27 Dresses and More Britney Babble

Katherine Heigl smiled big in her glittery dress at the premiere of her 27 Dresses in LA, complete with an entourage of pretty girls dressed in - you guessed it - 27 dresses. She had the support of her BFF TR Knight and co-star Ellen Pomepo. The Office star Melora Hardin was there to show off a new beauty look as well. Of course her new husband Josh was there to pose on the red carpet, too, and in true Heigl fashion, she had plenty to say about her honeymoon and married life. Katherine loves to talk about herself, but even she couldn't help but throw in her two cents on Britney Spears, saying,

I can't possibly imagine what that young girl is going through. I just hope...that even with all this attention, people can find it in their hearts to be compassionate and not be so judgmental. She is obviously in a great deal of drama and pain, and that's a horrible thing for someone to go through in front of the entire world - and I'm sorry for her.

Guess we're not the only ones who can't stop talking about Britney. Between Ellen Page and Katherine, it seems like Britney's not going away as a hot topic of conversation among celebs anytime soon.

Hey Katherine, I Think the Other Side of the iPhone Is Way More Fun

LL wasn't the only girl to rush out and get the hottest, sleekest little number on the market -- lucky Katherine Heigl showed off her new iPhone on the set of 27 Dresses in Central Park this week. It's a little unnerving to see her as a non-blonde, right? She looks to enjoy talking on her iPhone, but may be a little befuddled with the rest. I gotta say I'm pretty jealous of her gadget (have you played with one? It's pretty awesome) -- don't forget to enter Geek's iPhone giveaway to get your hands on one of these bad boys!

Katherine Shows Us One Of Her 27 Dresses

Katherine is back on the set of 27 Dresses, in which she plays a bridesmaid in, you guessed it, 27 weddings. Judging from these pictures it looks like one of them will be a traditional Indian wedding. We're so used to seeing Katherine with her blonde hair and scrubs, Izzie Stevens style, especially now that she is launching her own line of scrubs so seeing her in a sari seems so out of character.

Katherine Heigl, Only A Bridesmaid On Screen

Katherine has been making headlines these days regarding salary drama on the set of Grey's. We're personally getting a little sick of Izzie but at least we can look forward to seeing her in some different roles soon. In fact, her next big screen movie, this summer's comedy Knocked Up, is already getting good reviews and she's just signed on to star in a romantic comedy called 27 Dresses. Her character is the classic case of always the bridesmaid never the bride, but her real romantic life is much sunnier -- she's engaged to singer Josh Kelley.

Hopefully seeing Katherine in a new role will win us back as a fan. We're more excited that Katherine might be a part of all the wedding coverage we will be including on the site so be sure to tune in starting next week when the Sugar Network starts our coverage of all things wedding season -- from the engagement to the honeymoon and everything in between!

It's rare to see Katherine Heigl stray from her platinum-blond locks, although she went dark blond for her role in 27 Dresses. At last night's premiere of The Ugly Truth, Katherine gave us a surprise, debuting a new brunette shade with subdued red undertones. What do you think of her new look? Last night in Los Angeles at the premiere of The Ugly Truth, Katherine Heigl wowed the red carpet with dark auburn hair. Depending on the light and the angle of the cameras, the shade varies between red and chestnut brown, but it's certainly is a drastic change from her usual platinum look. The only other time I've see Katherine head over to the dark side was for her role in 27 Dresses. Out of these three colours, which do you like the best?

Katherine Is an Award Worthy Friend to the Animals

Animal lover Katherine Heigl and her mom stopped by the Villalobos Rescue Center in LA on Sunday. She admirably brought photographers along to document the creatures' situations, but Katherine is mostly getting praised for her work these days. Both her film 27 Dresses and her recently controversial show Grey's Anatomy were just nominated for People's Choice Awards - Buzz has the whole list of this year's honorees. Her husband Josh won't let her adopt any more pets, but he'd probably be happy to clear space on their mantle for another one of Katherine's accolades.

Katherine's Rough Life Includes Trips to Paris and the Oscars

Katherine Heigl headed to Paris with her mom this weekend, squeezing in some time for shopping when she wasn't promoting 27 Dresses. Katherine probably has her eye out for last-minute additions to her Oscar ensemble. She's one of the many A-listers who will be presenting an award, which only confirms that Ms. Heigl is really a movie star now. Katherine may annoy us from time to time, but she tends to impress us on the red carpet. We're looking forward to seeing whether or not she'll go with her typical old Hollywood glamor, or wow us with something new.

Katherine Heigl's Not Trying to Fool You With Her Chick Flick

Katherine Heigl didn't even get a chance to make her way out of JFK before she was spotted by the paparazzi, and even given a gift by one fan. We all know how much Ms. Heigl loves those cigarettes, and one person decided to recommend a box of Nicorette patches to help her kick that nasty habit. When she's not puffing away these days, Katherine is gearing up for the release of her 27 Dresses this weekend - but don't expect anything too thought-provoking. When asked about the film, Katherine recently said, "It's a real chick flick. It's the kind of movie I love and try to go see every chance I can get. But you know. There's not a ton of profoundness about it."
