Since Kate got together with A-Rod there have been rumors that they're engaged or, more recently that she is pregnant, but there's no word that she'll be putting on a white gown for a real ceremony just yet. Kate and Alex are, however, going strong after six months of dating, proving that they're more than just the suspected Summer fling.

Seeing as Santa Monica is an urban beach community, this comfy-cum-cute ensemble is quite appropriate.
