Samantha Has a Bittersweet Serenade For Lindsay

Lindsay Lohan held on and followed Samantha Ronson out after a performance at a restaurant in LA last night. Samantha gave her DJ skills a rest, instead she showed off her talents as a singer/guitarist, which she formerly demonstrated on the Mean Girls soundtrack. This time, she dedicated a song to Lindsay saying, "You get your heart broken sometimes and then you unbreak it and break it again." The lyrics hit home in terms of describing their rocky relationship - check out video of her performance after the jump. While Samantha works on her music, LL is taking on spray tanning and possibly a new movie with Warren Beatty as the girls try to smooth out the bumps in their relationship.

Michael Lohan's Song to Lindsay

The Lowdown was sent a letter from Michael Lohan with a song to his dearly beloved daughter Lindsay. Michael said he wrote his song as a response to Lindsay's upcoming single where she talks about her family issues. His touching lyrics include:

I've given my all and done the time/Then only been slighted, that's the crime!/My dear my dear what will it take/For you to tell the truth, for goodness sake!

I loved and protected you, I was THERE through it all./I do admit, I did at times fall./But these things you know were due to "THEM"/The ones that want to have a piece of my gem!

My love, my life, my family to me/May be nothing to them, but surely you'll see./That the time will come when the truth comes out./All on its own, I have no doubt.

Lindsay Lohan made fun of herself in a parody dating advert for website Funny or Die, which the majority of you thought was really funny!
Jade Goody's widower Jack Tweed was jailed for twelve weeks for assaulting a taxi driver.

Lily Allen and Ellen DeGeneres' "Womanizer": Love or Hate It?

Lily Allen missed out on attending the Brit Awards on Wednesday night, but she had a pretty good alternative: performing a duet cover of Britney Spears's "Womanizer" for The Ellen Show's Ellen Bathroom Concert. Lily and Ellen kept straight faces as they started the song, but collapsed into fits of giggles by the end of the performance.

This duet is the latest highlight of Lily's publicity tour of North America, where she's been performing secret shows and appearing on TV shows. She's also been enjoying her free time in the US by hanging out with Lindsay Lohan and getting tattoos.

Lindsay Lohan was out in NYC yesterday after her big Monday night out at the launch of her 6126 collection and Madonna's premiere. She switched from her holey leggings into a plain black pair, though she was still sporting her Madonna-esque curls from the evening before. A hairstyle might not be the only thing LL and Madonna have in common for long, as Lindsay has pitched the idea of recording a song together. Madonna responded saying, "Yeah, sure, why not?" So while we haven't heard much about that new album in a while, maybe there's a future for LL's music career yet.

There's no such thing as a quiet week for Lindsay Lohan. Between the Dina mom of the year headlines and the story of her stealing some girl's fur coat from a party (she returned it) it's always hard to avoid the negative Lohan news of the day. Of course, it was no skin off LL's back as she spent her day around LA with Samantha Ronson. People's reception to Lindsay's new leaked song wasn't so hot, but maybe her guest stint on Ugly Betty will remind people how fun she can be on screen.
