Fab Flash: Lauren Conrad to Show at LA Fashion Week

I told you I would keep you up to date on LC's fashion show, and I'm not one to break my word.

I was a little concerned when I didn't see Lauren's name on the schedule for New York Fashion Week, but all is well - she is set to show during LA Fashion Week, which happens next month, Mar. 9-13. The Smashbox Studios venue is definitely more fitting for The Lauren Conrad Collection's laid-back, California feel. I might be at LA Fashion Week, too, so I'm glad I didn't miss out on LC, after all!

Lauren, Kim, and Rachel Kick Off Monday With Fashion Week!

New York Fashion Week was at it again bright and early this morning with another set of celebrity-studded shows. The fashion-loving stars were fresh off a weekend full of shows, with some even waking up after a night at the VMAs. Kim Kardashian was front and center at Tracy Reese as well as Jill Stuart where she joined Rachel Bilson, Amanda Bynes, and Nicky Hilton. Lauren Conrad skipped Whitney Port's collection last week, but was out for Rebecca Minkoff this morning wearing polka dots. Anna Wintour and Rachel Zoe have both been out since the beginning of Fashion Week and attended both Carolina Herrera and Donna Karan's shows today. Fashion Week is rolling on and the stars are showing no signs of fatigue as they kick off another in a string of long days in Bryant Park.

Who Wore It Better? Rebecca Minkoff Polka-Dot Blouse

While Rebecca Minkoff was expanding her fashion empire, showing her capsule Spring RTW collection and newest trendy accessories at New York Fashion Week, Lauren Conrad and Michelle Tractenberg dropped by in the same black and white polka-dot blouse - I'm guessing it's from the designer's aforementioned collection. Lauren upped the style ante in cropped leather pants, while Michelle shined via peep-toe patent pumps. Lauren grabbed the turquoise RM clutch, Michelle is a red RM bag/matching red lips kinda gal. Who worked this classic blouse better?

Mary-Kate and Lauren Keep the Fashionable Week Going

The Fashion Week glamour is moving right along, with more star-studded front rows. Lauren Conrad switched gears from working on her own collection to see Nanette Lepore this afternoon, while Leighton Meester stepped out for 3.1 Phillip Lim. Mary-Kate Olsen, meanwhile, was on hand last night for the latest of Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld's art parties, helping when someone fainted while Rachel Zoe kept an eye on Brad Goreski on the dance floor. Rachel then moved on to a party at the Museum of Modern Art with Josh Hartnett and Bar Refaeli, who you guys don't seem to think has found a match in Chace Crawford.

Lauren and Heidi's Teary Post-Fashion Show Reunion!

Lauren Conrad debuted her Spring 2009 line to a very packed house as part of LA Fashion Week last night. Lo Bosworth, Kyle Howard, and Jason Wahler were all in the front row, though it looks like Audrina Patridge didn't make it. Whitney Port is in NYC shooting her new show. The biggest story of the night, however, is what happened at the afterparty. Everyone followed LC to STK to keep celebrating, and who just so happened to unknowingly arrive for a drink? Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. Apparently Heidi made the first move to go congratulate Lauren on the show, and the two had a talk that involved tears and hugs from both sides. Afterward, even Spencer had kind words for LC. Today, Lauren confirmed the reunion saying how nice it was of Heidi. We'll see whether this is the start of a real reconciliation between Lauren and Heidi, but for now it looks like that hinted at truce between the feuding best friends.

All the Girls Want Is a Piece of the Fashion Action

Fashion Week keeps trucking along with lots of famous faces in the front row and backstage. Fresh from her Irvine show, Lauren Conrad had Lo Bosworth by her side today for Nanette Lepore, while Rachel Zoe joined Jennifer Lopez to support her recent favorite, Oscar de la Renta. The Gossip Girls went their separate ways - Blake Lively wore the designer joining Heidi Klum at Michael Kors, while Leighton Meester and a surprisingly normal-looking Juliette Lewis went out to see Phillip Lim. On top of her stop at Proenza Schouler on Monday, Mary-Kate Olsen brought along boyfriend Nate Lowman yesterday to check out her pal Benjamin Cho's collection. There are only two more days of fashion fun in NYC before things pick up again in London on Sunday.

