently Suri helped Katie select her all-black outfit, and the proud mom even opened up about their adventures in Boston. Katie commented that, "She loves clothes and picks out her own. . . . She loves running and she loves dancing." Cat Deeley and Robin Wright also opted for dark dresses, while Renee Zellweger, Diane Kruger, and Emily Blunt lightened things up a bit.

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski made another appearance together after their weekend trip to the Mill Valley Film Festival, as the happy engaged couple gets more comfortable stepping out side by side. She said a few words onstage before posing for photos with the evening's host, Alec Baldwin. Renee Zellweger flashed a big smile, perhaps due to her romantic few days in Vancouver with Bradley Cooper. Robin Wright mingled with Benicio del Toro, as the ladies got together to enjoy fun company and champagne.

Elle Pays Tribute to Cover Star Women in Hollywood

Elle magazine hosted its annual Women in Hollywood Tribute at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills last night, and gorgeous British women rubbed shoulders with their American counterparts. Cat Deeley kept it classic in an LBD and L'Oreal Paris Legend Award recipient Julie Andrews was elegant in her black floor-length frock. All five November cover stars were in attendance, with Renee Zellweger dazzling in bright red, Emily Blunt cute in a nude number and Katie Holmes daring in a sheer black outfit alongside fellow cover stars Julianne Moore and Zoe Saldana. John Krasinski joined his fiancée to her celebrate, and Emily told Elle:

"I feel the fear of the business creep under my skin in L.A. in a way that it doesn’t in England. It’s funny – I feel like beauty is in the eye of the beholder, unless you’re in Hollywood! It’s shameful how you have to look a certain way. Women are simply not allowed to grow old gracefully. That’s why I love playing character parts, because I’m not pigeonholed into trying to remain young forever to play the ingénue or romantic lead."

Is the Jim and Pam Wedding Episode Overhyped?

The big moment we've all been waiting for is just about here: Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly will finally be married in an hour-long special episode of The Office tonight!

NBC (and the entertainment world in general) has gone all-out for the event, including an EW cover, video teasers, talk show appearances, even their own wedding site.

I can't wait to finally see Pam and Jim tie the knot, but you'd almost think we were being prepped for the series finale given all the promotion. What do you think - are you more excited than ever or is there too much buildup to Jim and Pam's big day?

When The Office's John Krasinski gushed at the Emmys about his recent engagement to Emily Blunt, he added support to the age-old dating adage: you'll just know when you've met the person you want to spend the rest of your life with.

John said:

"So many people say, 'You know when you know,' and it's true. It's all true."

Gorgeous Gals and Guys Walk the Emmy Awards Red Carpet

Stars of the small screen flocked to the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles yesterday for the Primetime Emmy Awards. Our own Brits Cat Deeley and Ricky Gervais joined their American pals for the glamourous ceremony, which saw the guys stick to black suits and the women dazzle in an array of colouful dresses. Cat went for a pale floor-length number, while Gossip Girl buddies Leighton Meester and Blake Lively took opposite approaches with white and red. Heidi Klum showed off her baby bump in a tight black dress, while Drew Barrymore opted for a fairytale-style gown. Vote on all the fashion choices and beauty looks in Fab and Bella's polls.

A whole host of men wore smart suits for the ceremony, with Ricky Gervais keeping his eyes shielded on the red carpet with sunnies. Host Neil Patrick Harris, John Krasinski and Justin Timberlake all looked gorgeous in their shirts and ties. Movie Preview: Krasinski's Brief Interviews With Hideous Men

John Krasinski picked a pretty juicy project for his directorial debut: David Foster Wallace's Brief Interviews With Hideous Men. The film has made the festival circuit and garnered mostly so-so reviews. In fact, I read some pretty negative reviews a while ago and got it into my mind that this wouldn't be an appealing movie. But now that there's a trailer, it doesn't look too bad at all.

Krasinski also stars in the movie which follows Sara Quinn (Julianne Nicholson), a doctoral candidate in anthropology whose sudden breakup with her boyfriend motivates her to interview a variety of men in an attempt to better understand their secret thoughts and desires.

Maybe I think it looks OK simply because I expected so little of this film, but I'll probably see it. What do you think? To take a look at the trailer, read more.
