Would You Like To See Russell Pirate It Up With Johnny?!

Russell Brand is apparently in negotiations to play the younger brother of Captain Jack (aka Johnny Depp) in the fourth Pirates Of The Caribbean movie! Reports today suggest he could earn up to £5million for the role, and even if this is a nice fluffy bit of publicity for Russell after his recent mishaps I have to say I think it would be a lot of fun. I loved his turn in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and I think the craziness of Captain Jack and Captain Jonathan would be rather amusing. But what do you think? Should Russell be hired to play Pirates with Johnny?

Buzz In: Who Should Take Johnny Depp's Place in the Pirates Franchise?

Rumors have been swirling for the past week or so that Johnny Depp isn't as excited about Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides now that former head honcho Dick Cook has left Disney studios. Depp is still attached to the project for now, but supposedly Disney is already preparing to search for his replacement if necessary.

The character wouldn't be recast, but the new challenge will be finding an actor and fictional pirate worthy of Depp's Jack Sparrow. It's hard to even imagine someone else with the same mix of swagger and comedic timing, but hey - if Depp could create one memorable pirate, who's to say that another brilliant actor can't follow suit?

I could see Robert Downey Jr. as a pretty badass raider, and no doubt he'd have fun with the role. Who do you think should take Depp's place?

Johnny Depp kept rockin those blue shades as he jetted from Disneyland to Japan to promote Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. It hasn't been quite the Spider-man 3 world tour - especially without Keira - but this latest installment will still most likely be huge at the box office. Even so, Johnny is still overshadowed in the eyes of two very important critics - his kids Lily Rose and Jack. He said, "I'd get in and say (in Jack Sparrow voice) 'All right kids, everything all right?' And they'd say, 'Dad, come on, I'm watching Spider-Man.' "Oh man, Spider-Man. My boy has gone into that full-on superhero phase. But I refuse to wear the tights."

Most kids would kill to have a pirate for a father, but it's pretty sweet that Johnny's kids are unimpressed. Looks like Johnny will just have to settle for being adored by millions of women worldwide instead.

Orlando & Johnny Arrrrrrrre Hot at Pirates

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (seriously though, could that title be longer? Is there a shorter version we can use?) had its big Disneyland premiere this weekend -- and how cute do the boys look? Orlando is decidedly adorable and huggable while Johnny can wear whatever sunglasses he pleases and still do no wrong. Meanwhile, Keira couldn't make the time? I know she's filming her movie with Sienna, but it's a very obvious no-show. Pirates doesn't come out in the theatres until next weekend, but while you're waiting check out some clips here. Arrrrrrr.

Orlando and Johnny Are Boys Of Summer!

The amount of manjoyment this week is overwhelming! While the Ocean's boys are all over Cannes, the Pirates men are premiering around the world. All this inspired Buzz to write up their top 10 Men of Summer. Check it out here. As you may have guessed it, Orlando and Johnny made the list. The real life versions are much better looking than Madame Tussauds wax replicas in Las Vegas but we can understand why they wanted to create the life size versions of these fabulous men.

Orlando Bloom grabbed a bite to eat in LA yesterday while Miranda Kerr posed with Heidi Klum and the rest of the VS Angels before they all hit the runway together last night. Orlando may have missed out on his girlfriend's lingerie walk, but he's lucky enough to see her all the time. In fact, she's reportedly part of the reason he won't be back for the fourth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean. Costar Johnny Depp is wrapping up an exciting week after being named People's Sexiest Man Alive the actor's been offered a record breaking paycheck upward of $30 million dollars if he chooses to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow.

Jolie + Depp = Hottest On-Screen Couple Ever?

In what can only be described as a match made in Hollywood heaven, Johnny Depp may be Angelina Jolie's next leading man. The actor is in talks to star opposite Jolie in The Tourist, a film that Jolie snatched up when Charlize Theron left it behind. Depp would play the American tourist, a role that Sam Worthington was originally slated for.

The film's had a lot of big names attached to it already (including Tom Cruise, in addition to Theron and Worthington), so I'm trying not to get my hopes too high for this one. But Jolie and Depp together on the big screen could be legendary, and not just because they're both smokin' hot. While I think they'd have some seriously good chemistry, I'd also love to see the talented actors go head to head on the big screen.

Of course, if Depp signs on, it could be a nail in the coffin for Pirates of the Caribbean 4, but how do you feel about this news?

Johnny Depp May No Longer Answer to Captain Jack Sparrow

Johnny Depp donned multiple layers while on the set of a music video for the band Babybird in Herts, UK, on Tuesday. He was working alongside the lead singer Stephen Jones and Johnny's Public Enemies costar Stephen Graham. Next up for Johnny was supposed to be a fourth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean, but after Disney studio chief Dick Cook resigned last week, Johnny said he was losing enthusiasm in doing the movie. Orlando Bloom has already reportedly passed on the project, so it sounds like they might be looking for some new manjoyable actors to try on the iconic pirate gear.
