Jamie Oliver Welcomes Third Daughter

Jamie and Jools Oliver welcomed their third daughter in the early hours of this morning. Petal Blossom Rainbow joins big sisters Daisy Boo and Poppy Honey.

Their spokesman said:

"Jamie and Jools Oliver are delighted to announce the arrival of Petal Blossom Rainbow this morning at 2.46am. Petal was born at the Portland Hospital in Central London, weighed in at 6lb 10oz and both she and Jools are doing well. The Olivers would like to thank midwives Linda Ordish and Elaine Porter and also obstetrician William Dennis for their wonderful help and support... Jamie and Jools are both completely smitten with Petal already and Jamie is looking forward to two weeks paternity leave to spend quality time with his four beautiful girls."

Jools was due on Wednesday, but fortunately she was late so Jamie could be by her side. He was at Downing Street on her due date, cooking for the G20 leaders. Jamie spoke with Ryan Seacrest yesterday during the American Idol host's breakfast radio show in LA, and said:

"We’re talking about the most stressful 46 hours of my life I think. My wife was due yesterday - actually on the day that we did the big dinner for Barack and the other 20 leaders of the world - but luckily it didn’t happen yesterday. But she’s got high blood pressure so she’s being induced as we speak."

Owen And Jennifer Bring Marley To The UK

Owen Wilson and Elle cover star Jennifer Aniston are in town to promote their new movie Marley and Me, which had its UK premiere last night in London's West End. The family movie comes out on March 13, and a bunch of UK stars showed up to pose on the red carpet and check out the film. Skins stars Kaya Scodelario and Ollie Barbieri looked cute and casual as they posed for photos, and Jools Oliver, Leon Jackson, Roxanne Pallet, Danielle Lloyd, Gemma Atkinson and Sinitta also smiled for the cameras before they went in to see the pet-themed romantic comedy. So, will you be going to see Marley and Me this March?

Jamie Oliver and wife Jools looked cute in his and hers checked shirts outside their Primrose Hill home yesterday. The chef's has some bad news this week, as it's been revealed healthy school dinners are being shunned by pupils, but his bank balance remains pretty healthy. Although his 40 branded kitchenware products have a sales value of £7.5million per year compared to Anthony Worrall Thomspson's whopping £60million, the bulk of Jamie's fortune comes from his restaurants, TV work, and advertising deal with Sainsbury’s. With the recent launch of his new chain of trattorias, that fortune's set to rise further. No wonder Jamie and Jools are smiling.

Tuesday Night Is London's Party Night!

A whole host of famous faces descended on the clubs of London last night, as Pigalle and Funky Buddha welcomed sportsmen, an It Girl, reality TV contestants, models, singers and a drag queen. The lovely Jools and Jamie Oliver looked happy and sophisticated, while Myleene Klass winked and smiled after a busy few days hosting the Classical Brit Awards nominations and celebrating her 30th. It was only a matter of time until Big Brother alumni Chantelle and Chanelle buddied up, but I was totally surprised to see Nikki Grahame with Caprice - huh? And it wouldn't be a celeb night out with a shiner on display - Calum Best did the honours with his big black eye.

Jamie Cooks For the Obamas, Browns, JK and Naomi

The G20 leaders, including Gordon Brown and Barack Obama, gathered for a reception hosted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace yesterday before heading to 10 Downing Street for a meal prepared by Jamie Oliver. Michelle Obama, in another great outfit from her warbrobe, dined with Sarah Brown at No. 11 with the other partners and British stars including JK Rowling, Naomi Campbell and athletes Kelly Holmes and Tanni-Grey Thompson. Jamie, whose menu included salmon from Shetland, lamb from north Wales, and a Bakewell tart and custard, said: "I'm very, very proud of my country and its food traditions and I know that the guests at Downing Street will be in for a real treat." His wife Jools was due to give birth yesterday, but fortunately she didn't go into labour so Jamie didn't have to rush from the banquet to her side.

Jamie Oliver to Launch "Jamie Magazine"

Jamie Oliver, UK celebrity chef and gastrosexual, has announced the launch of his own bimonthly glossy, which will hit shelves this Thursday. The cooking star promises that his publication, aptly titled Jamie Magazine, won't be "yet another cooking mag," but will offer readers a "more personal relationship" with the man who is Jamie Oliver. According to editor Andy Harris, the magazine should make readers feel as if they are "being invited round to Jamie's house." So how does Oliver plan to do this? To find out, read more. He's employed the help of his wife, Jools, who will pen a regular column. Oliver will also take some of the magazine's photos, and the premiere issue will feature a question-and-answer session between Jamie and his pal Brad Pitt, who admits that the best meal Angelina Jolie's ever produced in their kitchen is "cereals." The first three issues will be exclusively sold at WH Smith newsstands.

Considering the number of print publications that have succumbed to declining circulation over the past year, it only makes sense that the chef funded the magazine himself, to the tune of £250,000.

While Oliver does have an incredibly enthusiastic female following, I think he's making a rather risky decision to launch a food and entertaining magazine during a tumbling global economy, especially when the food magazine market is saturated and others - such as the Food Network and Sandra Lee - have already announced their new publications.
