Whitney Port Is a Miami Bikini Babe Out of The City

Whitney Port had a busy weekend in Miami where she attended the Swim Fashion Week events before hitting the beach in a bikini of her own yesterday. She was filming the whole thing for The City, which will be a familiar sight since she made a trip to Florida on the first season as well. When she wasn't showing off her beach body, Whitney also was back working with her former boss Kelly Cutrone at some of the Fashion Week shows. It's hard work - splashing around in the Miami sunshine - but someone's got to do it and it looks like Whitney is happy to be that girl.

Fab Flash: London Fashion Week Gets a Helping Hand

London Fashion Week is just a few months away now and excitement is still building following the return of many big names including Burberry Prorsum, Matthew Williamson and Jonathan Saunders. Today, the BFC announced another boost to their plans as they appoint Peoples Revolution to promote the fashion showcase to the US.

You are probably familiar with the PR agency owing to their role in The Hills as they employed both Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port to help out. They are headed by Kelly Cutrone who is truly a force to be reckoned with! She is challenged with getting more Americans at the shows as they are notoriously MIA. This is possibly because everybody is recovering from New York and preparing for Paris and Milan, but this season might just shake up their plans.

Joint CEO of the BFC Caroline Rush commented, “The appointment of People’s Revolution aims to increase awareness and exposure of British designers amongst US media and buyers with the goal of supporting the growth of designer businesses and increasing the attendance of these audiences at London Fashion Week."

Bravo Branches Out to Scripted Shows, Adds More Reality

Bravo presented its post-Project Runway plans to advertisers today, and a good deal of the shows look familiar: competitions and reality series focusing on leaders in food, style, and art. The shows will bring some familiar reality stars back to the network and attempt to create some new ones as well. But that's not all: Bravo's also attempting a couple of scripted series. Here's everything Bravo announced, and here are a few of the things that stood out to me:

Blueprint and 30 Under 30: Those are Bravo's two scripted shows in development. Blueprint comes from the company behind Gossip Girl and focuses on two New York City architects and friends, one gay and one straight. 30 Under 30, meanwhile, sounds like it could be the scripted version of what happens to Bravo reality stars once their shows are done: its focus is a group of friends (including an up-and-coming chef and a high-end real estate agent) who find themselves on a "30 Under 30" list and thus begin to rise through New York social circles.
Kell on Earth and Laura Bennett: Can't get enough Kelly Cutrone on The Hills? No worries: Bravo has ordered a series called Kell on Earth following her and People's Revolution. Meanwhile, Project Runway star Laura Bennett - she of the lace dresses and many children - now has her own show in development.
American Artist and Launch My Line - Bravo confirmed its older news that Sarah Jessica Parker's American Artist will become a series. Meanwhile, Launch My Line will feature celebrities competing for the chance to launch their own fashion lines.

Eric B. - Bravo's already focused on celebrity chefs, stylists, and matchmakers, so really, why not a florist? Eric Buterbaugh designed the flowers for Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher's wedding (among others), so it's probably not surprising that the couple is behind this reality show.
Secret Life of Supermodels - Yeah, the Weinstein folks might have thought they one-upped Bravo with their behind-the-scenes Models of the Runway show, but this potential series will focus on working supermodels,including Carol Alt, Maggie Rizer, and Mariel Hemingway, as they travel the world and deal with the challenges of being professionally beautiful.
Design Sixx - This series will focus on real estate rehabbers Robert and Cortney Novogratz and their six children, who travel around new York living in rundown buildings and turning them into multimillion-dollar luxury dwellings.
Social Heights - Like the network's 30 Under 30, but real: This series focuses on a group of New York socialites and "will capture all the tension, drama and politics inherent to life among New York's social elite. . . . Some will climb, some will fall and others will be pushed off - but in the end, they all will learn what it's like to try and make it to the heights of New York society."

Exciting times for The Hills girls abound, what with Lauren gaining new opportunities and Whitney at People's Revolution. An official job offer materialized to come aboard for her "dream job" after proving she could go from "slo-mo to fashion glow" - words from Kelly herself. The girls experienced all of the excitement of the Whitley Kros Fall '08 fashion show backstage, making sure everything went smoothly. But of course there was trouble elsewhere between Heider and Spenci, and Lauren is none too pleased with the opening gap between Audrina and Heidi. How closely were you paying attention to the fashion details?

Perhaps this double episode thing is MTV's way of making sure that we get both the drama and the fashion. Works for me! This time we saw more of Whitney at her newish job. She seems to be pretty on the ball and unfazed by Kelly's slightly harsh personality, even winning points in a meeting by making a suggestion on possible celebrity outreach opportunities. Go Whit! Meanwhile, Lauren was feeling a little dejected by herself at Teen Vogue but it seems like we might be seeing her helping out People's Revolution soon. . . pretty exciting The Hills developments under way. London Fashion Week, Spring 2010: Kinder Aggugini

When fashion royalty are sat in the front row (Hilary Alexander, Suzy Menkes, Alexandra Shulman and Kelly Cutrone) you know you're in for a treat. Italian born Kinder Aggugini did not disappoint as he presented his Spring line on day two of London Fashion Week. The show felt like being let in on a well kept secret introducing everyone to his wonderful designs. The collection included a range of pretty party dresses which wouldn't look out of place at Alice in Wonderland's tea party. Indeed, Aggugini was inspired by fairytales and the reality behind them. The real beauty of Aggugini's designs lay in the details with trompe d'oeil prints, polka dots, just visible petticoats and lace panels. The gorgeous millinery was provided by Stephen Jones who created oversized slouchy top hats.

The second half of the presentation upped the ante with a neon palette, spray painted sections and cut out hole punch style circles. It was a very well put together line, which even lead Hilary Alexander to say it was "the best show in London since John Galliano".

Which Lipstick Looks Best on Whitney Port?

Reality star Whitney Port is known for her likable personality and sense of fashion. She, was, after all an "employee" of Diane von Furstenberg's design house, and has been rumored to be back with Kelly Cutrone at People's Revolution. On the beauty front, she's also known for her eye-catching looks, from her wrapped ponytail to her trendy multitoned hair color. As you know, I'm a proponent of makeup shade experimentation, and over the weekend while attending a Swim Show Afterparty in Miami, Whitney pulled out all the stops, wearing this bright, punchy coral-pink hue. While it appears that she prefers to keep her shade choices in the same color family, she plays around with the intensities and finishes. So tell me - which pretty-in-pink shade works best for this city girl?
