Katy Perry showed off her demure side in NYC wearing a preppy tweed coat, black studded bowed flats, and a bejeweled headband. It's an unexpected look compared to her usual off-kilter ensembles, and we like it. However, the singer did manage to sneak a whimsical touch into her Upper East side outfit with a cute teddy bear bag - kitschy bag alert! Simply adorable.

Everyone's Wearing Vivienne Westwood for Melissa

Vivienne Westwood's collaboration with Melissa shoes has been on my radar for a while, and as new styles keep being added I can't help but share them with you. The gorgeous footwear has received plenty of celebrity support recently from the likes of Katy Perry, Katie Holmes and Shingai Shoniwa of The Noisettes. Campaign star Pamela Anderson was the first to step out in the Lady Dragon heart heels last December, and Katy Perry was soon to follow suit in the same peach pair. Katie Holmes was spotted on the set of The Extra Man wearing a black, Mary Jane style (£79) with a comfortable heel. This weekend, Shingai wore my favourite pair – the tortoise shell lady (£88) which are very versatile. What do you think of this collaboration?

Katy Perry in Basso and Brooke

Katy Perry likes to wear bright colours. Who can forget her Manish Arora carousel dress at the MTV Europe awards or her Hello Kitty corset at the Brit Awards. Well, it seems to be expected then that she should wear a piece by London based designers Basso and Brooke. Earlier this week she wore a suit from their Spring line on stage in New York. Chris Brooke told Grazia Daily about their star moment. "Katy has been requesting it from our PR for months. She wanted to wear it on New Year's Eve but it was always out being used in shoots. In fact she has worn quite a bit of our stuff. She has a unique sense of style. In the end we gave her the sample of the suit. We think she looks brilliant in it."

The print features "a collage of quite iconic Japanese symbols" and is available from Feathers. What do you think about Katy's on stage style?

It may be cloudy in the UK at the moment, but Katy Perry is doing her bit to add a touch of sunshine to London with her bright coloured jacket. The singer was appearing on Radio 1 this morning in this funky ensemble. I really like this jacket on her and the sunglasses pick out one of the key colours perfectly. She finished it off with a pair of fun Melissa heels with cute heart detailing. What do you think of her Spring style?

Katy Perry has had a busy weekend in Paris as she attended three of the major shows; Jean Paul Gaultier, Karl Lagerfeld and Sonia Rykiel. She wore classy black dresses for the first two with Christian Louboutin heels at Jean Paul Gaultier, and changed in to funky ankle boots later. Katy went for a cool disco look in the evening as she wore a glittery frock to party with Sonia Rykiel. Which of these three ensembles is the most fab?

Fab Blab: Katy Perry Talks Clothing Lines and Style Icons

There are more than a slew of celebrity clothing lines out there, but none with a retro twist. The cute-as-a-button Katy Perry may fill that void with a possible clothing collection. "I've always experimented with clothes and have my own style inspired by pin-up girls and Lolita," she said. "I love to create a character, and I like looking like I've just stepped out of a history book." She certainly did that in her Manish Arora merry-go-round dress (left).

As for her style icons? "Agyness Deyn and Dita Von Teese." It remains to be seen if she acts on her intentions, but given Katy's whimsical style, I would love to see what she dreams up.

She went from being the bubblegum princess at the Grammys to looking seriously sleek in Herve Leger at Bondi Blonde's Style Mansion party in Beverly Hills several days later. This sassy chick loves experimenting with fashion, so her latest red carpet choice is bound to be unique. Notice how the red and black graphic on her dress lends urban edge. This is way more streamlined than Katy's past choices; do you love it or hate it?

Beyonce, Jay-Z and Katy's Big Night in Berlin For the EMAs!

Stars of the music world hit the red carpet and the stage at tonight's MTV EMAs held in Berlin, Germany. The ladies were decked out in black and cream, with Beyonce and Katy Perry standing out in their long gowns. Bar Refaeli looked gorgeous as usual, but the dress was a bit of a departure from her usual style. The guys were the one with the stand out makeup trend of the night - guyliner - though the Jonas Brothers weren't feeling the need to participate. Inside, Jay-Z performed and looked adorable posing with his wife backstage while Brody Jenner smiled with Miranda Cosgrove. She also stepped out in a sexy red costume and was the biggest winner of the night taking home three awards! Lady Gaga, U2 and Jay-Z were also among the artists who will be packing up their statues for the flight home. Katy Perry had a handful of costume changes, but her man Russell Brand wasn't there to give her a hand with that - check out all the big performances here.
