Exclusive! Leigh Lezark Dishes On Her Must Have Products!

The Spring 2010 Twenty8Twelve Fashion show was so much fun. Not only were the clothes amazing, but I was able to speak to Alexa Chung about her beauty secrets right after she and FabSugar UK talked fashion. And as if that's not enough, we also got to see Anna Wintour in the front row! But just you wait, because it gets even better. After the show, I even snagged a few seconds with DJ Leigh Lezark where we gabbed about her beauty product must-haves. To my surprise, the beautiful brunette was even more stunning up close and personal.

Her blue eyes were piercingly bright, outlined in heavy black liner and her hair was smooth, straight and perfectly in place. Here's the lowdown on what we talked about:

What's the one beaut product you can't live without? I'm obsessed with Charles Worthington Dream Hair Shine Finishing Spray . I love what it does to my hair.
What's your best kept beauty secret? I guess getting plenty of sleep and drinking lots and lots of water to stay hydrated.
What's your favourite beauty brand? Chanel. Definitely Chanel.

Exclusive! Few Fab Words with Paul Costelloe

Paul Costelloe has been opening London Fashion Week for six seasons and Spring 2010 was no exception. He began proceedings with an architectural inspired collection with futuristic shapes. After the show, BellaSugar UK and I went backstage to catch up with the man himself where it was a very family affair! At least three of Paul's six sons were proudly chatting backstage whilst their father charmed the press.

Exclusive! Few Fab Words with William Tempest

Last week at London Fashion Week, I was milling around backstage with BellaSugar UK who was getting the scoop on the hair looks for the William Tempest show when I bumped in to the man himself. I grabbed him for a quick chat about his latest collection and was pleasantly surprised to find him acting calm and looking very together.

The young designer missed out on Fashion Fringe in 2008, but did manage to bag himself a Vauxhall Fashion Scout sponsorship ensuring him a place on the schedule for three seasons. The Cheshire born designer studied at London College of Fashion and despite only graduating two years ago has already won critical acclaim from The Telegraph's Hilary Alexander and Vogue's Dolly Jones.

He spoke to me about Emma Watson, his Spring inspiration, and influential designers. To hear what he had to say, just read more.

You seem very calm
Yes, very calm. Well, we were casting all day yesterday so their outfits are sorted and everything.
What has been your inspiration for Spring 2010?
It’s been very Bond inspired and I was also looking at the Crazy Horse in Paris (the burlesque show). So I went to Las Vegas and took photographs of the dancing ladies and that inspired the print for this season. I also looked at 1940’s underwear advertising.
Do you have a favourite piece from the collection?
It’s probably the first look which is like a peach satin corseted bunny suit which is playful and there’s a lot of ribbon detailing. It’s kind of like a ribbon of fabric which sticks out from the body to create shape and different pockets on the body.
You've gained celebrity support from Emma Watson who wore one of your designs to The Tale of Despereaux premiere. Did you know she was going to wear the dress?
Yeah, Emma’s got quite a few pieces from me and I got a text just before she was on the red carpet saying she was going to wear it. It was really exciting and a big moment for me, I mean, the press after that just went insane. I think it’s really good because Emma’s young, and I’m young and it’s nice that we can kind of support each other.
Is there anybody that you would like to dress that you haven’t yet?
Yeah I would love to dress Dita von Teese. She actually has some of the pieces from the last collection, but I’d love to work with her again. I’d also like to dress Cate Blanchett and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld.
Have any other designers past or present influenced you?
I really like Claude Montana and Thierry Mugler so maybe slightly inspired by those. I also really like the brand of Chanel and admire the drive and ambition of Gabrielle Chanel. I find that very inspiring.
Have you started thinking about Autumn 2010 yet?
Well, I’m going to Dubai tomorrow and then I’m going to Paris to sell the collection so it’s going to be a bit hectic. Hopefully I will get some time in Dubai to start thinking about the next collection.

Which Nicola Roberts LFW Look is the Most Fab?

