Katy Perry, Blur and Lady GaGa Enjoy T In The Park

Scotland played host to T In The Park at the weekend, with bands like Blur, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Franz Ferdinand, The Ting Tings, and Razorlight performing alongside solo stars like Katy Perry, Lady GaGa, Paolo Nutini, Lily Allen and Calvin Harris. It wasn't all about the music though, as there was some pretty eclectic style choices from the artists present, FabUK has her rundown of all the fashion at the festival! Blur member Graham Coxon almost caused the band to pull out of headlining the weekend, when he came down with a bad case of food poisoning, but luckily he recovered and the show went on, even coaxing some sunshine out of what had been a mostly rainy day!

2008 MTV EMAs: The Show & Winners

The big winners at last night's MTV Europe Music Awards were Britney Spears and Jared Leto's band 30 Seconds To Mars, each of them winning two awards. Hostess Katy Perry beat Duffy to take home the award for New Act, and the Brits were represented by Sir Paul McCartney and Rick Astley who each took home a gong. For the most part, the winners were American, and there was certainly a theme running through the evening as President-Elect Barack Obama's face showed up on everything from the video screens to one of Katy's twelve brightly coloured outfits!

The show was definitely dominated by Americans, which included performances from Pink, The Killers, Kid Rock, Kanye West (with Estelle) and Katy herself, what did you think - would you have preferred more European acts performing as Take That and The Ting Tings did? Or was the overriding American influence reflecting our tastes in music in Europe? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

2008 MTV EMAs: Here Come The Girls

The ladies looked lovely on the MTV Europe Music Awards red carpet last night, and my girls Fab UK and Bella UK were polling you on their looks as the show aired live on MTV! Beyonce performed at the ceremony, showing up in a short black mini dress and showing off a rather random shiny metallic glove. Hostess Katy Perry wore a handful of brightly coloured outfits throughout the evening, beginning her fashion show in this bright blue number with huge eyes printed on it.

Daisy Lowe was a smiley goth in her black dress and studded belt, whereas Estelle and Leona Lewis both went for pale shimmering numbers for their trip down the red carpet! Finally, those Sugababes showed off their British pride at the Liverpool venue in dresses of red, white and blue! Check out all the dresses in my gallery and let me know what you think!

2008 MTV Europe Music Awards: Katie White of The Ting Tings

Katie White from The Ting Tings is working a rock chick vibe at the 2008 MTV European Music Awards. She's gone for a dramatic disco queen look with sparkly grey shadow and thick black liner. Bright frosted pink lipstick combined with contoured blush gives Katie a retro style. Her two tone hair looks extra fluffy with this season's crimping trend and over-one-eye fringe. T4 On The Beach: A Summer-y Summary

So I've told you about my experiences with McFly, the Skins cast and Kelly Rowland at T4 On The Beach, but now it's time to show you all the rest of my photos and sum up the day. A couple of my style icons Agyness Deyn and Alexa Chung both did their thing onstage at the event, Agyness looked fab (do you agree?) in her checked shirt, which seemed to be the item du jour for all of the men who were there, from McFly's Harry and Dougie to T4 presenters Steve Jones and Rick Edwards.

The 45,000 strong crowd loved Agyness and there was a roar when she took to the stage to sing with Five O'Clock Heroes – she also brought her man Albert Hammond Jr to keep her company! Alexa was rushing about backstage to present her links, but looked gorgeous in her mini with ankle boots. She was also rocking some wayfarers, like many people at the event including yours truly and the super-cool Carl Barat who performed with Dirty Pretty Things.

Alexa's fashion partner in crime Gok Wan was also there, and I spied him in the VIP bar watching Feeder perform "Buck Rogers". A little later Gok and friends took advantage of some transportation that was going unused backstage, staging a smile-filled mini photo shoot outside the press tent. The Ting Tings put on a great performance despite a little trouble with Katie's microphone cord, and "Shut Up And Let Me Go" was definitely a highlight of the afternoon. The boys in the crowd all perked up when Basshunter performed with a bunch of scantily clad female dancers, and the entire Basshunter crew got rather merry on the free booze backstage following the performance as the album went in at number one yesterday!

Speaking of the scantily clad, the press tent went rather quiet as four of the Gladiators came in wearing their costumes... one of whom the female faction went a little googly eyed over. Who knew ridiculous costumes could have that effect? At the same time Gemma Atkinson came in and the men also got a little googly eyed. She's really petite, seemed very down to earth and was so friendly to everybody backstage – another genuinely nice type, which was fab to see.

All in all it was an awesome day, and I can't wait for next year. Did any of you go or watch it go out live on TV? Let me know!

Trend Alert: Crisp White Shirt

I guess this shouldn't really be called a trend alert, but rather a wardrobe staple as a crisp white shirt should always be an integral part of your wardrobe. But seeing as Katie Holmes was spotted out this week in hers I thought I'd pick the best currently available to share with you. You don't have to spend a lot on a shirt but if you do the tailoring and the fit will obviously be better. Who Wore It Better? White, Feathery Marchesa

Camilla Belle and Katy Perry's styles couldn't be more different, but clearly the two have a shared love for white, feathery Marchesa. Camilla first wore this gorgeous piece from the Spring '10 line at an event in LA a couple weeks ago. She paired it with strappy black sandals and sparkly jewels. Then Katy sported the same fancy frock onstage at the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards in Germany with a pair of sequined pumps. Both look like delicate swans, but who wore Marchesa better?

Ask Casa: Help Me Choose Paint Colors

Hi Casa,

My boyfriend and I are about to move into our first house and I couldn't be happier! I can't wait to get in there and start putting our touch on things! The only problem is that I am having a tough time picking a paint color for the living room.

A few years ago, I bought a set of three prints that I absolutely love. I want to hang them above the sofa in our new place, but I'm having a tough time finding the right paint color to highlight them. When we first bought the prints, our living room was white and they popped beautifully. But now I'm a little sick of white and want to add some color, but I'm not sure what direction to go. The living room in our new place opens onto the dining room, so whatever color we choose will have to continue into the dining room too.

Any suggestions?

Hi Katie,

Great prints! I love them. This isn't a tough one. When choosing a wall color for a wall with artwork, my rule of thumb is always to choose a hue that's an accent in the art piece, but not the primary color. You should choose a complementary color, too. In this case, the background colors of two of your prints are a greenish-blue and a true blue, and in all three prints there is reddish detailing. So, I think a red or watermelon hue would really make your prints pop. Not only are they on the opposite side of the color wheel from those greens and blues, but reddish walls will make the red detailing in your prints pop!

I made a couple of mock-ups to give you an idea. But the best thing to do is head to your paint shop and grab a few samples in these colors, and then bring them home to see what works with your prints. Then, test the paint on your walls before you paint the whole thing. If a whole room in a red color is too much for you, you can always just paint an accent wall and then leave the rest of the walls white. I think it works with the artwork, too, because red is a really important color in Asian culture.
