Johnny Depp was surrounded by fans last night as he left the Tim Burton event at the MoMA in NYC. He headed off to toast Tim further with friends at a bar, but it's Johnny who's celebrating today due to his Sexiest Man Alive win. Johnny is one of Hollywood's classic hotties, but there are lots of other manjoyable men running around who also might deserve the title. We certainly couldn't have predicted that Johnny would take top honors, so tell us - are you surprised that he's 2009's Sexiest Man Alive?

People magazine came out with its annual issue of the hottest guys in Hollywood, and leading the pack is this year's Sexiest Man Alive - Johnny Depp! He spent last night toasting his great friend Tim Burton at a MoMA benefit, but today all eyes are on Johnny due to his latest accolade. This marks the second time Johnny takes home the title, though he shares the distinction with a few other guys. Tim Burton was the man of the hour at the MoMA exhibit paying tribute to his amazing work and imagination in NYC yesterday. He had Helena Bonham Carter on one arm and his good friend Johnny Depp on the other as stars came out to celebrate Tim. With fans already excited for Alice in Wonderland, Tim's art lined the walls at the museum. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were among the attendees as was Ashley Greene who looked refreshed in an LBD despite a long week of New Moon promotion including Monday's big premiere. She looked amazing as usual - check out how to get her makeup look here - and made us smile on the red carpet with her adorable personality. Overall, Tim's big night at the MoMA lived up to his eccentric personality and amazing talent with an exhibit that his fans can now enjoy.

The work of Tim Burton is being celebrated at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in a brand new exhibition that launched last night, and a selection of stars turned out to take a look at the collection. Tim Burton and his wife Helena Bonham Carter attended and posed for photos with Tim's buddy Johnny Depp, who was looking gorgeous as always! His sexiness has been verified by People magazine who have named him sexiest man alive! Do you agree? New Moon's Ashley Greene took a night off from promotion and checked out the exhibition, as did Rose Byrne who was also dressed in black. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen also attended the event, wearing big coats and carrying matching bags - check out the colourful streaks in Ashley's hair! Johnny Depp Steps Out to Appreciate Art

Johnny Depp has been laying low as usual recently, but he smiled and posed at Frank Pictures Gallery where the work of artists Kellisimone Waits and Tiffany Trenda was being shown in Santa Monica on Sunday. Kellisimone's father, Tom Waits, is a friend of Johnny's and a costar in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Johnny hit the stage to accept an award and hand one out to Keith Richards at last month's Scream Awards, but otherwise Depp's been hard at work on a handful of movies including the anticipated Alice in Wonderland - check out the awesome new poster for it here! He's also rumored to be taking on a new role in The Tourist that comes with a sexy costar, Angelina Jolie. No matter what Johnny's up to, he always keeps it interesting from his movie choices to his signature style.

Jolie + Depp = Hottest On-Screen Couple Ever?

In what can only be described as a match made in Hollywood heaven, Johnny Depp may be Angelina Jolie's next leading man. The actor is in talks to star opposite Jolie in The Tourist, a film that Jolie snatched up when Charlize Theron left it behind. Depp would play the American tourist, a role that Sam Worthington was originally slated for.

The film's had a lot of big names attached to it already (including Tom Cruise, in addition to Theron and Worthington), so I'm trying not to get my hopes too high for this one. But Jolie and Depp together on the big screen could be legendary, and not just because they're both smokin' hot. While I think they'd have some seriously good chemistry, I'd also love to see the talented actors go head to head on the big screen.

Of course, if Depp signs on, it could be a nail in the coffin for Pirates of the Caribbean 4, but how do you feel about this news?

Who Should Play Frank Sinatra in Martin Scorsese's Biopic?

And then there were three. Back in May I asked you all who you would choose to play Frank Sinatra in the upcoming biopic, and Martin Scorsese reportedly has narrowed it down to Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, and George Clooney. Apparently Scorsese's first choice is his muse DiCaprio, while Universal Pictures would like to see Depp in the role.

As for Clooney - he's the top pick for Tina Sinatra, who would like the movie to focus more on the more charming side of her father's personality rather than the more gritty aspects of his life. Rest assured that whoever snags the role won't have to sing - the music will feature Sinatra's original voice. So between these three guys, tell me - who should play Frank Sinatra in Martin Scorsese's biopic?
