Madonna enjoyed dinner with her friend Stella McCartney last night in London, and the two were giggling as they left the restaurant Locanda Locatelli. We may be seeing Madonna on the next series of The X Factor as she's apparently one of a few artists being approached to perform and mentor in this year's show - how exciting! Robbie Williams, Lady GaGa, Rihanna and a return by Beyonce are also apparently on Simon Cowell's wish list. Would you like to see Madonna on The X Factor? Let me know!

Madonna and Gwyneth Are Gym Buddies

We're used to seeing Madonna leaving her personal gym, but yesterday the superstar showed she could share by emerging with Gwyneth Paltrow in tow. The pair had enjoyed (or should that be endured?) a workout with personal trainer Tracy Anderson. Madonna certainly works herself hard, but we found out earlier in the month that she's partial to the odd creme egg too! We also learned about Gwyneth's eating preferences last week, when she spoke about her love of Spanish food. It's good to know these ladies allow the good stuff in their lives, to balance all that hard work.

Katie Denies Pregnancy Rumours as Alex Speaks of His Love

Katie Price arrived back at Gatwick Airport yesterday kitted out in her riding gear, holding hands with Alex Reid. While the couple spent the weekend in Spain, allegations Alex was starring in a porn film surfaced, and now there are rumours Kate is pregnant and getting married, which she has already denied on Twitter. Kate's also defended kissing Alex in front of her children, writing in her OK! column: "I don’t know why people made such a big deal about me spending such a beautiful day in the park with Alex, the kids, mum and friends. Madonna and Kate Moss snog their men in front of their kids and aren’t criticised for it – it’s not like I’m with a different guy every week, I’m in a relationship!" She added that, having watched Peter Andre's documentary, "he didn’t seem to be in the right state of mind to film". Pete's certainly not in a great state of mind at the moment, telling New! magazine: "I’ve had a couple of really bad days in the last week or so". New! has also interviewed Alex - here are the highlights:

On children: "I love kids. And I’m really happy with Katie’s family situation. I love everything about Katie. When we were in the park the other day – me and the kids – that wasn’t contrived and we just wanted to get rid of the photographers. We just want to be a normal couple."
On marriage: "We want to grow together. I’m living every moment and enjoy what’s going on right now, and who knows what the future holds? I mean, we really get on. Amazing. Who knows? The way we’re going, the world’s our oyster. I hope we do have a future! I don’t want to add any fuel to the fire by saying we are getting married, but I’m enjoying every minute. I hope we have a good, long future together."
On love: "I have told her I love her pretty much every day since we met. And about 50 million times a day. I’ve never felt like this. Ever. And I’ve never felt more comfortable and ready for this relationship."
On bickering: "What couples don’t bicker? Forget about the fame and celebrity bulls**t. We’re just a man and a woman and of course we’re going to bicker. But we get on much more than we bicker. In terms of bickering, there might be a bit of, 'You look good in this, you don’t look good in that.' But that’s it."

On Jordan vs Katie: "I love everything about her – the good, the bad and the ugly. To be honest, there’s no difference between Katie and Jordan. I see her as one person. There is a private person and a work-mode person, but I see them as one person, although I can see a subtle change. I love them both."
On suggestions he's with Kate for the money: "I’ve been doing acting, modelling, fighting all my adult life. I wasn’t even aware of how much being with Katie could help me. And it has. I understand that my stock’s gone up. But the last thing I want to be is “Katie Price’s boyfriend Alex Reid”. I can’t look a gift horse in the mouth, as because of my relationship with Katie, a lot more doors are going to open. But I’m going to show them that I’m a good guy and I’ve got my own aspirations and ambitions, and will achieve it all on my own."
On future plans: "Katie and I are going to do lots of fun stuff together. We’re both adventurous and there’s so much to do on this planet. Later this year, we’re both doing the New York marathon together. Katie’s done a marathon before, but I haven’t. I’m doing that with her. But then I’m going to show her things she hasn’t seen before. I’d love to take her to do kung fu in the beautiful mountains of Wudang in China."

I just can't keep up my poker face as I look at these photos of Lady Gaga - talk about X marks the spot! The eclectic singer was seen in Cork, Ireland signing autographs for her fans wearing a mesh flesh top, braces and black, high waisted pants. Now Cheryl Cole had material to hide her headlights, but Lady Gaga just used electrical tape to cover up. I think this look gives off a racy, Madonna style vibe. It's not something I'd wear, but if there's anyone who can get away with pushing boundaries, it's Lady G! What do you use as nipples covers?

