Cult Beauty's Alexia Inge Shares Spring Beauty Must-Haves

I'm a huge fan Cult Beauty. The company was launched by self-confessed beauty geek Alexia Inge in 2008 and has since built a fabulous reputation for its edit of unbeatable beauty products, frank advice, and flurry of unusual independent brands.

It's always ahead of the curve in terms of the latest beauty innovations, too. This week, I managed to catch up with Alexia to talk about her favourite new products for Spring. To find out what she said, just read more.

At Home facial by Ling Skin Care (£85): Alexia explained, "Ling is the go-to New York facialist for everyone from Uma Thurman, to Naomi Campbell, Cameron Diaz, Agnyess Deyn, Gisele Bundchen, and Madonna. She is extremely good at sorting out problem skin. She just put together an At Home Home version of her signature facial that she uses on these guys and it rocks! Ling is all about mixing learnings from East and West. No fancy machines, it's all in the fingers which is why the home kit works so well."

Neil George Hair Care Collection (£16-32): "Think of any Hollywood starlet, and chances are they go to Neil George," says Alexia. "The brand was founded in 2005 by Amanda George and Neil Weisberg and is known for using indian gooseberry in products to make hair healthier, stimulate its growth and support hair follicles. They just launched in the U.K. and we have a capsule range. The team love it!"

Face Atelier Ultra Foundation (£32): "This foundation kicks butt. It's the best I've tried so far. We found it through our American expert panel. The foundation is a unique blend of silicones that builds a lightweight, breathable second skin effectively airbrushing your complexion," says Alexia. "It comes in 10 water resistant shades that really don't shift. Another genius aspect is that you can also buy a Zero Plus and a Zero Minus shade in order to fine tune your foundation to perfectly match your complexion, adapting as your skin pales in the winter and tans in the summer, without having to keep buying new shades."

Kaplan MD Lip 20 (£22.50): "We just launched this lip treatment and our customers have gone absolutely NUTS for it. We sold out 3 times already!" says Alexia. "The dermatologist-developed lip treatment is designed to moisturise, plump, contour and protect with SPF 20– all in one! Celebrities love it too. I heard Kate Beckinsale, Sienna Miller and Natalie Portman are all fans."

Blinc Brow Mouse (£16.50): "It's rare to find innovation in eyebrow makeup, which is why we were excited to find this eyebrow product. It's the best we've found so far." says Alexia.

Madonna was spotted leaving dinner in London on Wednesday night while yesterday the world lost an icon and someone close to her heart. As we looked back on Michael Jackson's extraordinary life, Madonna was a prominent player, and she released her sad statement yesterday. She said, "I can't stop crying over the sad news. I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever! My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless." Madonna's manager Guy Oseary also twittered about her former desires to join Michael Jackson on stage in London next month, though sadly those dates will only live in their fans' imaginations.

Madonna's friendship with Dolce and Gabbana is going from strength to strength. The singer starred in a much talked about campaign last season for the Italian duo and has now bagged another, this time for eyewear. This Summer, Madonna has codesigned six pairs of sunglasses bearing the logo MDG and stars in the supporting campaign. Stefano Gabbana told WWD, “We’re so excited. This further strengthens our relationship with Madonna, and it was a very constructive experience for us. [Madonna] is very exacting and a professional who seeks perfection in everything she does, and this was no exception.”

Demi, Ashton, and Rachel Zoe Are All About Playing Games

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore kicked off their Oscar weekend in LA last night at the Hollywood Domino and Artists for Peace and Justice charity event. Fresh off his trip to Russia, Ashton escorted Demi down the red carpet, and while the two won't be at Sunday's show, she and Madonna are once again hosting their 3rd annual Oscar party. AnnaLynne McCord was also in attendance but, unlike Demi, she didn't have a date to the party, although we did see her sharing a romantic dinner with Twilight's Kellan Lutz earlier this week. Rachel Zoe has a marathon weekend ahead of her as we continue to count down to the Oscars; she's styled many winners and presenters in the past - even a few of the most iconic gowns of all time.

Nine Brings Many Out For a Star-Studded NYC Premiere!

The red carpet premiere of Nine in New York last night finally brought together virtually all the stars of the film. Fergie and Marion Cotillard contrasted their luscious brunette hair with white dresses in the chilly Winter night. Penelope Cruz matched the carpet in her deep red, though she didn't have her traveling partner and sexy couple companion Javier Bardem as her date. Nicole Kidman was busting out of her black strapless gown and Kate Hudson dazzled in her short in the front, long in the back frock. Amid persisting rumors of a split from Alex Rodriguez, Kate brought her mother Goldie Hawn to the event for their second night together.

Kate and her mom posed with Daniel Day-Lewis, but the stars of the movie weren't the only ones out to celebrate the musical. In fact, another woman who used to be very close to A-Rod, Madonna, brought a very adult looking Lourdes on the red carpet. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were side-by-side, with Ash carrying her amazing Hermes bag - enter to win a Birkin here! Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer were decked out and Naomi Watts rolled solo as they checked out the Golden Globe nominated performances and film.

Shirtless Gerard Butler: Sexy Sexy or Just So So?

Gerard Butler kept the party going in Rio, hanging out with Madonna and Rodrigo Santoro at the Sambadrome, and then strolling with a bikini-clad Nicole Scherzinger and getting shirtless himself on the beach yesterday. We spotted Gerard flirting on Valentine's Day and he's continuing to surround himself with beautiful women, so perhaps his holiday with Jennifer Aniston was purely platonic. He's toned up since his holiday at New Year and I'd love to know what you make of Gerard's physique, so vote to let me know: is he sexy sexy or just so so?

Madonna Takes Lourdes To Celeb Packed Nine NY Premiere

The Nine cast were out in force in New York last night after their fantastic Golden Globe nominations news! The movie premiered in NYC last night and attracted big name guests like Nicole Kidman's best friend Naomi Watts, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Tobey Maguire, and Madonna brought her daughter Lourdes to watch the movie too!

Penelope Cruz looked stunning in her bright red gown, Judi Dench was understated in a long black dress and elegant scarf, while Kate Hudson brought her mum Goldie Hawn to the screening and they greeted Daniel Day Lewis on the red carpet! Marion Cotillard and Fergie both wore white, while Nicole wore a short black dress to the screening - needless to say, all the women looked gorgeous. FabUK wants you to vote for your favourite look!
