Madonna Has a Girls Night While Mercy's Dad Speaks Out
Madonna headed out to dinner at Cecconi's in London last night with her friend Stella McCartney, who helped console the heartbroken singer. Madonna's failed adoption of 3-year-old Mercy in Malawi last week must still be a bit of a shock, though she already has the support of loved ones like Guy Richie. Now seemingly out of nowhere, Mercy's young biological father emerged saying he didn't know his daughter was alive and that he wants to support her.
Madonna Would Rather Be Hit by a Train Than Marry Again
Madonna arrived at The Late Show yesterday with a smile, waving to the crowd assembled outside of Ed Sullivan Theater in NYC. She joked with Dave about all of her exes, referring to her marriage to Guy Ritchie as "the Bush years" and teasing Letterman for his A-Rod and Palin's daughter bit that Madonna said almost got him "arrested." When Dave asked the singer if she'd ever remarry, she replied, "I think I'd rather get run over by a train," putting to rest the wedding rumors for her and Jesus Luz.

Madonna's "Celebration" Video With Jesus and Lourdes — So Hot or So Blah?
Madonna's greatest hits album is coming soon, and here's the video for her first single, "Celebration." Most of you were loving the song when it came out, and after getting a taste of the video last week here's the entire thing, which is available for free download on iTunes until Sept. 3.

Mercy Fits Right Into Madonna and Guy's London Life
Madonna gave her daughter Mercy a piggyback ride out of London's Kabbalah center on Saturday. Mercy already had a little red string on her wrist for services with her new siblings and Guy Ritchie after a week of fun times with their family. As she gets used to life with Madonna, her grandmother back in Malawi has spoken out about missing her.
Madonna Wins Adoption Appeal For Mercy
Madonna's adoption appeal for Mercy James was approved early this morning by Malawi's Supreme Court. The judge ruled that her initial denial by the lower court was based on an old law, and that although she hasn't lived in the country for 18 months the court should have taken her philanthropic efforts in the community into account.
Madonna's lawyer said she was "ecstatic" when she heard the news that the adoption was finalized.
Madonna's Adding Another Mini-Travel Buddy to Her Group
Madonna flew into London earlier today with Lourdes, Rocco, and David by her side. Now that Mercy's adoption has been finalized, the family is getting ready for their new addition. The singer's already making preparations for her second daughter, apparently asking Gwyneth Paltrow to design the little girl's room while fashionista Lourdes picks out clothes for her little sister.
Stella's Still There For Generous Madonna
Having dined together on Monday, Madonna and Stella McCartney met up again last night for a meal at Assaggi in Notting Hill. I'm sure Madonna's glad of her pal's support, as Mercy's father has come forward saying he wants to support his daughter and didn't know she was alive. Even though she has a lot to deal with, Madonna's still trying to help others, and has responded to the mayor of Pacentro's plea with a "substantial donation" to the victims of the earthquake in Italy.