12th Annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show: Pink Carpet Interview With Lauren Conrad!

I'm back from the whirlwind that was the Victoria's Secret fashion show and had to share one of the highlights from the pink carpet: an interview with girl about town and Beverly Hills sweetheart, Lauren Conrad from The Hills. You may remember she and I are like this (finger cross) as we met not too long ago at LA Fashion Week. This time we chatted about lingerie, fashion, and what she wants for Christmas.

Is this your first time attending the Victoria's Secret fashion show?
Yes! I'm excited to see all the new lingerie and and I just love fashion shows. I am most excited for the Spice Girls; I want to hear "Spice Up Your Life."

What are you wearing?
Dress and shoes by Moschino.

I adore those shoes!
Me too! They also come in a mary-jane wedge in the black satin and rhinestone toe. They are the most awesome.

And what's underneath?
Victoria's Secret actually. That's all I wear for underwear because it's right across the street from me. I'm wearing the one with the lace band across, black.

What do you want for Christmas?
Oh I know this because I was just going over it with my mom. From my family I'd like pictures of them for around my house. And I'd like a new wallet - Chanel or Yves Saint Laurent - simple, black.

LA Fashion Week, Spring 2009: Lauren Conrad

I'm sure it was a raging afterparty because it looks like our Hills heroine put on a successful Lauren Conrad Collection runway show last night. Her Spring lineup was inspired by the beauty of Spring. OK, that's sort of ambiguous - allow me to elaborate. With her usual flirty silhouettes, Lauren upped the fabrics, detailing and prints for Spring. She showed an array of solid jersey dresses, both cocktail and maxi, but there was plenty beside those usual suspects. I quite fancy the artsy floral and beige-and-white chiffon polka-dot prints. One thing about Lauren is she manages to deliver pieces that are both sexy and girlie. Sexy: The white ruched formfitting dress. Girlie: The ladylike separates.

Accessories were also highlighted adding some Spring flair. I've never been a fan of rosettes - worn here as headbands - but I am a fan of geometric bangles. Lauren came out to warm round of applause in the end, the only way from here is up.

LA Fashion Week, Fall 2008: The Lauren Conrad Collection

As we hoped, Lauren Conrad stepped up her game for her first runway showing and Fall collection for The Lauren Conrad Collection. And, to our excitement, all her friends were there to share in her glory.

In the front row sat Whitney, Audrina, Lo, Kristin, Brody and Frankie - all giddy and excited to be at Smashbox Studios. FabSugar was on the other side of the runway amidst Lauren's family (funny huh?). We sat next to her grandmother and had some words with her mom and sister. They were very proud and thought the show was fabulous. When asked what her sis's favorite piece was, she said the strapless ivory ruffle dress (pictured) - very cute indeed. Very Lauren!

The French flair - berets, leather gloves, and chic pumps - added a certain je ne sai quoi to the collection, and helped create the girl Lauren is trying to convey. These pieces were an improvement from what we've seen from Lauren thus far; some were the casual cute pieces we know, some were form-fitting and flirtatious and will want to get to know. The palette was autumnal: ivory, terra cotta, plum, olive green, and there was plenty of black, Lauren's self-proclaimed favorite color. High waisted skirts, a zippy botanical print and lace were new additions. Let's put it this way: there was less bubble and more bodacious.

These are clearly clothes Lauren and her posse want to wear so my question is: Do you want to wear them too?

The Best of The Hills Season Five Style

The finale of The Hills season five is Sunday, and you know what that means? Almost time to bid adieu to Lauren Conrad. Sad, but life goes on . . . with new cast member Kristin Cavallari. I wonder how she'll fare, but until next season, let's take a trip down Hollywood Boulevard and recap the best outfits of season five.
