Leigh Lezark, Diane Kruger and Blake Lively were among the guests at the Chanel Fete d'Hiver benefit in New York last night, all looking stunning in their gowns. The blonde Gossip Girl star is on the front of a couple of magazines at the moment, in Nylon she's looking funky in checks, and on the US Marie Claire cover she's showing some skin! Here's some extracts from her interview:

On acting:"As a character, I get to be this wild, outgoing person that I’m so not. I think it all comes from being the youngest of five. I was always observing my siblings and hearing stories about their lives that turned out to to be helpful as an actress."
On growing up and fashion: "Living in New York, I feel stronger and more like a woman than ever before. In high school, it was like, what power do I have - I have long blonde hair, you know? But working as hard as I do now, I feel a sense of power and respect, too. And I’ve learned an incredible amount about fashion on Gossip Girl. Clothes are a personal expression, and my style is as ever-changing as I am: I’m growing, maturing, developing, I’m going through new things in my life, and with that, what I choose to wear changes."

Nicole Kidman's Candid About Sexual Fetish and Tom Cruise

Nicole Kidman has given a frank interview to British GQ for their December issue, and posed in lingerie for the accompanying photo shoot. While yesterday's rumours about her teaming up with Robert Pattinson for Bel Ami have been quickly denied, Nicole did tell the magazine about her relationships with other men. She reveals her penchant for sexual fetish, opens up about Tom Cruise, and speaks about the challenges of marriage. Here are the highlights:

On Tom Cruise: "I became famous very young. I became very famous because I was the wife of somebody. I did a lot of good, worthwhile work in Australia between the ages of 14 and 19 and then I married someone famous... I know my agents at the time were like, 'Do not get married! It will ruin your career!' And I was like, 'But I’m in love!' All I know is that I wasn’t someone interested in fame. And that’s not why I got married."
On her explorations in love and sex: "My life has been about exploring types of love. I’ve explored obsession, I’ve explored loss and love in terms of being in a grief-stricken place, I’ve explored strange sexual fetish stuff, I’ve explored the mundane aspect of marriage, and monogamy. But I’m still on that journey."
On Keith Urban's problems with drugs and alcohol: "I don’t talk about that. That’s the sanctity of our marriage. Our relationship is pretty much off bounds and we really don’t discuss it except to say we’re very together. And you know, you work on it. It’s a very adventurous, extraordinary place to be: incredibly raw, incredibly dangerous and you’re very much out at sea. You’re exposed. You could drown. When you commit to someone like that you live and die together by that decision."

On the state of her relationship with Tom during Eyes Wide Shut: "[W]e were pretty happily married throughout that period. People will always watch the movie in hindsight and go, ‘Oh no, that must be where it all went wrong.’ I don’t want to say whether anything is or isn’t true any more. Listen, people can mythologise and think what they want, and that’s where it begins and ends for me. The rest of it is information. Some of it is isinformation. And some of it isn’t. I don’t care now at this stage in my life to refute rumours, or confirm them... We’ll see where it takes me and where it ends up but, right now, I quite like that abandoned feeling."
On refusing to talk about Tom and Scientology: "I want to honour that marriage for what it was, and there is nothing I would go into about that. I have never discussed the intricacies of it and I never will."
On filming Nine after giving birth to Sunday: "I'd just given birth, so i was like, 'OK, I'm [still] a woman – I want to do this film! And I do have a life other than simply feeding this baby.' I think when you give birth you get itchy to get back to work and you want to feel life still goes on."
On what she wants from her career: "I make films that aren’t everybody’s cup of tea, I realise that. I get it. But that’s where i am. if I were a painter I certainly wouldn’t be painting for the masses. And I’m unwavering on this. I want to take risks. I want excitement, danger and uncertainty."
On not choosing the safe option: "I have a career where I have had to weather the storms. It’s become second nature to me. I’m used to my roles and the movies I’m in being criticised. I seek it out. In my life i do not seek out a safe place. I like existing in an uncomfortable place artistically. People can believe this or not, but in the end I hope my life will be a mix of extreme love and bold artistic choices. I’ve never wanted to be safe. I’ve never chosen safe relationships. And I’ve never chosen safe films. I would have had a much easier life if I did."

