Nicole and Alexa Are In Fashion At CFDA & Vogue Awards

Nicole Kidman was out in New York last night at the CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund Awards in New York. She wore a long white dress to the stylish event, which probably would not have stayed so clean if her gorgeous 16 month old daughter Sunday Rose was with her! Model Jessica Stam also wore a long white dress and hung out with Karen Elson and Jessica Szohr at the event - no New York night is complete without a Gossip Girl castmember or two!

Jessica's boyfriend Ed Westwick also attended, and looked rather understated next to Mark Ronson's statement suit - while Ed's character Chuck Bass is known for his eccentric attire, I don't think that's even something he would go for! Fellow Brit Alexa Chung looked fab as usual in her red dress and matching lipstick - love her look!

Red Carpet Style at the CFDA 2009

Last night the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund awards dinner took place bringing together some very stylish faces and models. The prestigious prize was scooped by Sophie Theallet. Alber Elbaz presented the award to her which included $200,000 and a one-year mentorship with fashion professionals. Click through to see who attended the event.

Fab Ad: Roberto Cavalli, Fall '09

Roberto Cavalli's Fall ad campaign is a scene we're all too familiar with: paparazzi shots inside nightclubs. Models Isabeli Fontana (a Cavalli favorite; she was in this Fall '09 campaign, too) and Karen Elson reenact today's celeb craze inside the El Morocco nightclub in NYC. Photographer Steven Meisel, whose first time it was working with the designer, was there document the chaos. The guy in the back is clearly choosing to stay out of the altercation, but Isabeli takes matters into her own hands by splashing alcohol at the pesky photogs. And Karen looks like she's about to cause some damage as well. What do you make of all this?

The Met's Costume Institute Gala: The Models

Last night's theme at the 2009 Costume Institute Gala was "The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion," an exploration of how models have inspired and projected fashions throughout recent years. Of course, my coverage of this event would not be complete without a gallery of models who walked the red carpet. (Here's why some big names didn't show up). The Met's Costume Institute Gala: British Beauties

Last night was one of the biggest nights in fashion as many of the A-list hit the red carpet in New York to attend the opening of 'The Model as a Muse' exhibition at the Met. Despite several names pulling out (including Naomi Campbell owing to her allegiance to Alaia) there were still plenty of glamorous Brits at the event including hosts Kate Moss and Anna Wintour. Here are the ladies flying the flag for Blighty in New York.

Fab Ad: Karen Elson for Agent Provocateur

This week Karen Elson joins a growing club of Agent Provocateur ad campaign stars. She follows in the footsteps of Kate Moss, Daisy Lowe and Helena Christensen who have all previously posed in their smalls for the lingerie brand. Karen poses with wild crimped hair in the fairytale scene with two other girls and a fallen man. The Summer campaign is titled "Ulysses and the Call of the Sirens" which is the Greek myth in which a trio of women seduce the hero with song. What do you think of the ad?

Fab Ad: Celine Spring '09

While we eagerly anticipate Phoebe Philo's debut Celine collection, let's take a gander at Ivana Omazic's last hurrah. For Celine's Spring '09 campaign, the designer chose redhead beauty Karen Elson to show off her selection of luxuriously colorful handbags, frocks, and chic outerwear. I like how photographer Bruce Weber contrasted Karen's red hot locks against the stark background. However, I find myself staring at Karen more than the clothes and bags. Nonetheless, it's beautiful. What do you think?

Love it or Hate it: Karen Elson for Donna Karan

Karen Elson is the face of Donna Karan for autumn/winter 2008 and this month I spotted this ad in Vogue UK. I really like Karen, and am amazingly jealous of her fiery red hair. My love for her grew during the autumn Zac Posen show where she laughed her way through a fall. I am not sure about this very pink ad campaign, I think I prefer Karen when she looks a bit edgy. What do you think?

Bond Gets a Right Royal Welcome for Quantum of Solace

Princes William and Harry joined a whole host of stars on the red carpet in London's Leicester Square last night for the Royal World Premiere of Quantum of Solace at the London Film Festival. Daniel Craig looked suitably suave alongside his partner, Satsuki Mitchell, and the famous females in attendance ignored the freezing weather and pulled out all the stops with their slinky outfits. Costars Gemma Arterton and Olga Kurylenko went for bright jewel tones, with Judi Dench wearing the most striking accessory of the night on her back. Elle Macpherson shimmered in metallic pink and Grace Jones wore a typically crazy dress, while Lily Allen kept it simple in her LBD.
