2009 Q Awards: Best Dressed

Now that you've seen all of the great Q Award looks, it's time to decide who is your best dressed! Fearne Cotton, Shingai Shoniwa and Sophie Ellis Bextor all opted for black frocks but in very different styles. Pixie Lott softened her studded number by wearing flowers in her hair, whilst Lily Allen went for a dropped waist dress. Who do you think has the best ensemble?

Trend Alert: Little Navy Dress

From the moment I saw these pictures of Lily Allen out having dinner with her Grandad I knew that everybody would be lusting after her dress. We saw Victoria Beckham in a Marc Jacobs navy blue dress back in April and this dress too features cute cut out detail.

Lily matched her dress to her navy blue quilted Chanel handbag. Although there are plenty of Little Black Dresses around this winter, I think the little navy blue dress is also a good contender. Blue tends to be less harsh against pale skin yet remains as flattering as black.

Navy blue has been breaking in to the fashion colour palette for a while. It's a great alternative to both brown and black and is often credited with reflecting our new and improved eco-shopping habits.

Celeb Style: Lily Allen

Yesterday Lily Allen was out and about in London showing off her latest hair colour and visiting friends. She matched her new darker hair with a black maxi dress but added shots of colour with bright accessories and white pumps. Lily is rarely seen without her bright coloured Ray Ban wayfarers these days (as spotted on her head at Glastonbury and the supermarket!) and why would she be when they're one of Summer's hottest accessories. Lily Wigs Out and Takes Another Tumble on Stage

Lily Allen performed barefoot last night at Manchester Apollo after tripping on stage in her high heels. The accident follows hot on the heels of Lily's tumble down the stairs during the Children in Need concert last week. Having stuck with her own hair and a monochrome outfit at her gig in Sheffield the night before, Lily wore a red Preen bandage dress and a two-tone wig for her concert in Manchester yesterday. Let's hope the rest of her tour goes without a hitch.

Queen Lily Presides Over Her Secret Show Audience

A lucky group of Lily Allen fans were treated to a show by the singer yesterday as part of the run of MySpace Secret Shows! Fans were instructed by Lily to dress up in costumes inspired by London Tube Stations and congregate at the Portobello Market Tent where they waited to be led to the venue. When Lily took to the stage at the Tabernacle she was dressed up as Queen Victoria - after Victoria tube station - and sang a set of her old and new hits to an audience dressed up in all kinds of costumes. It looks like such a fun night!

Lily Glams Up For Her New Video Shoot

Lily Allen was all dressed up for her cigarette break outside the shoot for her latest video today, chatting to crew members while she waited to continue working. Dressed up in a slinky dress, with dark lipstick on, and her brunette bob looking sleek, it looks like at least one look in the new video will be very glam! A poster of Lily is advertising the National Portrait Gallery in London at the moment, with detail from a photograph of her that's currently on display there. The campaign plays on the fact she was training to be a florist when her singing career took off, and that she's frequently said she'd be happy going back to that profession. Seeing as she's shooting a new video, I don't think that will be happening too soon!

Lily Could Be Swapping Music For Fancy Dress

Lily Allen swapped her hoodie and sunnies for her trademark style of hot pants for her gig at The Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles last night. We'll have to make the most of Lily's performances while we can, as she's said: "After this album and tour I have a brand new business I am setting up, but i can't say what it is yet. I am definitely considering quitting music." She has spoken in the past about opening a fancy dress shop with Jaime Winstone, so perhaps that explains those bunny ears. Would you be sad if Lily gave up music?

Grey Days Look Like Brightening Up For Lily

Lily Allen cosied up in a grey jumper dress as she went out in town with buddy Nick Grimshaw last night, and it's been revealed that she'll be getting some rather colourful gifts this Christmas. Her friend (and her brother Alfie's lady) Jaime Winstone picked up some presents for Lily at the Ann Summers party she attended earlier in the week rather naughtily saying, “It isn’t just Santa who comes once a year.” Ooh er, looks like single lady Lily will be having an enjoyable festive season!

Peaches Geldof attended a couple of shows at London Fashion Week, including House of Holland where she wore this cute ensemble. Some of you might recognise the dress from Lily Allen's latest video. The dress is part of PPQ's Spring line and features a cute bow tie. Both girls wore it with black heels and tights, Peaches also layered it over a long sleeve top and tied some ribbon in her hair. Lily Allen went for dinner at Nobu last night showing off one of her many current hair styles. She wore a floor length eye-catching Sonia Rykiel pink gown with a Chanel-esque long tweed jacket. The pink dress might have been eye-catching for all the wrong reasons as the patches of sheer revealed her underwear. Oopsy! She accessorised with a chunky white watch and clashing blue nails.
