Katy Perry is known for her daring makeup and clothing, but last night at the This Is It premiere in LA, she chose an understated look. Her eye makeup, which made her eyes look incredibly bright and clear, was especially nice. It was a smoky eye, using bright shadow instead of dark liner on the bottom, and the complementary tones looked amazing.

Ugly Betty's Becki Newton looked lovely at the Elle Women in Hollywood Tribute, no? While her skin looks rosy and flawless, the focus is all on the eyes. Using just a bit of shimmer is an easy way to draw attention to your eyes, and as Becki's makeup artist Jamie Greenberg explains, it's easy to do.

Need proof that subtlety is more alluring than in-your-face sexiness? Witness Megan Fox, who showed off a ladylike style at Spike TV's Scream Awards this weekend. With her long locks tucked away to create the illusion of a bob (here's how), she looked sophisticated and poised.

Someone get me Halle Berry's phone number, because I want to know all of her fountain-of-youth secrets. At the Keep a Child Alive Black Ball in NYC, she had heads turning to get a glimpse of her in that super-sexy cutout cocktail dress. I love how her mismatched earrings play off of her short, tousled pixie cut, and the warm brown and salmon-pink tones of her makeup create a glowing effect.

At the premiere of Chris Rock's documentary Good Hair (which I am waiting with bated breath to watch) last night, there was a lot of glam — and a whole lot of fake hair, as at any red carpet event. To find out how to get her nude and neutral-shaded look, just keep reading

Jennifer Aniston may have skipped the red carpet at the Oscars, but she shone on stage. Leave it to Jen to have a simple but glamorous hairstyle, along with a sun-kissed face shown off by a genuine smile. "She is the quintessential California glamour girl," says makeup artist Angela Levin.

If you're in the mood for a truly rock-and-roll costume, people don't come much cooler than David Bowie. The androgynous, glam-rock look of his Aladdin Sane years takes a bit of energy to pull off, but it's worth the effort. MAC senior makeup artist Louise Zizzo, who did the Jem makeup tutorial, shows us how to get this space-rocker look.

Team Bella loves Sam Fine, and not just because he's a top makeup artist who's worked with some seriously bold-faced names (Halle, Beyonce, Tyra, among many others). Nope, we love him because he's happy to share his expertise in a friendly, easy-to-digest way. In his just-released DVD, Fine: The Basics of Beauty ($24.99), Fine teaches makeup basics through a series of makeovers and tutorials.

We already know that actress Maggie Q does glamazon-gorgeous well, but it's fun to see her hit the red carpet with a more natural (yet equally beautiful) look as well. At the premiere of The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3, she looks bright-eyed and beautiful. To fake this look at home in five minutes, all you need is a five-step process.
