Lauren Tends to Her Garden Before Playing Games

Lauren Conrad stopped to grab lunch before hitting up Home Depot for garden supplies yesterday, twittering about her green thumb on her way out. Later in the evening she got dressed up for the Assassins Creed II video-game launch with her friends and former Hills costars Lo Bosworth and Stephanie Pratt. LC is also working hard on the sequel to her bestselling LA Candy - which could make a perfect addition to your holiday wish list - and relayed her excitement about the cover art for book number two which will hit the shelves next year.

Best friends and former co-stars Lauren Bosworth and Lauren Conrad both appeared on the red carpet with the same hairstyle, but for different events. We first saw LC sporting this sleek, ultrastraight ponytail at her LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's line in Los Angeles on Thursday night, and on Saturday, Lo wore her hair a strikingly similar way to her birthday bash at Club Liv in Miami. Lauren Conrad Launches Her Kohl's Line With a Few MTV Stars

Lauren Conrad had the support of her girls last night at the launch of her LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's line in LA. The Hills and The City came together with Lo Bosworth, Whitney Port, and Frankie Delgado all out to check out LC's affordable new designs. At the party, Lauren gushed about her amazing week, which also included a movie deal for her first book, LA Candy, but she says don't be looking to her to star in it. She joked about her acting skills, saying, "I think my acting is offensive! I'm an awful actor, I'm not super comfortable with it. In fact I was just trying to do lines . . . and they'll tell you, I cannot memorize lines." Even so, it's big moves for the former reality star who is making quite the career for herself while her friends still on the MTV show are laughing off their rumored salaries.

PopSugar Exclusive - Kristin Talks About John Mayer, Whitney and Lo on Their Shows, Stacie and Justin Bobby?!

Lots of ladies from The Hills and The City hit the red carpet at last night's MTV VMAs. We chatted a little with the shows' stars about all the changes to come this season, with LBD clad Whitney Port and Lo Boswoth sharing some previews. Kristin Cavallari addressed her rumored romance with John Mayer, while Stacie Hall - aka Stacie the bartender - revealed one rather big spoiler. Here's more:

Kristin on allegedly dating John Mayer: "It's funny because I've met him one time, for 5 seconds at a big press event like this. I don't know, it's always funny how these rumors get started."
Stacie on what to expect from her next season: "I find myself in a lot, a lot of drama I didn't think I was a dramatic person. . . definitely with boys. That's gonna happen. . . "
Could it be Justin Bobby? "Maybe. . . (smiles)."
Lo on next season: "You're going to see a lot of new female faces - not just Kristin. You're going to see new troublemakers, which you know, it kind of makes me a little uncomfortable! I've kind of been there since the beginning, and I want it to be exactly what it was and it's not anymore."
Stephanie on Heidi and Spencer's baby plans: "I was with them and they started talking about freezing eggs and stuff, and I was like, "Ew, you guys! I'm right here.'"

On what we can expect on this season of The Hills: "Little bit of drama, there's always relationship drama. Not just with me, with kind of everybody. A little love triangle I guess is happening. . . I'm excited for everyone to see my side of the story, and my point of view because everything is not always as it seems."
On keeping in touch with LC: "I'm filming with Lo, who lives with her, so we get updated. . . but I don't see her too often, I really don't. But there's no bad blood there."

Whitney:

About her new costars: "Everyone is very different, and not in a good or bad way. Everyone plays off of each other, in a very dramatic kind of feeling.
On Jay returning to The City: "I'm not sure, to be perfectly honest. I mean, he is my friend and he's in and out of my life. But I haven't seen any of the episodes yet, so. . . "

Stephanie:

On what's coming up with her: "I'm a serial dater. I don't have a boyfriend - I want to date every single guy ever. But, I will play the bad cop, there's so much BS between the girls, I will call them out."
On Stacy's comments about Justin Bobby: "She needs a publicist to tell her not to talk about the show! Yeah, it gets nuts."

Stacie:

On if we'll see lots more of her this season: "Yeah, it's weird. Like on the last season, I didn't even mean to be on it - it was unintentional. Now I'm in the group!"

