Shia LaBeouf and Carey Mulligan caught up yesterday between scenes on the NYC set of Money Never Sleeps. Carey is a busy woman working on her current movie and promoting her well-reviewed film An Education. Her schedule is bound to get even more packed, as she gears up to show off the upcoming Brothers alongside costars Natalie Portman and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Zac Efron adjusted his shades as he headed out for an appointment in LA yesterday, and kept his eyes covered during a stop at the Sunset Towers hotel today. He arrived in town earlier this week, and wasted no time getting back to his social routine — attending a bash thrown by Nylon Guys in his honor last night along with Ashley Tisdale. It was the latest meetup for the High School Musical friends, who are spending some quality time together while his girlfriend and her BFF Vanessa Hudgens is off working on her new movie, Sucker Punch.

It's been seven years since Norah Jones burst onto the music scene with her debut album and mega-hit "Don't Know Why," and the talented chanteuse has continued to make beautiful, jazzy music (and one movie, which we'll just forget about) ever since.
Her latest album is The Fall, which comes out Nov. 17, and I'm already entranced by the soft, haunting "Light as a Feather."

Who doesn't need a daily dose of awesome? I'm loving the latest site I stumbled upon, 1000 Awesome Things. From the surprising (#765: Thinking it's Thursday when it's really Friday) to the simply satisfying (#727: Letting go of the gas pump at just the right moment), the pain-relieving (#920: Getting the eyelash out of your eye) to small victories (#791: Getting the armrest at the movies), and my personal favorite, #654: Peeling that thin plastic film off of new electronics, the site features new awesomeness every day.

Gwyneth Paltrow flashed a little smile on her way out of a Valentino event in NYC on Tuesday night. She and her designer pal hosted their latest party together, this time celebrating the DVD release of Valentino: the Last Emperor and selling copies to benefit charity. The disc is apparently making its way to the Paltrow-Martin family collection, as she opened up about her taste in films at the bash.

January Jones is everywhere right now: This week's Mad Men was exceptionally stellar, her scandalous GQ issue is currently on stands — and the latest news this morning is that she will be appearing on the big screen soon, as well. (Much like some of the other Mad Men ladies.) Jones has been cast along with Diane Kruger in the thriller Unknown White Male. The film follows a man (Liam Neeson) who awakes from a coma to find that his identity has been stolen.

With the functionality to render a 1080p widescreen video, add transitions, and rearrange the order of slides, the new version is worth taking a look at. Once your video is finished, you have the ability to send it to YouTube, save to your hard drive, or burn to a DVD — directly from the software.

I know it is still the middle of Fall, but here's a video that will make you wish it were Winter. Powderwh*re brings you their latest backcountry skiing video appropriately titled Flakes. Last Winter the production company filmed some of the best telemark skiers in the world, with the goal to "capture the joy and freedom that is powder skiing."

The off-screen couple was all smiles between takes, making it seem as though any possibility of trouble in their relationship is in the past. Carey's focused on her project with Shia, but her upcoming film An Education is getting amazing reviews.
