Did you know that it is currently official National Model Week? Well it is, and the event was kicked off by Coco Rocha, so to mark the occasion I will be looking back at some of the biggest models from the 20th century to the current day. Today I will begin with the swinging 1960s, which is one of my favourite eras of history.

Badgley Mischka is celebrating 20 years of decadent design with some of their favorite Hollywood clients. After all, if it weren't for them, the brand wouldn't be as popular as it is today. Earlier today I posted my first gallery of a whole host of celebs who have been out and about at New York Fashion Week over the past few days, and now it's time for part two. Mermaids (remember that?!) co-stars Winona Ryder and Christina Ricci sat next to Nicole Richie at DKNY, creating a gorgeous front row. Like Nicole, Gossip Girl stars Jessica Szohr, Leighton Meester and Michelle Trachtenberg have also all been spotted at several events, the latter showing sexy curves in a Herve Leger dress.

Fashion Week moved from London to Milan over the weekend, and Scarlett Johansson was on hand to kick off the festivities. As the face of Dolce & Gabbana cosmetics, she paired up with the designing duo for a photo call at a department store yesterday afternoon to show off her cherry red hair and big smile. Scarlett was joined today by fellow actresses Kate Hudson, Naomi Watts, Eva Mendes and new clothes horse Freida Pinto for the brand's runway presentation.

Today I continue looking back at classic models as we move on to the 1970s. Obviously, some of the models from the '60s were still a major part of the fashion scene – particularly Lauren Hutton and Penelope Tree – but a few new faces started to emerge too.

The Costume Institute Gala, kicking off May 4, has everyone giddy with anticipation. Like prom, one of the most important decisions is choosing your dress and date. This year, the "Model as Muse" theme has inspired many designers to choose models as their dates, while others are sticking to their usual beau and celeb buddies.