Frankie Delgado also chatted with us about the ongoing issue between Brody Jenner, his girlfriend Jayde Nicole and Joe Francis, saying that her face is all better after the alleged assault a few weeks ago. That won't be a part of the season, but we're sure to see lots more of them all when The Hills is back in just fifteen days!

Hills Girls and Celebrity Parents Make Time to Be Heroes

Big-hearted stars of all ages got together for a sunny afternoon in LA yesterday at the 20th annual A Time For Heroes Celebrity Carnival to support the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz brought Bronx to his first charity event, where he stayed close to mom and dad at the t-shirt making booth - check out an adorable video of Bronx below. Heidi Klum was there with her three kids who could not get enough of the giant slide. Most of The Hills girls made appearances though Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth showed up after Kristin Cavallari had already done her red carpet walk. Stephanie Pratt was preoccupied thinking about Heidi and Spencer down in Costa Rica while Lo joked that the carnival was more her speed than bug eating when it comes to charity. The Disney stars were also out in full force including Selena Gomez and a performance by Miley Cyrus to round out the day of philanthropy, delicious food and wholesome fun for so many families.

With LC leaving The Hills, will Lo go too? Never afraid to speak her mind on the reality show, she's also not scared of some heavy liner and spiky lashes. How-To: Lo Bosworth's Sweet and Sexy Makeup

Last night, Lauren Conrad debuted her Spring 2009 collection at LA Fashion Week, while The Hills co-star and buddy, Lo Bosworth, watched from the front row.

Lo, who managed to pull off the "hard core, but sweet" look with ease, chose a more demure pink gloss and blush to contrast with her edgy, heavily-lined black eye makeup. The good girl/bad girl combo - always a good mix.

For some suggestions on how to achieve Lo's style with only two multitasking products, check out my tips below:

Eyes - For dark and sultry eyes, try Stila Smudge Pot in Jet Black ($22), a nifty gel eyeliner and shadow. Using a liner brush, line the top and bottom lash lines. Next, tap in the product on your lids with your fingers (or a brush). Then, simply smudge.

Lips and cheeks - Pull a double duty with a shimmery pink cheek and lip duo. Try Vincent Longo Pearlessence Gel Stain ($22.50) in Bellini Love or Dolceacqua, depending on your skin tone.

Last night's episode of The Hills went a little something like this: Heidi's sister Holly had lunch with Lauren (gasp), Audrina's relationship with Lauren got better, her relationship with Justin worsened, and dare I say it, Lauren admitted she misses Heidi. But despite Holly's hopes to rekindle Lauren and Heidi's friendship, Lauren made it clear that's not going to happen. Never say never. As always, there was plenty of emotions and power ballads to keep us hooked, but I hope in the midst of it, you paid attention to the clothes. Let's find out.

It never feels good when someone tells you: We're better off as friends. Even though Lauren decided to end things with Doug on The Hills, he's the one who said those words to her. Obviously trying to play it cool. Speaking of cool, while things cooled down for Lauren, they heated up for Whitney and male model Alex. But how tricky of Kelly to slyly set them up on a date. While we didn't see Audrina and Lo on last night's episode, we did see plenty of Stephanie. Brody's not too keen on her but only time will tell if his instincts are right. Do Tell: Have You Used Your Pet to Avoid Company?

Even if you aren't totally into The Hills, or missed last night's episode, I've already confided that I was fingers crossed to see the rascally pup, Chloe. Sadly, she didn't make an appearance last night, but the doggie was mentioned – I'll relay the events below and I want to hear how you would handle a similar situation.
Two roommates (Lauren and Lo) threw a birthday party for a third roommate (Audrina). Now there's no love lost between Lo, Audrina, and her friends and, at one point, Lo disappears. A short while later, Lauren asks where she was and Lo nonchalantly mentions she was simply upstairs playing with the dog. Hmmm.

Now my home isn't big enough for me to hide away during a party, and I've got no roommates to have guests over that I don't care for, but I've witnessed similar reactions. In fact one close friend always seems to take a loooong walk with her pooch whenever one of her boyfriend's friends (that she doesn't care for) decides to stop by. Have you ever tried this tactic?
