Kate Hudson's Winter Wedding Perfection!

Yes it's the middle of July and there is a heat wave sweeping the nation, but if you happen to be having a winter wedding, I bet you are deep in to the planning stages by now.

In the spirit of this, I thought we could take a look at the gorgeous winter wedding of Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson in Aspen, Colorado. Not only did Kate Hudson prove to be practical (long coat for the cold weather) but she also styled her gorgeous, strapless, ivory, silk duchesse satin dress Vera Wang dress to resemble the designs of the 19th century. Her couture had the finishing touches of a hand-stitched corset bodice. I believe the floor length fur coat was Vera Wang also.

Fun Facts:

Kate and Chris wed on December 31, 2000 (New Year's Eve). The wedding took place in Aspen and the ceremony was held under a tent at her parent's home. They had 70 guests.
The reception was held at the Elk Mountain Lodge.
The theme of their wedding was winter white with tons of white only flowers and white candles.
Her bachelorette party was held 2 nights before at Caribou's Whiskey Bar in Aspen.
Chris gave Kate a 5-carat Asscher-cut diamond ring.
They met at a party in NY and 4 days later they moved in together....6 months later they married.
Chris wore a dark gray Brioni suit.

Kate Hudson Wears a Wedding Dress but Isn't Getting Married

Kate Hudson donned a wedding dress for a shoot with fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh in New York City yesterday, presumably for a future cover of Harper's Bazaar. Since Kate got together with A-Rod there have been rumors that they're engaged or, more recently that she is pregnant, but there's no word that she'll be putting on a white gown for a real ceremony just yet. Kate and Alex are, however, going strong after six months of dating, proving that they're more than just the suspected Summer fling.

Pop 100 Girls Fergie and Kate Still Playing Together

The girls became close friends while filming Nine in London and apparently Kate even helped Fergie with her wedding planning. Kate's been spending a lot of time with A-Rod these days, but there's always room in the schedule for a girls' night out. Kate Hudson Glows With Sweet PopSugar 100 Success

He's got a bit of a break between Adventureland and Wolverine, and he could use a little help from his fans before he gets back to work. After a big year that included his wedding to Scarlett Johansson and running the NYC marathon, Ryan is still trailing Kate Hudson by a slim margin in the Pop 100 competition. Kate Dishes on Dating, Marriage and Honesty With Cosmo

Kate Hudson's been enjoying the sun, sea and sand in Maui with Australian golfer Adam Scott, but before she jetted off she chatted with Cosmopolitan about being single, dating, and getting married again. The Bride Wars actress also revealed how she spends her downtime, and how important honesty is. Here are highlights:

On being single: "I’d always been the kind of girl who really loves being in a relationship – I don’t think I’ve been properly single since I was 17 – so it’s always where I’ve felt at my best. But this time it’s different. I’m single and all of my friends are with someone, and that’s never happened before … It’s really nice to sit up at night and read a book, or knit – I love knitting! … I even love sitting there and sometimes being a bit bored, because it makes me appreciate the times when I do do things with my friends … I definitely want to incorporate this new ‘me’ into my next relationship, where you still do things by yourself."
On dating: "Dating is a funny one. I’ve never sought love out. I’m a big believer that women should just live their lives and if it happens, it happens."
On whether she would consider getting married again and whether she always dreamt of the big white wedding: "I don’t know. Who knows who I’ll end up with, and if marriage would even be important to them. I dreamt of the fairy-tale love story – but not so much of the wedding. I never pictured the type of dress I’d wear. For me, it was more about finding the man I was going to have children with. I didn’t think I’d be looking for more than one, though!"

On her friends: "There’s a core group of us. Three I met before the age of 16; the others when I was about 21 … we’re the complete opposite. We talk about everything. Although, we don’t talk behind each other’s backs … We don’t say something unless we’d say it to that person’s face. When I was younger, my friends were just there. Now I have to make an effort. I’m definitely more demanding of my friends now too. I don’t mean in terms of what I expect from them; I mean as people. For example, I’m the kind of friend who, if I see that someone has got potential in their life and they’re not fulfilling it, I’ll tell them."
On being honest: "I think it’s fine for people not to get along, as long as it’s out in the open. I have a problem with people who sweep things under the rug … I had one friend whose boyfriend I hated, and I just said to him, ‘I’m sorry, I just don’t like you and I have no idea why you’re together’ … It didn’t come out in a mean way though."

London Fashion Week: Celeb Spotting - Part Five

We're on part five of my celeb spotting at London Fashion Week series, and yesterday there were even more shows from the likes of House of Holland and Betty Jackson, as well as a big charity fashion show called Fashion For Relief, where lots of famous faces took to the catwalk in aid of the White Ribbon Alliance. Heidi Range lost a shoe on the catwalk as she worked it with her Sugababes bandmates, but that didn't stop her grinning as she posed! Cheryl Cole also beamed as she walked up and down the catwalk, but anyone would if they were wearing her enormous new wedding ring.

Daisy Lowe and Naomi Campbell brought some professional model skills to the mix, and Jo Wood, Estelle, Skin, Monica Cruz, Kimberly Stewart, Jamelia, and a show-stealing Cilla Black also worked their inner model alongside hunky male models Tyson Beckford and Paul Sculfor. Elsewhere in London Kate Hudson, Goldie Hawn and Sharleen Spiteri were seen clutching Lanvin bags as they left a party, and Coco Sumner was among the guests at Harrods for Andre 3000's clothing launch.

Kate Talks Weddings and Wilson Brothers With W

Kate Hudson is on the cover of W's big September issue, and though she sports looks that are more high-fashion than her usual laid-back style, in the interview she still seems to be a bubbly California girl. Kate sat down with the magazine earlier this Summer, before her split from Lance, to chat about her son, her family, and her love for the brothers Wilson. Here's more:

On her former co-stars: “I laughed so hard with Jason Lee,” she says of filming Almost Famous. “My connection with him - everything about his sense of humor just got me. And Luke and Owen!” she exclaims, referencing the Wilson brothers, with whom she worked on Alex & Emma and Dupree, respectively. “Man! I can’t get through anything with those two.”
On Ryder: "He’s super athletic. I just signed him up for tennis camp. He’s very good at riding a bike - no training wheels. And he’s skiing! I was at that age too, but not as good as he is.”
On having Ryder at 24: "Am I gonna look back and say, God, I wish I could have gone to that. . . that. . . concert? I’d rather be listening to my son sing songs. I’d rather be watching him sleep."

On her family: "I watched my parents go through ups and downs in their careers. At the end of every day, as soon as they walked through the door, it was about us kids. About watching Scooby Doo or The Three Amigos or whatever we were interested in. I guess that’s what you wind up emulating. I love acting, but I can be present on set, and then at the end of the day I come home, and it’s about family. . . eventually it all goes away. So you just gotta keep enjoying yourself."

Kate has done a good job lately at staying close with her ex-husband, so hopefully her positive outlook will help her deal with her most recent breakup.

Jessica Really Appeals to the Teens

Apparently Jessica and Cash didn't have time to take advantage of being in Paris after Eva and Tony's wedding, because the two were at the airport on their way out yesterday morning. And don't they just look thrilled as usual (though I'm loving her coat)? Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer may have been a bit overshadowed by the other Summer blockbusters, but the Teen Choice Awards committee took notice and nominated Jessica for 3 awards: Hissy Fit, Female Hottie, Action Adventure Actress. The show isn't until the end of August, but you can vote here. Mark my words, teens love Jessica, but she may have to lose to Seacrest in the Hissy Fit category.
