I made these leggings two weeks ago because I needed something new to wear with my Balenciaga sandals for Fashion Week. I have been wanting a pair of the ones by Black Milk for awhile but didn't have the money, so I spent $10 on fabric instead and even made a pair of biker shorts.

For a company that's having a contest for its next butt, I don't know why it's concerned with people wearing tights for pants or bras for shirts or whatever it's peddling today. Of course, American Apparel couldn't care less how or if you wear pants, but it's very vested in you buying these nonpants.

I own many pairs of leggings but none in gray. I recently got the urge to shop for a pair, something sleek, not sporty. These MM6 Maison Martin Margiela Gray Leggings ($181) are just what I need. They would break up an all-black outfit but still maintain the moody vibe. Too bad they're out of my budget.

These Newport News Simply Must-Have Slim Leggings ($12, originally $19) are just right. They have that brooding quality I'm looking for and they're way cheap. I can't wait to pair them with high-heeled booties for a dressy look and with flats while running errands.

Since leggings are here to stay, it's only natural they evolve and grow from their simple beginnings. These Theory Leather Patch Leggings ($258) are part moto, part regular legging. They're not for everyone, but a hardcore chick would rock them big time. Considering they're not classic, that price tag is out of the question.

These DKNY Riding Leggings With Patch ($59) less harsh on the wallet, plus not as tough-looking. They're a good way to ease into the patch trend without being obnoxious. I'm sold, you?

Love it or Hate it: Black Milk Lollipop Leggings

It's no secret that I love leggings. I have many pairs in different shades, colours and fabrics and am rarely seen in anything else! Black Milk have taken leggings to the next level with so many different colours and patterns.

This multi coloured pair ($80/about £50) have caught my eye and are a great way to add colour to a Winter wardrobe. It could be too much though and I'm concerned that they might not be that flattering.

I like them, but I know they won't be to everybody's taste, so tell me – do you love or hate these leggings?

Leggings have been around for a while, but in 2009, they made a mad comeback. Face it: everywhere you turned, limbs were dolled up in leggings. Some basic, a few crazy, many cropped, lots of long. Jeggings even had their own cult following and outshone regular denim. Catwalks, streets, malls, and boutiques all embraced the comfy chic trend. Long live the legging!

Lindsay Lohan may have continued to push headlines this year, but one thing remained: her 6126 legging line. I think it's a combination of good timing - leggings are winning trend of the year - publicity, and innovative design. Let's face it, she kind of took leggings to another level. Here's the Spring Look Book, I'm already looking forward to lightening my leggings for sunnier days and these textural nude ones are my first musings. Simply Fab: Plush Fleece-Lined Leggings

Baby, it's cold outside, so I've been doing everything I can to stay fashionably warm. By pure accidental luck - I tagged these onto my order because I wanted to get free shipping - I came across these Plush Fleece-lined Leggings ($35). On the outside, they look like a regular pair of black leggings, but the inside is a completely different story. The soft fleece lining is super soft and keeps my legs insulated from the chill. Hands down, the best Winter leggings. I wish they came in different colors . . .
