Liz Claiborne creative director Isaac Mizrahi has taken his girls back to the streets. For Spring it was Georgina Stojiljković in the city; for Fall it's Coco Rocha in the country. The Canadian model looks so royal, so mature in her long pleated plaid skirt and plaid shirt. I'm especially taken by the vibrant autumnal hues. And look: Coco's super-red hair sort of matches the roofs of the houses. Equally dazzling in color is the shot of Coco in a grocery store (below). What do you make of Liz Claiborne's Fall ads? Sometimes it's hard to find truly unique frocks that aren't obscenely expensive, but this Liz Claiborne Stretch Poplin Sack Dress ($39, originally $99) is the exception. Trust me, if they had my size, I'd be all over it. What's not to love? The bold persimmon hue is mesmerizing, the paperbag neckline is different, and the pockets are functional. What's also great is that you can dress it up with heels and dress it down with flats.

To say that Isaac Mizrahi has revitalized Liz Claiborne would be an understatement. The majority of you loved his Spring ad, so you'll fall head over heels for his Spring Look Book, too. The first thing it did for me was make me want to play around with color in an urgent way. Also, it made me realize the designer has the unique ability to make preppy and prissy look youthful and cool. Spring is a more lively season thanks to Isaac!

When Izaac Mizrahi announced he was leaving Target for Liz Claiborne, I wondered what kind of ad campaign he would concoct. Little did I know, he would put himself in the photos! Peep the designer sitting at the right corner in a neon head scarf, staring at model Georgina Stojiljković prancing by. The Spring collection is snappy, crisp, and so are the ads. I dig the juxtaposition between the urban setting and colorful, preppy clothes. Are you with me?

Sneak Peek! Isaac Mizrahi's First Claiborne Collection

It's been almost a year since Isaac Mizrahi announced his departure from Target for Liz Claiborne. Now, his debut collection for Claiborne is finally out and ready for perusal. The line is quintessential Isaac, designed in fresh colors and sporty cuts.

“[The clothes] look wonderful. It’s supposed to be snappy. I hate to use the word ‘grown-up,’ but it’s slightly more grown-up,” says Mizrahi. The vivid prints are a refreshing take on the mid-priced line, and I like how he experimented with different necklines. Definitely a change from Claiborne's past designs. The line hits department stores in February. Are you excited?

Fab Flash: Issac Mizrahi For Liz Claiborne Sketches Revealed

With his Target contract expiring at the end of the year, Isaac Mizrahi is getting ready to move on to the world of Liz Claiborne. The deal was sealed in January and Issac is now showing off his sporty collection filled with color and fresh cuts such as the safari-inspired designs, seen below.

In his debut collection for the brand, Mizrahi offers up a selection of pantsuits, trench coats, and complementing accessories made in vibrant hues. Essentially, the line includes Mizrahi signatures but on a more-tempered scale than in the past. With items ranging from $30 for a tee to $250 for outerwear, it's pricier than his collaboration with Target, but I'm willing to give it a try. The collection will hit the racks in January.

Fab Flash: DVF and LIz Claiborne Added to Fashion Walk of Fame

Two Belgian born designers were yesterday added to the New York Fashion Walk of Fame! Diane von Furstenberg and the late Liz Claiborne were honoured joining the likes of Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein and Bill Blass. DVF told Vogue, "I am very grateful to be recognised by the Fashion Walk of Fame and to be included with such an extraordinary group of fashion visionaries." Art Ortenberg, Liz Claiborne's former husband was there for his wife to acknowledge the honour. See below for images.

Ever since Tim Gunn joined Liz Claiborne, he's been facilitating a lot of shakeups. The latest? Poaching Isaac Mizrahi from Target to head up Liz Claiborne's women's line starting in Spring 2009. Claiborne is looking to Mizrahi to reinvigorate the languishing line with his color sensibilities and mainstream appeal.

The Isaac Mizrahi For Target collection, which has enjoyed a strong five-year run, will continue to be available at Target through the end of 2008. Buy it while it lasts!
