Donatella Gets Lindsay and the PYTs to Celebrate Art in NYC

Donatella Versace gathered some friends from the fashion and art worlds in NYC last night for the Whitney Museum Gala. First up was a star-studded dinner, where Taylor Momsen and Mischa Barton mingled with Shakira and Jennifer Hudson. The festivities then moved downstairs for the afterparty, with Lindsay Lohan turning up to make a cameo. We had a quick chat with the newly-minted artistic adviser, who said she was there "for Donatella" - and the duo certainly looked close as they posed for photos. Lindsay said she arrived late for the bash due to her travels, but that she'd be sticking around the city to handle "personal business." LL apparently even opened up later about her rumored hookup with Balthazar Getty, telling Gossip Cop that she'd never do that to Samantha Ronson.

LL managed to avoid any run-ins with Samantha's family as she narrowly avoided Charlotte Ronson. Donatella was truly the woman of the evening as she hung out with Lindsay, Mischa and Shakira and they all checked out a DJ set from Gossip Girl Taylor Momsen.

Bradley Is the Artsy Man of the Hour

Bradley Cooper was one of the few lucky men in a sea of beautiful women last night at an art party and auction at the Whitney in NYC. Ali Larter showed off her long legs while Lindsay Price cozied up to her boyfriend Josh Radnor and gushed about their relationship. Bradley's still enjoying The Hangover's big box office success, and with a sequel already on the way he can keep the ladies laughing for at least another year.

Cameron and Jimmy Let Their Geek Flags Fly at Webbys

The 13th Annual Webby Awards brought out a few tech-savvy famous faces in NYC last night. The acceptance speeches have to be kept to five words at the annual event and Jimmy Fallon debuted his on his show last night - "Thank god Conan got promoted" - when he won Webby Person of the Year. Cameron Diaz, who shows her geeky side with her Kindle loving, presented her friend with the statue and had a laugh up on stage in front of the audience. Alessandra Ambrosio helped accept for Best Fashion Site on behalf of Victoria's Secret saying, "Victoria's Secret: sexy lingerie. Yeah!"

Bradley and Justin Are Still Nursing Those Hangovers

Bradley Cooper and Justin Bartha teamed up in NYC last night for a screening of The Hangover. The event wasn't quite as star-studded as the LA premiere, but the guys still looked handsome, especially with Gerard Butler and Will Arnett joining the fun. This weekend we'll get to see the film go head to head with some box office hits, and if Buzz's glowing review is any indication, we might have another blockbuster on our hands.

Lake Bell in Colorblock Lyn Devon Maxi: Love It or Hate It?

The colors in her ensemble are punchy and the belt helps define her waist, but do you approve of the final product?

Pride and Glory: An Ordinary Story About Dirty Cops

We've all seen plenty of movies about police corruption and while it's not necessary to avoid this storyline altogether, it should be avoided if there's absolutely nothing new or interesting brought to the table. Today we even have another new movie that deals with a similar issue (dirty cops) - but in a compelling way. I really enjoy Edward Norton's work, and I wanted to give Pride and Glory a chance for his sake. But while he does a fine job in the film, he can't save it from being a rote, disappointing knockoff of many movies to have come before it.

Norton plays Ray Tierney, whose whole family - including his father Francis Sr. (Jon Voight), his brother Francis Jr. (Noah Emmerich), and his brother-in-law Jimmy Egan (Colin Farrell) - is involved in the NYPD. Ray begins the investigation of a case involving slain cops and as he digs deeper, signs begin pointing him toward his own fellow officers and worse - his own brother and brother-in-law. Soon the family is torn over whether to go public with the truth about the case which would destroy careers (including Francis Jr.'s, while his wife is battling cancer), and the overall reputation of the NYPD. Edward Norton puts in a good-faith effort here and he's always a relief to see on the screen instead of most of the others (though Colin Farrell does well as a fairly one-note thug type). Jon Voight is well-cast as the aging, alcoholic family man at the head of this cop family, but Noah Emmerich appears to be incapable of keeping up in the heavy, dramatic scenes he's given.

There's one horrifying scene that really does seem to be shockingly violent just for the sake of being shocking and violent, and most of the time I had to roll my eyes at what seems to be a movie about little boys trying to act tough. One of the most intense conflicts of the movie is settled by, literally, a fistfight. By that point, the movie is nearing its end and the audience is hoping for more than this. Soon after the fistfight, everything wraps up rather neatly for this family of cops caught up in a dangerous mess, so while they must be relieved, we're left wondering why we went through the whole rigmarole in the first place.

Madonna, Lindsay, Jessica and More Get Filthy and Wise

Madonna took a break from her Sticky and Sweet tour and put on some crazy gun-heeled shoes to premiere her directorial debut, Filth and Wisdom in NYC last night. Lindsay Lohan must have enjoyed her Sunday night at the material girl's show, because she went right from her leggings launch to the red carpet while Samantha headed back to LA amid rumors of trouble in their relationship. Dolce and Gabbana cohosted the event leading to some decked out ladies like a gorgeous Jessica Alba out for the night without Cash and a glowing pregnant in purple Naomi Watts. Chace cleaned up nicely for the show instead of staying home to watch the new Gossip Girl on TV. While Madonna's husband has been busy promoting his own new movie, RocknRolla, he didn't make it to the premiere with his wife. It looks like a certain famous Yankee stayed away from Madonna's big night too.

Handbag Designer Spotlight: Bird

If the name Liz Carey sounds familiar to you, it's probably because you've seen the model/actress walking the runways of Alexander McQueen or Versace. Or maybe you caught a glimpse of her in the movies Spanglish or The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Now fast-forward. Liz has taken a new role - handbag designer - and it looks like she's found her niche.

Her handbag collection, dubbed Bird, is all about the exotic. Taking pieces from her worldly travels, the budding designer has created a line filled with personality and culture. From ostrich to snakeskin to Guatemalan wedding shirts, Liz's rich-hippie aesthetic had me - and Lake Bell, and Rachel Bilson - at hello. Oh yeah, and if you're wondering why Liz named her collection Bird, it's because the word also means "girl" in British slang.
