Years ago, when hair expert Keneesha Hudson allowed her curly locks to go natural, it proved to be a positive experience. "I feel a great sense of freedom wearing my own hair," she told me. "It definitely has a much more organic feel to it.

In an attempt to offer a new twist in the haircare market, HerCut, a line of products tailored to the form and shape of your actual haircut, launches online today. Earlier, most of you said you'd at least give it a try, but as expected, there were some rumblings about whether or not these products could actually work, as they eschew something rather important when it comes to your hairstyle — its texture.
HerCut offers five styling "Catalysts" ($22 each) that pump out a cream on one side and a gel on the other, to complement the foundation of the haircut (think multichambered toothpaste dispensers).

Back in May, we announced our Ultimate Hollywood Beauty Getaway, with the promise that one lucky winner and a friend would receive the amazing grand prize of a haircut and color by Lisa Satorn, a top stylist at Ken Paves Salon; a full cosmetic makeover by Smashbox Cosmetics lead pro artist Lori Taylor; and a two-night stay at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, including spa treatments at the Ciel spa! We are pleased to announce that reader Mlmoreno47, aka Miranda, gladly accepted our prize, and just returned from her whirlwind weekend in LA.
"When I met Miranda I could see that she was a confident, bubbly young lady," said Satorn.

Ciara arrived at the TXT L8TER event in Hollywood the other night looking like a modern-day Audrey Hepburn. I've always been in awe of her long, super-shiny hair, but I'm really coveting this new cut, which is actually — scoop! — a perfectly shaped hair piece (no worries, you can do this with your own hair, too).

Kristen Stewart was shyly hiding her new haircut under her hood as she left a recording studio in LA yesterday. It looks like her hair's been cut again, there certainly seem to be some more layers in there compared to yesterday's photos, as she morphs into Joan Jett for her new movie The Runaways. Kristen's been learning the guitar for the movie, and it's been announced that she has a new recently cast bandmate — Alessandra Torresani will play Lita Ford, alongside fellow Runaways Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie and Stella Maeve as Sandy West.

That Lily Allen never gets complacent with her hairstyle. Bored with her long locks, she arrived in Paris yesterday to attend the Chanel Ready To Wear Autumn 2009 Show with a fresh new haircut. The singer chopped off her long silky hair into lots of short layers and fringe at a Notting Hill salon just two days ago.

Dear Sugar
I have been trying to grow my hair long for six years. Aside from getting regular trims, it's never gotten any real styling because I've wanted to keep the length uniform. The most drastic things I ever done were to cut off the dead ends and put a few layers around my face; none of which have ever really done anything to improve my look.