Kate Hudson Gets Candid About Men and Botox in Elle

Kate Hudson is looking super fit and toned as she stars on the front cover of December's issue of Elle magazine! She talked to them exclusively about a range of subjects from her upbringing, to her rumoured engagement and her thoughts on cosmetic surgery. Here's some extracts from her interview:

On boys: "I sometimes feel like when you’re talking to boys, they just hear certain keywords. But if you had a bubble above their head, they’d be thinking about game scores, masturbation and food... I love boys, but I believe they’re really simple. Every guy likes to say that they’re complicated, but they’re so easy to figure out. What did that Dr Laura say? Something like, 'All men want is sex and for you to make them a sandwich.' I thought that was really funny – and not entirely untrue."
On her rumoured engagement to Alex Rodriguez: "Did you know that it was this one [ring], on my right hand? I hear about this and I’m like, 'Why would I even respond? What would I say if you’re going to lie about something ridiculous?' And if you really did your job, you’d look at the pictures taken that day and realise it was on my right hand."
On cosmetic surgery: "I was in a press conference once, and someone says, 'So, I can tell you’ve never had Botox!' Is that a compliment? Or are you trying to say I’m starting to get wrinkles? I literally was like, 'What?' Everyone’s so obsessed with who gets Botox, but it’s great! Are you kidding? The fact that women can avoid going under the knife, and get a little Botox treat and not have to worry about it? I’m glad it’s there for when it’s time."

That’s just our nature. You get a group of women together and, somehow, we keep it together. I love that we can be that powerful, as a group. Men, you know, it’s survival of the fittest."

Esquire's December Issue Will Feature Augmented Reality

The December issue of Esquire magazine has a little geeky extra built right in. It features augmented reality technology on its cover and several inside pages, meaning that when you hold those pages up to a webcam, they'll "come alive" in 3D, with flying text and images.

Esquire teases the feature on their cover, calling it a "Living, breathing, moving, talking magazine." It's not the magazine's first geeky cover; for their 75th anniversary issue, they featured a blinking cover using e-ink. While the augmented reality concept isn't new, it's a first for magazines, and I think it's a pretty cool update to a traditional print medium. The augmented reality issue will be available at newsstands on Nov. 9.

Victoria Beckham Reveals Solo Career Was a Mistake

Victoria Beckham posed in lingerie for Harper's Bazaar's special double cover December issue. While she was showing off her more relaxed curls at a basketball match with the family at the weekend, Victoria wears her hair in a tight top knot hairstyle for the 16 page spread by Alexi Lubomirski. FabUK has the lowdown on what Victoria said about her customers and her nerves and I've got extracts from her interview about her solo career, her future, Emma Watson, her exercise regime and the importance of positive thinking. Here are the highlights:

On her solo career: "People never believed the solo singing career, and it wasn’t the real me – I was a little bit lost at the time. I don’t mind making mistakes. I just can’t live with anyone else’s mistakes. I’m a complete control freak. I’m not the easiest person to work with because I’m so passionate and being a working mum, it’s a balancing act."
On her future as a fashion designer: "I just want to learn as much as I can. I was always pushed into the theatre and dance – it’s just taken me a long time to figure out what I wanted to do."
On why Emma Watson caught her eye: "So sweet, so true to herself…. There are so many young girls wearing too much make-up, too much hairspray – I find that very dated."
On positive thinking: "If you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will."
On why her exercise regime is so important: "I didn’t want to rely on retouching …. I wanted to look at those pictures in 20 years’ time and say, 'Wow, look – after three kids – I didn’t look bad.'"

Samantha Burke Shares Jude Views and First Pics of Sophia

Samantha Burke has finally opened up about her relationship with Jude Law in an exclusive interview with Hello magazine. She shares the first pictures of five-week-old baby Sophia and talks about how she met Jude and why they broke up, confirms that Jude is yet to meet his daughter, and reveals Sophia is already taking after her father. Here are the highlights:

On Sophia's features: "She has Jude’s chin and nose, and she does a little pout, that I notice he’s done before."
On whether Jude has visited them yet: "There are no plans for it to happen at the moment, but I know he’s busy."
On her relationship with Jude: "I ran into Jude in a nightclub one night. I instantly knew who he was, but he seemed really funny; he was cracking jokes with people and he included me in that. The next thing I knew I was on the pavement outside, being twirled around – it was a lot of fun. Following that initial meeting, Jude and I went out several times. He was a lot of fun to be around, always making me laugh and smile."

