Yesterday in New York City, Kate Hudson was spotted walking around with a gal pal before getting into a taxi with her newly darkened hair. For as long as I can recall, Kate's always been a California blonde, however, for her new movie The Killer Inside Me she's had to dye her golden locks a medium brunette shade. I like the change and find that I'm warming up to her rich hair hue. How about you - do you prefer Kate as a brunette or a blonde?

Kate Heads to the Salon Before Getting Dressed to the Nines

Kate Hudson made a low-key trip the hair salon yesterday after a busy weekend of honoring heroes and attending award shows. Kate looked relaxed in her casual sportswear after her dress got a lot of attention at the American Music Awards on Sunday. Kate seemed to have a little trouble staying covered by her Versace number -styled by Rachel Zoe- as she and Nicole Kidman introduced their Nine costar Fergie and The Black Eyed Peas. Unfazed by the possible slip Kate headed backstage where she cozied up to an awaiting A-Rod before he was off to join the fun at the Lakers game.

Simply pull all of your hair back in a high ponytail. Yesterday afternoon Kate Hudson left a dance studio with a purple polka-dot scarf tied in her hair. I pretty much always wear my hair in a ponytail with a bobby pin holding any stray bangs back when I exercise. I don't know about you, but if I have to stop what I'm doing to push my hair out of my face, it totally ruins my flow. How do you wear your hair when you work out?

Both Kate Hudson and Charlize Theron looked stunning at the Christian Dior haute couture fashion show yesterday in Paris. While Kate had loose, flowy and natural-looking hair and makeup, Charlize was coiffed to the nines with short, tight waves and heavy, smoky eyes. I can understand both looks. Kate was more summertime in the city, and Charlize pulled out all the stops-after all, it is Dior Couture. Which look do you like better?

Kate Gets a Killer New Hairstyle

Kate Hudson was almost unrecognizable with her new dark hair on the set of The Killer Inside Me in Oklahoma City yesterday. The movie also stars Casey Affleck and Jessica Alba, but this is the first we've seen of the film. Kate's been mixing things up from her typical romantic comedy fare with this film and Nine, and we're looking forward to getting another taste of the Oscar-nominated actress we fell in love with during her Almost Famous days.

New Product Alert: Kate Hudson and David Babaii for Wildaid

It has been nearly a year since Kate Hudson announced that she was diving into the beauty business, and only now are we able to see the fruits of her labor. Kate, with stylist David Babaii, worked to create David Babaii for Wildaid. The 10-piece line currently consists of all the usual suspects like shampoos, conditioners, and pomades - with mousse and hairspray on the way - as well as a hair dryer and flat iron. The products are all in the mid-tier price range ($11.95 to $14.95) with the styling tools on the higher end of the scale ($119.95 for both the flat iron and the hair dryer), but the good news is that part of the proceeds will benefit the Wildaid wildlife protection program. I'm sold, how about you?
