Lindsay Reveals Her Lessons Learned

Lindsay Lohan posed for a dramatic black and white photo shoot in the newest issue of Interview Magazine. Lauren Hutton played interviewer as the ladies chatted about the downside to being famous. Lindsay revealed her frustrations and what she would change about her life if she could. Here are some highlights:

On the public's perception of her: "The worst part is, in terms of what people see of me, I have become this girl who just loves to be photographed, doesn't know how to focus, doesn't know how to work on set, just loves the attention, knows how to go out at night, knows how to party. And you know what? I was 20 years old. I never went to college. And I lived maybe six months out of my life like that, doing something wrong, and then I stopped. God forbid I should have ever learned my lesson. But at this point it's so hard for people to even believe that there was a lesson to be learned at all, because they just think I'm wrong. "
On what she would change about her life: "You know what's hard? I want to give back. I want to do all the things that will make me feel fulfilled. But whenever I do those things, people think it's a press stunt or something. Because they do find me, and there's really no way of hiding from that. And the second that you complain about it, they say, 'Well, this is what you wanted, so this is what you're going to get.'"

On why she started acting: "I just feel as though it's become a situation where people have manifested this caricature of who I am, and they act as if there's no real person inside of it. I mean, people really have come to believe-directors, producers, agents, whoever it may be-that I started in this because I wanted to be a celebrity. But that was never my intention. I wanted to be a movie star. But movie stars are not what they used to be."
On Lauren's advice to get away from it all: "But it's so impossible for me to actually do that. When I was in Dubai, there was still press lined up around the hotel. So I find it close to impossible to actually do that. I mean, it is what it is. This is what I asked for, and in this day and age that's what actually goes on. But what hurts me the most is that I work just as hard as any other actress around my age, like Scarlett Johansson, but I just don't get the opportunities that they get because people are so distracted by the mess that I created in my life. But that doesn't mean it's going to last forever."

Samantha's Mom Dishes on Her Relationship With Lindsay

Lindsay Lohan posed backstage with Samantha and Charlotte Ronson at Charlotte's fashion show in Tokyo earlier today. While she's overseas, lots of not-so-fun news is waiting for LL back in the states. She is being sued by the three men involved in her second DUI, and there are rumors that she's been flirting with Chace Crawford. Lindsay is staying out of the drama by staying close to the Ronson family as usual. Last night their mom, Ann Dexter-Jones, spoke about Samantha and Lindsay on the Chanel red carpet. Here's more:

On Sam's grounding influence on LL: "They are a cute couple. Samantha is very grounded, super smart, very grounded and very real. I just think if my daughter is happy I’m happy."
On their relationship being scrutinized by the public: "I think it makes it very hard for them. I think it’s hard for anybody. You can't - can’t you have a good old bonding with your other half, and nobody cares? I mean Samantha can handle it. It’s a concern - I’m naturally concerned. As a mother it takes the pleasure away if they get hounded. But it goes with the territory."
On her favorite moment spending time with LL and Sam: "Just kicking back. I’ve got a new apartment on 9th street, I just bought a new place. I have 3 chairs and a bed. [laughs] Waiting for the wrecking crew. So they just came over and hung out for hours sitting on these uncomfortable chairs. That means you are having a good time."

Lindsay and Sam are having fun and lucky to have such a loving support system in the entire Ronson family.

The Afterparties Don't Stop For the New Moon Crew and LL

The New Moon afterparty fun kicked off with a photo shoot and drinks for Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner, but the show soon moved over to Teddy's in Hollywood. It just so happened that Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson met up at the club at the same time that Kellan Lutz hopped out of his limo to head inside. He stopped to say hi to Samantha before having a little trouble entering the private Twilight area. Dakota Fanning flashed her big smile as she headed toward the bash, while Ashley Greene showed off her second dress of the evening. Robert Pattinson, meanwhile, smiled as he talked to reporters and played with a Bella doll. Kristen wasn't out to join the fun, but she was on The Tonight Show yesterday - check out her lengthy interview below!

LL Speaks About Prop 8 While Samantha Gets Jealous

Lindsay Lohan emailed away as she shopped for jewelry before meeting up with friends in LA yesterday. In a recent interview, Lindsay spoke about the election, her leggings line, and against Proposition 8 joining other celebrities who say it is an equal rights issue - watch the video below. LL has been talking about being happy in her relationship more lately, but the latest rumor is that Samantha made Lindsay pull out of hosting the World Music Awards because she was jealous of Jesse Metcalfe. We'll take this with a grain of salt since LL and Samantha seem happy as ever these days.

Lindsay Talks Life, Learning And Being A Lohan

November's Marie Claire cover star is Lindsay Lohan, and she's opened up to the magazine about her family, friends and the amazing amount of work (and headlines) she's managed to fit into her life so far. She also talks about the future and her opinion on the tabloid nickname LiLo - here's a few excerpts:

On her relationship with Samantha Ronson: "Um, people can think what they want, I’m really happy, and that’s all that matters. She’s a great person. But I think that anything that’s changed in my life is because of me. I’ve gone through it and I’ve had to deal with it and I’ve made the decision to move forward. So yeah, she’s a great person."
On her party girl past: "I've learned. I’ll never go back. And it’s not a never-say-never type thing, it’s just I know, I know. I knew so much at the age of twelve - I’d seen so much. So it’s surprising to me that I got into certain things that I got into, because I knew not to."
On being a star: "It’s a lot of pressure because everyone’s depending on you. And your mood when you go on set, everybody feels it. This business is very go go go. You’re constantly surrounded by people, then everything stops. So you kind of feel invalid in a weird way. And it can get depressing."

On her dad’s other daughter: "I don’t know what’s going on with it. I haven’t asked him any questions. Apparently, we’ve been in the dark for so many years we’ve gone through enough with him. Enough is enough. I’m shutting down communication with my dad for a bit until he decides to be a grown up."
On family life: "It’s always been up and down. Unpredictable. It was kind of just like whether my dad was gonna be there, what he would be like. We didn’t know what to expect from him, which was difficult."
On her stint in rehab: "It was like a vacation... because no one bothered me."
On children: "At some point, I want to adopt a kid as well. A child in need or a new born from another country. I’m not sure."
On her music career: "Obviously I want to sell records, but I do it because I find it therapeutic. In music I can be myself."
On being branded LiLo by the tabloids: "It’s weird, it’s like where do they get those things from? Whatever, it’s fine. I know my real name."

As she revealed to E! in this interview, she's working on a spray-tanning system to be sold at Sephora. She also talks about her latest tattoo ("It's, like, a women empowerment thing") and diamond jewelry collection. No word on when the tanning product will hit stores, but when it does, will you be buying it?
