NYFW: Celeb Spotting — Part Two
Earlier today I posted my first gallery of a whole host of celebs who have been out and about at New York Fashion Week over the past few days, and now it's time for part two. Mermaids (remember that?!) co-stars Winona Ryder and Christina Ricci sat next to Nicole Richie at DKNY, creating a gorgeous front row. Like Nicole, Gossip Girl stars Jessica Szohr, Leighton Meester and Michelle Trachtenberg have also all been spotted at several events, the latter showing sexy curves in a Herve Leger dress.

The stars were out in New York last night at the Whitney Museum Gala Studio Party in Manhattan, where glam was the order of the night for the guests. Alexa Chung looked beautiful in pale blue, on the day the second series of It's On With Alexa Chung started on MTV in the US, while Mischa Barton went for gown in a darker shade. Shimmering nudes and metallics were also prevalent as Gossip Girl's Taylor Momsen played her skin coloured dress up with a very smoky eye, and buddies Donatella Versace and Lindsay Lohan also wore pale shades.
Kate and Lindsay Come Together to Celebrate Mario's Launch
Kate Moss and Jamie Hince were among the guests at Mario Testino's launch party in Paris yesterday for his book Mario de Janeiro Testino. The couple mingled with the man himself as well as the other celeb guests including Alice Dellal, Claudia Schiffer and Russell Brand's new love Katy Perry. Lindsay Lohan also attended the party, wearing a pearl headband and dancing up a storm with the photographer — Mario certainly knows how to thow a party!
Fashion Weekend Bursts With Starlets, Famous Fashion Faces!
New York Fashion Week didn't slow down over the weekend, and the front rows were star-studded gearing up for last night's big event, the VMAs. Lindsay Lohan ducked into Alice + Olivia and Shenae Grimes, a sparkly Blake Lively, and Rachel Zoe all scored spots at the Diane von Furstenberg show on Sunday. Mischa stepped out for the Herve Leger show as well as to attend an event for The Beautiful Life.
Divine Dresses At D&G Do
This weekend saw more Cannes activity, including a fabulous Dolce & Gabbana party that saw familiar and new celebs to the Film Festival walking the swirly carpet to be photographed. Lindsay Lohan had reporters buzzing after showing up wearing a sparkler on her engagement finger, Rose McGowan had to accessorise with her large plastercast after she broke her leg, and the host duo showed up with Cannes birthday girl Naomi "Don't call me a supermodel" Campbell. Kate Hudson looked stunning in a white mini-dress and was apparently cosying up to her photographer-shy man Lance Armstrong all evening, Natalie Portman and her man Devendra Banhart also showed up, posing separately, but Devendra showed just how happy he was to be there by having a pre-party groove in front of photographers.Lindsay's Worth Waiting For On September's Elle Cover
Lindsay Lohan stars on the cover of Elle magazine's September issue, in some great photos shot by Rankin. Check out the video where it's revealed that the team waited twelve hours to begin the shoot! The photoshoot for this issue was the cause of some headlines as it led to a police investigation when some jewellery went missing from the set.

There are hundreds of bloggers I admire for their tenacity, drive, humor and innovative ideas, but very few who embody the combination of artistry, sarcasm and wit that 14, the founder of Gallery of the Absurd does.
14, who is an artist first and a blogger second, has wowed the web with what the New York Post called "Portraits of Shame" - as in satirical paintings and drawings of tabloid favorites like Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Tom Cruise and Alec Baldwin. While gossip blogs talked about the Hollywood Skeleton Girls, 14 painted them - as skeletons.
2008 MTV VMAs: Winners And Wicked Performances
As I told you earlier, Britney Spears won three awards last night, sweeping the board at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards. After her cringeworthy comeback performance last year, it felt like this year she'd finally got it all together — she looked stunning in her mini-dress as she opened the show with a skit featuring Jonah Hill (UK readers, you can watch it all unfold on MTV tonight from 8pm). Rihanna, T.I, Christina Aguilera and the Jonas Brothers also put on some memorable performances, with Pink's spectacle of a performance standing out as a particular highlight.

LA was host to the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards last night, and nominees, presenters and performers flocked to the red carpet for the show.