Nicola has long been my favourite member of Girls Aloud and has made an appearance at the last few seasons of London Fashion Week. This September, she was spotted at many parties and shows as she showed off her own individual style. On Sunday I saw her at the Topshop Unique show, she sat front row at Vivienne Westwood and then PopSugarUK and I spotted her at the Mulberry party. She was also seen at the ShowStudio event and the 30 Days of Fashion and Beauty party. Out of these five ensembles, which do you think is the most fab?

FABTV: Backstage at Topshop Unique

The Topshop Unique Spring show was one of the highlights for me. The collection was sportswear inspired with a '90s edge and plenty of grungey touches. Our friends over at Handbag.com went backstage before the show to find out about the inspiration behind the collection. They also met some of the models and the A list front row to discuss their thoughts on the High Street giant.

London Fashion Week, Spring 2010: Jasmine di Milo

Jasmine di Milo opted for a presentation at London Fashion Week in one of the wings of Somerset House. The designer presented a gorgeous array of dresses in a small space allowing everybody to see the beautiful fabrics and the intricate details. There were soft leathers in rich colours and nude pieces with corset detailing. There were hook and eyes throughout the collection including on a pair of twisted seam trousers.

Backstage Pass To LFW Spring 2010: Ones To Watch

What makes the Ones To Watch so show special is that different blossoming designers come together (it's much more economical) to showcase their latest creations. On Monday evening, Ada Zanditon, Dean Quin, Hermione de Paula and Marko Mitanowski brought down the house in four sections. The challenge for makeup artist Rachel Wood was to "come up with a neutral look that could be easily added to and changed for each designer." She used makeup by Benefit Cosmetics to create a glowy, ultrapale base and lots of mascara for a dramatic eye.

Hair was a totally different bag of beans. I've chosen to hone in on the Marko Mitanowski show in particular because of its theatrical and uniqueness. Tim Furssedonn, the mane man (hee hee) behind this look for Toni & Guy was inspired by deer and unicorn to create antlers on each of the models. Lots of prep work was required beforehand to achieve this hair and it can be considered both an arts and crafts and beauty project to achieve this look - how fun!

To find out how you can re-create this amazing antler hair at home on your own, read more.

STEP 1: Apply mousse all over the hair to build texture. Tim used label. m Volume Mousse. Once it's distributed, blow dry hair and backcomb using label. m Hairspray.
STEP 2: Divide hair into two triangle sections to create a centre part. Then attach the antlers with an Alice band and spread the extensions around the antlers. Note, the antlers have been crafted prior to the show with paper mache, padding and wire.
STEP 3: Because (in step 2) hair was back-combed to help build volume, now you can use that pouffiness to mask where the pieces are attached.
STEP 4: Lastly, attach the separate and small plaits in the front of the hair and secure with bobby pins. When you're finished, mist the entire head with label. m Hairspray.

London Fashion Week, Spring 2010: Erdem

Erdem Moralioglu is one of London's hottest names to watch right now, which is why Anna Wintour was sat front row at his Spring 2010 show. He created a line of bright coloured floral print frocks with 3D images. There were capped sleeves, ruffled tiers and lace detailing adding to the pieces. Erdem explained how he wanted to move away from his previous style, "I really didn't want anything blurred this season." He also added that the collection was roughly based on Japanese girls in the twenties adding, "Although, I never really do theme. I always think it should just be like reading the next chapter of the same book." Indeed, this season Erdem succeeded in creating a new look which felt fresh and showed off his design talent.

London Fashion Week, Spring 2010: Temperley London

Alice Temperley took inspiration from the circus for Spring 2010. The collection, like last season, was shown as a presentation rather than a catwalk show (which you can see below). She looked at all aspects from the tattooed lady, to trapeze artists to the ring master and these are all represented throughout. Examples include top hats, tailed jackets, and tattooed dresses. The first ever Temperley footwear line is being launched for Spring with studded gladiator sandals, flat jazz pumps and killer heels.