Madonna and Kate Join Prince Harry During His NYC Tour

Prince Harry spent the weekend on official duties in New York City, paying his respects at Ground Zero, planting a tree at the British Garden at Hanover Square, playing with the kids at Harlem Children's Zone, and taking part in a charity polo match. A whole host of celebrities turned up for the Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic on Governor's Island, including LL Cool J, Madonna, Marc Jacobs, Chole Sevigny and a newly brunette Kate Hudson. My girl Bella UK wants to know do you prefer Kate as a blonde or brunette? Prince Harry's Sentebale team beat Blackwatch 6-5 and he celebrated with champagne before giving a lengthy interview:

On living with William: "He does most of the cooking. I spend time just lying around, watching TV and doing my work."
On his RAF training: "There’s times when I thought, you know, I’m not really cut out for this mentally. I hope I’ve got the physical skills to fly a helicopter. But mentally, there are exams and everything. I mean, I can’t do maths. I gave that up when I left school, as anyone does at that age. But I’ve been throwing myself back in the deep end."
On his mother's legacy: "Prince Seeiso and I both lost our mothers when we were young. We set up Sentebale in their memory. Sentebale is the Lesotho word for the flower forget-me-not. This beautiful kingdom has been ravaged by HIV/AIDS and poverty, leaving thousands of children without parents to look after them. We hoped to create a charity that would transform children's lives, giving them a sense of hope and security. We really do believe that Sentebale is doing this."

It's great to see Harry getting so involved with such good causes.

Stella's Still There For Generous Madonna

Having dined together on Monday, Madonna and Stella McCartney met up again last night for a meal at Assaggi in Notting Hill. I'm sure Madonna's glad of her pal's support, as Mercy's father has come forward saying he wants to support his daughter and didn't know she was alive. Even though she has a lot to deal with, Madonna's still trying to help others, and has responded to the mayor of Pacentro's plea with a "substantial donation" to the victims of the earthquake in Italy. Although her publicist Liz Rosenberg did not confim the amount, a source claims it's around $500,000, and Madonna has said: "I am happy to lend a helping hand to the town that my ancestors are from. My heart goes out to the families that have lost loved ones or their homes." Madonna's past, present and future family is certainly at the front of her mind.

Biggest Headlines of 2008: Madonna's Divorce

As part of our look back at 2008, we're recalling the biggest headlines of the year. We hope you enjoy joining us as we remember those stories that hit the headlines in a big way. We'll reveal more throughout December, so stay tuned.

When Madonna and Guy Ritchie announced they were getting divorced in October, it followed months of speculation. Way back in March rumours suggested their marriage was rocky, but Madonna's rep Liz Rosenberg released a statement saying they "remain happily married... All is well and wonderful in the Ritchie household". They continued with their show of solidarity over the summer, attending Cannes Film Festival in May, and being spotted at the London Kabbalah Centre together in June.

By the end of June, however, The Mirror claimed a world exclusive with the news Madonna had asked Guy for a divorce. More fuel was added to the claim when Guy was spotted in New York just a few days later without his wedding ring. However, Liz Rosenberg once again issued a statement saying the rumours were false. Just one week later Madonna herself released a statement denying rumours she was having an affair with New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez and was divorcing Guy.

Come August it was birthday time, with the couple celebrating Madonna's 50th with a group of friends in London. She then joined Guy on the red carpet for RocknRolla's world premiere in London in September, and the couple celebrated Guy's 40th together the following week at his pub, The Punch Bowl. However, the bubble burst just days later, when The Sun broke the news and within hours Liz Rosenberg made the official announcement that Madonna and Guy were to divorce.

Once it was made official, rumours continued about the details of the divorce. It was reported that Madonna decided to end her marriage because Guy refused to spend more time in New York, shunned her love of Kabbalah, failed to support her emotionally over child adoption plans, and put his London pub before his family. Contradictory reports came out about whether or not Guy was looking to receive any of Madonna's fortune, and there were suggestions he had signed a "behaviour contract" in an attempt to save their relationship.

Then rumours of new partners started to emerge, with Guy being linked with Sherlock Holmes actress Kelly Reilly, and Madonna continually facing rumours about her relationship with Alex Rodriguez. By the end of November they were granted a quickie divorce, but the rumours have continued right in to this week, with reports that Madonna will give Guy £32million in a divorce pay-off. It looks like this divorce will continue to hit the headlines well into 2009...
