Lauren Conrad hit the red carpet alongside a bevy of beautiful ladies for the Lucky Magazine and Madewell Fall Denim Tour at the Bar Marmont last night in LA. Hollywood starlets from all over TV and film came out to celebrate the new line of denim, although for most of the atendees, short skirts were the dress code for the evening. Kristen Bell looked like the picture of health in her layered look, while Mandy Moore showed of yet another new hair transformation.

The Elle Women in Hollywood Awards brought out some of the town's biggest names last night. The ceremony was held to coincide with the magazine's similarly themed upcoming issue, and cover girl Katie Holmes hit the cream carpet to show her support. Apparently Suri helped Katie select her all-black outfit, and the proud mom even opened up about their adventures in Boston.

Elle magazine hosted its annual Women in Hollywood Tribute at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills last night, and gorgeous British women rubbed shoulders with their American counterparts. Cat Deeley kept it classic in an LBD and L'Oreal Paris Legend Award recipient Julie Andrews was elegant in her black floor-length frock. All five November cover stars were in attendance, with Renee Zellweger dazzling in bright red, Emily Blunt cute in a nude number and Katie Holmes daring in a sheer black outfit alongside fellow cover stars Julianne Moore and Zoe Saldana.

Not one year after the fact, President Obama's inauguration is being incorporated into a romantic comedy to be directed by Richard Linklater. The Dazed and Confused, Before Sunrise, and School of Rock director will next helm Liars (A-E), a script written by Emma Forrest (who used to date Colin Farrell). The movie "is a romantic comedy about a woman who, on the way to President Obama's inauguration, retrieves lost items from her ex-boyfriends."

It's time to let you know all the new releases that I recommend this week! First up I have a couple of DVDs for you — Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla came out yesterday and I very much enjoyed this fun-filled crime caper. It has some amusing performances in it, especially from Gerard Butler and face to watch Tom Hardy.

Welcome to my roundup of this week's new releases! First up, Tropic Thunder comes out on DVD this week, so if you missed it at the cinema you can check out Robert Downey Jr's Oscar-nominated performance as appearance-changing serious Australian actor Kirk Lazurus. Ben Stiller directed, wrote and stars in the movie, Jack Black costars and Tom Cruise has a great cameo as a studio head.

Elegant looks were out in force at Elle's 15th Annual Women In Hollywood tribute event in LA yesterday. The annual event paid tribute to women working successfully in the film industry including Nicole Kidman, Jane Fonda, Isla Fisher, Halle Berry, Anne Hathaway and Sigourney Weaver. Brit actresses Lena Headey and Kate Beckinsale flew the flag for the UK — I adore Kate's simple one-shouldered white gown.

Michael Cera and Kat Dennings, who play the title characters in Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, posed together last night for the red carpet premiere of their movie. They looked sweet giggling for the cameras with their director and a few costars, and apparently these two aren't afraid to poke fun at each other now and then. We're excited to see Michael step it up and take on a romantic comedy, and after reading Buzz's review, we have a feeling many of you will want to see it this weekend, too.
