And then there were three. Back in May I asked you all who you would choose to play Frank Sinatra in the upcoming biopic, and Martin Scorsese reportedly has narrowed it down to Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, and George Clooney. Apparently Scorsese's first choice is his muse DiCaprio, while Universal Pictures would like to see Depp in the role.

In what can only be described as a match made in Hollywood heaven, Johnny Depp may be Angelina Jolie's next leading man. The actor is in talks to star opposite Jolie in The Tourist, a film that Jolie snatched up when Charlize Theron left it behind. Depp would play the American tourist, a role that Sam Worthington was originally slated for.

When Heath Ledger tragically died last year, he left one movie unfinished, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Terry Gilliam's project was filming at the time, and its future was uncertain, but Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell stepped in to cover the remainder of Heath's character's part in the movie and ensure that his final work could be released. It will be out in UK cinemas on October 16 so check out the trailer and let me know what you think — will you see it or skip it?

The MTV Movie Awards took place on Sunday night in Los Angeles, with a massive cavalcade of stars taking to the stage and watching the action from the stalls. Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr and Ben Stiller are my new favourite triple act, as they fooled around outside and onstage promoting Tropic Thunder. Also, how dapper is Seth Rogen looking?

Here's a movie I am definitely looking forward to — Johnny Depp teams up with Christian Bale for Public Enemies, released in the UK on July 3. Delicious Johnny plays legendary 1930s bank robber John Dillenger, Christian costars as the FBI's top agent Melvin Purvis, and Marion Cotillard, Channing Tatum and Billy Crudup also feature in the star studded film from director Michael Mann. Check out the trailer and tell me — will you see it, or will you skip it?

We spent two hours watching movie plug after movie plug at the MTV Movie Awards last night, and while the show had some funny shining moments, we still missed the spoofs. We actually expected a lot more Love Guru so I was thrilled to see the return of Wayne and Garth instead (yay for Dana Carvey!). The stars of the night were Johnny Depp who proved his acting range as he humbly racked up awards for Best Villain and Best Comedic Performance, and the Tropic Thunder boys who got their laughs with funny banter and Iron Man idolization.

Russell Brand is apparently in negotiations to play the younger brother of Captain Jack (aka Johnny Depp) in the fourth Pirates Of The Caribbean movie! Reports today suggest he could earn up to £5million for the role, and even if this is a nice fluffy bit of publicity for Russell after his recent mishaps I have to say I think it would be a lot of fun. I loved his turn in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and I think the craziness of Captain Jack and Captain Jonathan would be rather amusing.

Leonardo DiCaprio hit up the movies with friends in LA on Sunday before returning to set with Ellen Page yesterday. Leo's next few months will involve wrapping up Inception and gearing up to promote Shutter Island early next year, but there's already talks of his next big project. Leo is rumored to be up against George Clooney and Johnny Depp to play Frank Sinatra in Martin Scorsese's upcoming biopic based on the life of the Rat Pack crooner.

The teaser trailer for Tim Burton's reimagining of Alice In Wonderland was released this week, starring Johnny Depp looking almost unrecognisable as the Mad Hatter. The film isn't going to be released until March 12 2010 in the UK, but I'd love to see what you think of the trailer, so check it out and let me know!

Los Angeles played host to the Spike TV Scream Awards last night, attracting a cavalcade of stars from those movies and TV shows that deal with all things supernatural. Taylor Lautner attended to pick up the Breakthrough Performance award for his role as Jacob Black, while unfortunately his costar Robert Pattinson couldn't attend to pick up the Best Fantasy Actor award. Megan Fox picked up the Best Sci-Fi Actress award, while True Blood's Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin — who are a couple on and off screen — won Best Horror Actor and Actress awards respectively.
