John Mayer proved to be the main attraction at last night's STARS benefit gala in LA. He cracked a few jokes from the podium, before whipping out his guitar to perform some of his new music that you guys are loving. He was rolling solo for the evening, despite the recent rumors about his romancing Rashida Jones that her publicist denied and of course the ongoing Jennifer Aniston reports.

Funny People, a new film starring Adam Sandler, Eric Bana, Jonah Hill and Seth Rogan is about to hit theatres in the UK on 28th August. It's made quite the splash in America already with it's hysterical cast and slapstick plot. For those of you who don't already know who Leslie Mann is (think Knocked Up, The 40 Year Old Virgin and Big Daddy) she's side-splittlingly funny, charming and to boot, she has perfectly taught skin.

As always, this week's red carpet affairs asked stars to dress to the nines. Sienna Miller, funny gal Leslie Mann, and my girl Diane Kruger all listened and donned stunningly sassy frocks. I know you loved their looks, but how closely were you paying attention to the details?

Funny girl Leslie Mann graced the red carpet at the LA premiere of Shorts wearing an abstract print dress by Oscar de la Renta and Christian Louboutin Bianca python pumps. We don't see enough celebs donning green and Leslie works it to perfection. The vibrant color complements the strawberry hues in her hair and it also looks amazing against her skin tone.

Before we get right into my thoughts on Funny People, let me preface by saying that I loved Judd Apatow’s first two films, The 40-Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up. I would count both among the best comedies to hit Hollywood in the past few years, and I had full faith that he would hit another home run with his third directorial stint. I understand that he was ready to try something new and a get a little more serious, but looking back at his first two achievements I have to wonder: when the formula works so well, why mess with it?

A handful of Hollywood's most hilarious actors and actresses gathered together for the premiere of Funny People in LA last night. Eric Bana and Seth Rogen suited up while Adam Sandler kept to his casual style. Leslie Mann made a splash in her all-pink ensemble, but Rashida Jones looked equally gorgeous in muted tones — what lipstick shade do you like best on her?

Funny People is a new movie with a fab cast that includes Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, Eric Bana, Jonah Hill and Jason Schwartzman. The Judd Apatow film comes out in the UK on August 28, and is about a comedian (Adam) who learns he's terminally ill, and becomes friends with and mentors a younger comedian (Seth). Despite the seemingly sad subject matter, it's definitely a comedy movie — so check out the trailer and let me know what you think!
