Pretty lips are healthy lips, but most people deal with the occasional bout of chapped lips. When Chapstick isn't enough to smooth your lips, they simply need good exfoliation. You can use a warm, damp washcloth to scrub away dry skin, but when you're away from home, turn to a lip exfoliator to get rid of the flakies. I've compared two of my favorites, MAC Prep + Prime Microfine Lip Refinisher and Leaf and Rusher Tx Lips. A Quick Tip For Super Soft Lips

For a perfectly kissable pout, that no-one can resist – summer lips need more than your usual dose of lip gloss.

Regular, yet gently, exfoliating will ensure that your lips stay super soft and young-looking.

Here's how:

Use simple petroleum jelly and apply generously to the lips.
Next, take a wet washcloth and gently rub the lips, until all the jelly has disappeared, and your lips are dry.
For a rougher scrub, use an old toothbrush or a child's toothbrush that is soft. Gently rub over the lips in circular motions.
Once any white flakes have disappeared, and your lips are dry, but smooth looking – apply a good lip balm, such as Apples & Pears, (£10.50).

I will admit at first I was a little skeptical of a scrub for my lips, I was not sure I understood the necessity of such a thing. The more I read about it, however, the more intrigued I become. I mean, if you think about it, a lip gloss addict like me should naturally be attracted to this product. FACE: Begin with a clean, exfoliated face and apply an anti-redness moisturiser. Next, blend a makeup primer all over and let it soak in for about one minute. When you're finished, apply your foundation with a brush or a sponge for the most even coverage possible followed by concealer. Then, dust a translucent powder over your face to set the foundation and buff it out well with fluffy brush for a natural finish.
CHEEKS: All you need is a touch of colour on the cheeks so that you don't look washed out. I recommend a winter rose or a warm peach (nothing too apricot) lightly swept over the apples of your cheeks and along the cheekbones.
EYES: Drew is a Cover Girl, and talk about easy breezy eyes - this look is super simple to create! Begin by tweezing and filling in your brows, as they will serve as a frame for your face. Then, curl your lashes and apply two coats of black mascara (false lashes are optional). When it's dry, blend a shimmery cream or powder champagne shadow from your lash line to your crease and blend well - fini!
LIPS: Since lips are the focus of this look, they are going to take more time to pefect than usual. However, don't be intimidated by a bright colour. Begin by using a reverse lip liner just outside the rim of your lips so that the colour doesn't bleed. Then, fill your lips in with red lipliner, red lipstick (use a lip brush for precision) and if desired, top off the look with a clear or sheer red gloss!

DIY Spa Treatment: An Easy Lip Exfoliator

If Brad Pitt's favorite lip scrub is out of your financial reach, don't worry - you can banish chapped lips for a lot less scratch.

All you'll need is a teaspoon of olive oil, a teaspoon of honey, two teaspoons of white granulated sugar, and a dash of lemon juice. Mix these ingredients together to make a sugary paste. Then use your finger or a toothbrush to gently sweep the mixture back and forth on your lips. The result: Softer, smoother lips for not a lot of money.

Considering she recently said that she'd be happy to wear a bin bag on these last legs of her gruelling promotional tour, she sure does cleans up like a champ when the event calls for it. I love her classic and glamorous Hollywood look complete with retro waves, tanned, matte skin, lined and defined eyes and bold, red lips.

FACE: Begin with a clean, dry face. Next, apply a moisturiser and a foundation that matches your skin tone. Blend well and set the foundation with a translucent powder. Lastly, use a large fluffy brush to buff skin to a flawless finish.
EYES: Sienna's eyes are simple to achieve. Start by blending an ivory shadow from the base of your lashes all the way to your lid. Then use a light to medium brown shade in the crease for depth. Fill in brows, curl your lashes and apply two coats of black mascara. Once it's dry, line your eyes with a black, liquid liner starting from the inner corner all the way to the outer corner. Extend the line and make it just a tad thicker on the ends for a dramatic, cat-like effect.
CHEEKS: For a nice, golden glow, apply bronzer with or without shimmer to your nose, forehead, temples, jawline and blend well. Then, with a gentle hand, use a delicate, pale pink blusher on the apples of your cheeks and down the center of your nose for a touch of warmth.
LIPS: Last but not least are your lips. Since this is the feature you'll want to accentuate most, make sure they're exfoliated and moisturised. Using a lip brush, apply a deep, brick (browny-orangey) red lipstick all over. For an even more come hither effect, dab a little bit of clear high-shine gloss in the center of your lower lip.

Get Emma Watson's Harry Potter Premiere Makeup Look

Despite the torrential rains at last night's UK Harry Potter Premiere, Emma Watson glowed like a sparkling ray of sunshine. She stood under an over-sized translucent brolly wearing a vintage Ossie Clarke gown and minimal jewels. She was smart to wear her hair up (get her hairstyle here) to avoid frizz, however, her makeup remained in tact all evening long.

Whilst I only officially know that her makeup artist used Lancome Oscillation Mascara in Black Motion as a finishing touch (apparently Emma swears by it), I've studied her look and have drummed up product recommendations for you to re-create at home.

EYES: Apply a creamy pale beige shadow such as Gosh Waterproof Eye Shadow in Love That Champagne all over the lid. Then, using a tapered shadow brush, blend a deep pink shade such as i.d. bareMinerals Eye Shadow in Shantung to the crease. Next, line the top of your eyes only with something like Benefit Waterproof Bad Gal Liner in Black. When it's dry, apply two coats of mascara, fill in your brows and as a finally dab a little bit of white shimmer to the inner v of your eyes.

FACE: To get Emma's youthful glow, you won't want to choose a light base with minimal coverage. Begin by adding a little bit of concealer (in a shade that's a few shades lighter that your skin) under your eyes, around your nose. Use your index finger gently blend. Next, smooth a tinted moisturser all over your skin like Chantecaille Just Skin Tinted Moisturiser in Nude followed with light dusting of a matching loose powder to help set the foundation.

CHEEKS: Now it's glow time. For this particular look I encourage you to use a medium rose cream blusher (I like No7 Blush Tint Cream Blush in Blossom). Start at the apples of your cheeks and blend outwards towards your hairline. Next, apply a sheen enhancing product like MAC Strobe Cream just above your blusher, to the bridge of your nose, your chin and in the center of your forehead.

LIPS: Finally it's time to concentrate of your pout. Emma has matched her blusher to her lipstick which It creates a simple and youthful effect, especially in her creamy matte, pink colour choice. Make sure lips are exfoliated and with a brush apply a shade such as Clinique Long Lasting Lipstick in Soft Bloom all over.
