Trend Alert: Heart Print Tights

One of the few things I enjoy about the cooler months is being able to wear super cool tights! Avid readers of FabSugar UK will know that I am not adverse to wearing bright colours and love to make a statement with my legs. Heart print tights are top of my wishlist right now, and I particularly love this big graphic print pair (£10) from Topshop.

There are more subtle styles like Urban Outfitter's sheer ones (£10). Will you be wearing heart print tights this Winter?

Lily's Touring Takes Her Through to 2010

After being part of the Take That reunion of sorts at last week's Children in Need gig, Lily Allen has been touring the UK. Charitable Lily auctioned a pair of her trainers off at the Mothers4Children garage sale this weekend, and the busy singer performed last night in Sheffield, wearing dark lipstick! She'll be in Manchester for the next couple of nights then travelling around the country until she finishes the UK leg at Brixton Academy on December 17. With tour dates in Australia and back in the UK with Dizzee Rascal next year, it looks like 2010 will still be busy for Lily!

Beyonce and Jay-Z Party With JLS in London

Beyonce is in London for the UK leg of her tour and she's been partying all over town this weekend with Jay-Z and the JLS boys. On Friday she wore a white and silver dress at Kanaloa with the guys, and last night she wore an all-black ensemble at Whisky Mist after her concert at the O2, where she was joined on stage by Kanye West and Jay-Z, and she's brought so much luggage with her that she's reportedly had to book a hotel room just for her bags! At the club last night Beyonce helped Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, Oritse Williams and JB Gill celebrate their album beating Robbie Williams to number one spot. The sweet moment followed a devastating day for the lads, when a number of their fans were crushed as they performed at Birmingham's Christmas lights switch on. We wish a speedy recovery to those who were hurt.

Leggings continue to be everywhere this season in bright colours or adorned with studs! Studded leggings are sure to see you through to Spring where the grunge trend seems likely to continue.

This is an item you can have fun with and either dress up with a hot party dress or dress down with an oversized knit. Some of the style are quite subtle, like Marks and Spencer's border studded pair (£18) where as others make more of a statement like Oasis' decorated version (£45). Will you be wearing studded leggings this Autumn?

Celebrity Style: Davina McCall on Big Brother Final

The penultimate series of Big Brother came to a close on Friday night with Sophie Reade being announced as the winner. PopSugar UK has all the highlights and the details, however it was Davina McCall's ensemble which caught my eye. I was even more excited to discover that she was mixing High Street and designer! She wore a statement jacket from River Island with sequined leggings from Warehouse for an amazing disco look! She rounded off the look with a killer pair of Jimmy Choo heels. What do you think of her look?

Get Motivated: Marathoning With Prosthetic Leg

In the evening when the couch gets too comfy, a little outside inspiration can be helpful. The story of Abdi Dhuhulow is just that. After reading his story on BBC News, I laced up my sneakers and went for a run. When fleeing fighting in his native Somalia as a young boy, a bullet struck his ankle. He fell from the truck, which then ran over his foot - crushing every bone. When he emigrated to the UK he underwent four surgeries in attempt to repair his wounds, which also included a fracture to his femur. In the end, his leg was amputated. After struggling to walk for 14 years, moving about with a prosthetic leg brought new found freedom and running. Of the experience of losing his leg, Abdi says, "Before this I could not even walk without crutches, but by losing my leg I felt I got my freedom back. Now with one leg I can run marathons."

Although running at first was difficult, because the surrounding legs muscles were so weak. Determined to not be defined by his disability, eight months post-op he was able to run a mile in under seven minutes - with a prosthetic leg designed for walking, not running. When he upgraded to a better prosthetic leg designed for running, his race times increased: 19 minutes for a 5km, 40 minutes for a 10k, 1:30 for a half marathon, and a little over three hours for a marathon.

Reading the determination of others inspires me. Abdi's times are fast. I think he is amazing, and he motivates me to hit the pavement. What about you - are you inspired to run?

On Our Radar: Markus Lupfer for Topshop

Topshop's designer collaborations are becoming legendary and they have been working with the Markus Lupfer design house for eight seasons! This Autumn they continue to work together as a line of quirky sequined jumpers arrive instore.

The items begin to arrive in Topshop across the UK and online on 28th July and feature unusual objects including a parrot, a pineapple and a heart and they all retail for £85. They're a great nod to the eighties revival and there are enough sequins involved to make it a great day-to-night investment.

My favourite is the parrot which has a distinct retro vibe. I'd wear it with jeans or sparkly leggings for a fun evening look. What do you think of Markus Lupfer's collaboration with the store?