On why their relationship ended: "I was scheduled to move to Pittsburgh to help care for my grandmother. I really have no regrets."
On why she waited to tell Jude about the pregnancy: "I needed time to come to terms with it myself before telling him. By the time that I attempted to contact him, he had been back in the UK for quite a while. The US-based number that I had for Jude no longer worked. Shortly after that, my representative spoke with one of his."
On how Sophia takes after Jude: "He’s very talented, and she might be just as talented, too: she might take after him. She’s already quite theatrical – I’ve noticed she makes a lot of dramatic moves!"
On her future relationship with Jude: "It would be great if we can have a friendship and be cordial. I want everything to be positive around Sophia, I don’t want any negativity. I’m really easy to get along with, so hopefully we can work things out."

Christina Picks Pumpkins After Spilling About Sexuality

Christina Aguilera spent the weekend getting ready for Halloween by following other celebrities' lead and picking pumpkins in West Hollywood with hubby Jordan Bratman and their son Max. She's also Cosmopolitan UK's November cover star, and revealed her preference for female bodies in her frank interview with the magazine. Here are the highlights:

On women's bodies: "I’ve always had fun playing up to my sexual side. I think women are such sensual beings. And, I mean, I’m attracted to men ultimately – I’m married and I love my husband and I love what we do together, but honestly? If I had a choice between viewing a naked man or a naked woman, I’d choose the woman. We’re just naturally sexier and more beautiful to look at."
On sexuality: "I just appreciate sexuality … in the past people have had to be ashamed of their sexuality. So I love to embrace it – there’s such a sense of freedom in it."
On being nude: "I feel sexiest in the nude … [My husband] has a way of making me feel sexy … When you see something you dislike and your partner looks at you and embraces it. It makes you feel good. You know, the scars of life are beautiful."

On keeping the romance alive with Jordan: "It’s important to make time for yourselves. I don’t like schedules – I don’t think sex should be scheduled. On changing her image: "It’s like tapping into different sides of yourself and your past, and getting to feel good about it. I still get that sense of, ‘Wow, I did that, I was that girl.’ I love looking back and seeing so many different sides of myself and knowing that I experimented … there was a reason I did it and I consciously felt good going into it … I get bored when things are too safe, or too played by the rules."
On being a mother: "It’s important for me to be the first person [Max] sees when he wakes up and the last thing he sees when he goes to bed … there are a few songs that have been inspired by him. But as far as it affecting me creatively – like, I shouldn’t be wearing that because I’m a mum – no. Because that wouldn’t be fair to me. It’s important to keep a strong sense of yourself when you’re a mum. You’re still you, and you can still be confident in your sexuality. I’d never give up my musical or artistic side just to be a mother. There’s got to be a balance and I want to set that example – as the kind of woman I want my son to respect."
On her abusive father: "I used to be very motivated and driven to succeed by the negative in my past, by remembering the abuse and not wanting to repeat that for myself. But in embracing my new family and my home life, I’m completely inspired by the positive. I truly have been able to let go and know that that was my past and that was the card I was dealt."

Robbie Williams Talks Take That and Drug Trauma in GQ

Robbie Williams is on the cover of November's GQ magazine as well as starring in a nine page feature. He gives a candid interview about his new love Ayda Field, the new Trevor Horn-produced album Reality Killed The Video Star, his most recent trip to rehab, his restored relationship with the Take That boys and what he did with his three years off! Here's a few extracts from Robbie's interview:

On his prescription drug addiction: "If I hadn't gone into rehab I would have died. The left arm was going numb, chest was contracting. That's the sign isn't it, that you're on your way out?"
About meeting with Take That had in 2008: "We all had a massive chat, one of those chats that other bands who split up can't seem to have. It was really healing, if that doesn't sound too nancy. And at the end of it everything had gone and we were in the kitchen and I had my arm round Gary. I just loved him. I think he felt the same way. It was really beautiful... You know what? It was a real laugh, seeing them. They're really really lovely. There's that special something that could only be felt by the five of us. It was bizarre, beautiful, euphoric."

On how he felt about the success of Take That: "How did I feel about it? I don't really know to be honest. Will he ever rejoin the band? "It will happen. But not in the next 18 months, two years. There's contracts to fulfil. And then I can do what I want... then go 'Can I go and play with my mates now?'"

