Jennifer Lopez is hard at work rehearsing her performance for the American Music Awards this Sunday. We'll be there covering the red carpet and big show, but here's a sneak peek at what to expect from J Lo. She'll be singing her new track, "Louboutins," wearing - what else? - a pair of Christian Louboutins designed especially for her.

Christian Louboutin Thinks Barbie Has Cankles

I feel bad for Barbie. After enduring decades of criticism for being too thin and having not of this world proportions, legendary shoe designer Christian Louboutin says Barbie's cankles just won't do for his red-soled masterpieces.

Louboutin is the latest in a line of high-fashion designers to makeover the iconic doll. He's created three head-to-toe looks for her, which even includes a mini Louboutin shoe box. Apparently Louboutin found Barbie's ankles "too fat" and asked her parent company Mattel that she get some work done. It's unknown at this time if Mattel will comply in slimming down the doll's ankles for the designer. The Louboutin edition Barbies are slated to be released early next year.

Louboutin is not the first designer to think skinny is just not skinny enough: model Filippa Hamilton's size 8 body was digitally retouched in a Ralph Lauren ad campaign. The Photoshopped picture shows an extra large head looming over a stick of a body. Ironically this image looks a lot like what Barbie's body would if she was a real woman.

The fashion industry and Barbie have long been cited for making women feel inadequate about their bodies. With this extra slicing and dicing from designers it sounds like this issue is nowhere close to being gone.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't impressed to see a heavily pregnant Coleen Rooney tottering about on sky high Christian Louboutin's last week. She is due to give birth this month, but she isn't letting that stop her work her designer wardrobe which includes a Louis Vuitton scarf. Would you, or have you, worn high heels when pregnant?

Christian Louboutin Champagne: Love It or Hate It?

From logo lollipops to stylish cupcakes, the merging of fashion and food isn't new. What I haven't seen, however, is a Champagne glass shaped like a shoe! Designed by famed shoe maker Christian Louboutin, this glass slipper was created to coincide with the launch of the brand's own Champagne. In partnership with Piper Heidsieck, the bubbly and shoe are available for a limited time at Colette in Paris, starting Oct. 26. I think both the bottle and glass are incredibly sexy and would love to get my hands on the set! How about you?

On Our Radar: Christian Louboutin Handbags

The man who some would argue makes the sexiest (and most covetable) red-soled shoes on earth is now foraying into handbags, because he "had a lot of customers ask [him] for bags to go with specific shoes." Well, la de da! New York Magazine put together a brief video interview with Mr. Louboutin which previews some of his bags - lots of clutches, mostly in black, some sequined, some satin fuchsia, and one furry green number all come into view.

Bergdorf already has a couple of Louboutin handbags for sale, but I would venture to say that it would be better to wait until the bags he was previewing come out - they're way hotter!

Beauty Byte: The Louboutin Manicure

I'm not usually a fan of so-called nail art, but this is just the coolest! A London-based manicurist named Zoe Pocock has created a "Louboutin manicure" based on the iconic look of Christian Louboutin shoes.

Like the famously red-soled designer heels, Pocock's manicure features a red-painted underside on the nail. According to the May issue of WWD Beauty Biz, the artist, who works at Charles Worthington salon, has also invented other fashion-inspired looks. Pocock has created a crocodile-textured manicure inspired by Mulberry bags and whipped up a finish using cocoa powder that looks like suede. How adorably clever.
