Sneak Peek! Stella McCartney For LeSportsac Fall '08

It seems like only yesterday the announcement came that Stella McCartney would design for LeSportsac. A year or so later, the collaboration is still going strong. LeSportsac just released the Fall collection that will appeal to mommies, hikers, and fashionistas alike. The color palette is based on earth tones - bark, black, and plum - and the silhouettes are functional and minimal.

The 11-piece line, retailing from $85 to $450, includes handbags, luggage, canteen bags, and backpacks. Stella has paid a lot of attention to detail by incorporating compartments for cosmetics, notepads, water bottles, phones, etc. Deer lovers will be happy to know that each bag is accompanied by a gold deer charm. Also, all the fabrics are made from 100 percent recycled materials. Mother nature would be proud.

I've been hunting ShopStyle for the past couple weeks for a great plaid-ish buffalo check top for Fall - they're all over FabSugar right now and I can't be left in this trend's dust! Neither can LeSportSac apparently, who has a new hot pink buffalo check Laptop Sleeve ($40).

Do I love it? Did you not read my intro? I'm dying for it. LeSportSac is fast becoming my go-to for new, top-of-the-trends tech accessories - remember the Lexie Laptop Tote I was obsessed with and their line of Stella McCartney geek goods? Hot. Keep it up.

LeSportsac's Lexie Tech Tote: Love It or Leave It?

I really appreciate LeSportsac's contribution to the gadget-bag world; not only have they partnered with Stella McCartney to bring us laptop and camera bags, but they continue to churn out new pretty patterns for sleeves.

Now they bring us the Lexie Tech Tote ($120), which I'm crushing on. The neutral tone is mod rather than boring, and it looks like a single bag that won't break my back when I have a lot of stuff in it, especially since the nylon is a lighter alternative to leather or canvas.

But the same things I love about it - the color, the size, the fabric - might be what someone else hates.

Tell me: It's a hit for me, but is it a miss for you?

Stella McCartney Le Sportsac Bag

Mother to a 19–month–old daughter, I'm still on my quest to find THE perfect diaper bag. For quick jaunts to the park, I grab my slim and lightweight tote. Oh, the bonus feature is a removable makeup bag to keep mama looking fresh and clean too.

Loud, Lovely LeSportsac Laptop Sleeve

I'm more in favor of a busy pattern on my laptop bag if it's in sleeve form, rather than an actual bag - that way I'm never in danger of looking wildly uncoordinated (or looking juvenile, depending on the style). As a sleeve, you can put this in your bigger bag, and then at your destination, whip out a crazy colorful sleeve like this Bibelot print LeSportsac sleeve.

The pattern on this bag is loud, but not in a bad way. The colors are pretty, harmonious, and most importantly - fun! While it does kind of remind me of a lunch bag I had as a kid, this sleeve is still nevertheless sophisticated lady material. And at $40, it slides right into my post-tax-day budget!

If you hold out it will come: After a disappointing showing from the new Kindle cases, I was feeling pretty uninspired by gadget bags and cases. Well, the geek accessory Gods are smiling on us, because Stella McCartney's line for LeSportsac has gone live, with a lot of pretty and posh options for laptops and cameras (currently available for pre-order) . The line is priced $120 to $325, which is pricey, but more reasonable than most Stella McCartney offerings. Also making it worth it: They're all made of 100 percent recycled eco polyester. Stella McCartney and LeSportsac Create Eco-Friendly Cosmetics Cases

If ever there was an example of how fashion and beauty go hand-in-hand, this is it. New, from organic skin care developer and clothing and accessories designer Stella McCartney, is a brand-new line of chic, eco-friendly cosmetic and travel cases. Stella partnered with the king of lightweight carry-alls, LeSportssac to bring us two functional and practical toiletry totes made from 100% recycled eco-polyester.

The items aren't cheap, but they aren't over-the-top either. The Cosmetics Case ($98) contains front and interior easy to access over sized-zip pockets and an interior envelope pocket to maximize organization and space. It is available in a solid cream or grey quilt style or in two floral star patters.

The Hanging Travel Kit ($150) contains a removable inside pocket (where you can store valuables), a mesh pocket and a larger compartment that can fit bottles. It is available in two floral star patterns and one light pink/pale pink color-block variation.