Cheryl Cole stars in a gorgeous photoshoot in November's Elle magazine, and she also spoke exclusively to the magazine in an interview to accompany her stunning pictures. She underlines her previously expressed thoughts on trust, talks about Ashley's infidelity, marriage, family and the importance of female friendships. Check out some extracts from her interview:

On trust: Do you trust Ashley? "I don't trust anybody." Not even your mum? Yeah, me Mam. And me Dad. They're me parents. But you always hold that 20 percent back for yourself. Not everyone does. "Really? I think it's key. I think it's key for your own sanity. You've got to protect yourself."
On Ashley's infidelity: "I know from a perspective how it looks but it's not like that. And I'm not a stupid girl. I'm not one of those girls who can't see things for what they are. I've been out with idiots in the past. Ashley's such a nice guy. I still get the butterflies. Even when he rings my phone I get that thing."
On marriage: "I think marriages are something you have to work at. Marriages are not rose-petaled paths that you skip down, they were never intended to be. It's not supposed to be easy, it's not supposed to be perfect. That's why it's called a fairytale isn't it? It's not real. Love is real and the feelings of love are real. But the thought that everything is going to be rosy and there's never going to obstacles that come in your way, that there is never going to be any testing in life, I'd hate that. I want to experience life. I want to experience the bad to know what the good is."

On the previous negative public perception of her: "I didn't like myself when I read about me, so why would anyone else? I was quite obsessed with reading the stuff about myself and almost questioning my own self. Am I that person? My family don't seem to think so, my friends don't think so."
On going solo: "It's scary to put yourself out there to be judged again. That is absolutely the fear of going solo. And I'm talking about the fear of God, from my toes to my hair... I can catch Ashley playing [my] songs on his iPod, it's quite sweet really."
On family: I can't wait to have children. Even if all this went tomorrow and I just had my family and my kids and my husband and my parents, I'm happy. The thing people don't realise about football is that [Ashley's] career could end tomorrow with an injury. You just don't know. So maybe he'll end up being a house husband and I'll still end up working a little bit. Who knows how I'll feel when I've had the child."
On friendship: "Imagine that you had no girlfriends. You're in the shit. Men don't understand hormones. We need each other."

Kristen Stewart Looks Killer in Interview Magazine

Kristen Stewart is looking gorgeous in this photo spread in the new issue of Interview magazine, as she starts to publicise the upcoming installment in the Twilight series, New Moon. In the accompanying interview she speaks out on the interest in her personal life, how the vampire movies have made her feel boring, graduating high school and more. Here are some extracts from her interview:

On everyone talking about her personal life: "There's nothing you can do about it, I don't talk to anybody about my personal life and maybe that perpetuates it too. But it's really important to own what you want to own and keep it to yourself."
On feeling dull due to Twilight: "The sad thing is that I feel so boring, because Twilight is literally how every conversation I have these days begins."
On just getting her high school degree: "I went to public school up until junior high. I know it’s a little late and I’m a little old, but I just finished high school-with honors. The other day I was doing a graduation scene on Eclipse, and I had just finished high school myself the week before, so I told the crew, “Hey, just so you know, I’m actually graduating right now, and I’m not going to have another ceremony.” So I took a mock picture with an extra. I literally asked the actor to come back and shake my hand and hand me the diploma while I was dressed in a cap and gown."

On getting lots of attention: "Yeah, it’s weird. There’s an idea about who I am that’s eternally projected onto me, and then I almost feel like I have to fulfill that role. Even when things come out of my mouth, I want to be sure I’m saying exactly what I mean. All I’m thinking of is the fact that everything that I say is going to be criticized - not criticized, just evaluated and analyzed. And it’s always something that matters so much to me that doesn’t come out right. But in terms of how my life has changed, I never really went out a whole lot before. I’m sort of an in-my-head kind of person. I wish I could take more walks."
On spending lots of time in her hotel: "That said, the only way for me not to have somebody know where I went the night before is if I didn’t go out at all. So that’s what I’m trading. It depends what mood I’m in. Some nights, I think, “You know what? I don’t care. I’m just going to do what I want to do.” Then the next day I think, “Ugh. Now everyone thinks I’m going out to get the attention.” But it’s like, no, I actually, for a second, thought that maybe I could be like a normal person."
