I quite like this rich and more mature look on her, however, I'm so used to her with pale hair, it's going to take a little getting used to. After seeing Heidi and Spencer's Halloween shenanigans, I'm thinking that, yes, we will be seeing lots of Jon-and-Kate pairs this Halloween, particularly because that asymmetric blond wig is selling like crazy. Also from popular culture, I'd venture to say that there will be many sparkly Edwards and Bellas (get her exact makeup look here), Mad Men tributes, and even a few zombies, thanks to the success of Zombieland.
Of course, there are always tributes to those who have passed, and perhaps we'll see some Michael Jackson costumes, complete with heavily lined eyes, light red lips, and curly wigs. Tell us what you think about Halloween 2009. Are you expecting an abundance of zombies, vampires, and/or pop stars, or do you have other things in mind?

Witchy Makeup Ideas: Harry Potter's Luna Lovegood

Throughout the past few days, I've been bringing you witchy how-tos, from Wicked's Elphaba to The Chronicle of Narnia's White Witch, and now let's get in on the Harry Potter action, with everyone's favorite quirky, kind-hearted witch, Luna Lovegood. With lofty physical characteristics, such as silvery-gray-toned eyes, waist-length dirty blond hair, slight brows, and a dreamy look in her eyes, Luna's often perceived as strange - even a bit loony - to those around her.

To get her unique look, wear light contacts, a pink cheek and lip stain, along with one seriously long, slightly disheveled blond wig. Finish off your costume with some radish earrings, a Ravenclaw scarf or tie, or butterbeer necklace. An optimistic, matter-of-fact disposition will make you truly authentic. Sexy British trouble maker Danielle Lloyd strutted her newly dark hair on the red carpet last night for the MOBO Awards in Glasgow. She's been playing around quite a bit lately with her hair hues going from platinum blonde to a warm brown shade with highlights, and back to her standard deep brunette colour again. I like her best with a few highlights, but nothing too light as it just looks a bit forced and fake. Which look do you like most on Ms. Lloyd?

2009 Primetime Emmy Awards: Holly Hunter

Nominated for her role in Saving Grace, Holly Hunter looks every bit the movie star on tonight's red carpet. She wore her hair very long with luscious, curly blond tendrils, showing that she really knows how to make 50 sexy. From a makeup perspective, she kept the look pretty minimal - pink tinted lips, lightly rouged cheeks, barely there shadow - letting her fabulous hair do the talking. I'm loving this look on Holly. It's age appropriate and looks great on her. What do you all think? Is she the Saving Grace of the Emmys?

A few things have happened since Tria, the at-home laser hair-removal gadget, came on the market. First, the economy tanked, which may explain why Tria's price went from $995 to $795. Second, I've had almost a year to give it a whirl (full disclosure: Tria's PR team sent a trial unit for me to use). Third, my opinion has shifted over the last few months. Do You Wish September Mags Had Non-Blond Cover Models?

Since the September cover of Marie Claire popped up, it's become increasingly obvious that the glossy mags weren't kidding when they released their cover choices for the first Fall month - generally the biggest and most important issue of the year. As Fashionologie points out, Vogue, Allure, Elle, W, Glamour, and Marie Claire will all have light-haired cover stars. InStyle, which will feature Jennifer Lopez, seems to be the only exception. There's nothing wrong with (or unusual about) having a blonde on the cover, but it's going to look mighty light at the newsstand. What do you think? Are the mags just going with big celebs who happen to be blond, or might editors feel a fair-haired model is the safest way to sell in a tough publishing market? Or could it be that society is having a blonde moment?
